I agree whith you on the brown being superior version. You can easily give it a black wash to make it more darker and closer to the game without it washing out all the sculpted details.
With a blackwash this will look dope as hell, probably more accurate to the source material than the normal relase tbh
This guy looks sweet I have the old direct one and love it but I love the stylization of this guy

Dope review Josh! I think I'll wait for the regular versions of these figs. The only reason I think they put out the Gold Labels First is to actually sell them rather than just collecting dust like past GLs. I think if they put out the regular versions first most people would have skipped these. Also it gets people to buy from the McFarlane Toys Store...
I love the paint apps on the face, it’s amazing, It looks like a really fun fig for sure, can’t wait for the Arkham city wave

Josh, I do dig the McFarlane Arkham renderings, to me they are some of his best sculpted figures. To beat a dead Joker fish(I know not the source material 😉) the Joker is supreme. Most of the others are labors of love. This version of the Scarecrow has a vivid quality. He is one of truly terrifying Scarecrows out there. I normally avoid monochromatic figures. Gah! he is sold out. I will see if he comes back on stock. 😎✌️
The head reminds me of the Taskmaster.
both of these figures seem like they would do amazing with some special lighting the standard might be my main scarecrow

Awesome review as always, my friend! That is a sick figure. Really like the brown color, as opposed to the black. I think he does go great with regular comic figures and agree McFarlane has come a long way with how he's approaching the video game figures. Looking forward to seeing what the Infinite Frontier Scarecrow figure will look like.

Figure looks great but I think I’ll wait for the regular version. I hope the next Arkham Knight figure we get is either Poison Ivy or Harley Quinn.
I have the DC Collectible version and that one has lots more color. I hope the regular retail version has more paint.

I persinally prefee the brown for the coat and body but the original versions head coloring. Def will pick up the gold label and do a head swap!

Surprised this is out so quick. I’m not big fan of the red hood gold label but this scarecrow doesn’t look half bad. Hope the regular release is bit more than that pic you shown as if it is I’d be better with my dc collectibles one. Nah I don't think the regular release will be black, it's gotta be a prototype, he's not black in the game...that would be just weird. The regular version is gonna look like he does in the game with more paint apps and stuff

Man I would have loved to get this but making it a mcfarlane exclusive was dirty. Shipping costs made it definitely not worth it for people who live outside USA.
