In my opinion, this show is far better than the game. I also really hope they can do some spinoffs in this world to keep this universe going after the main story ends.

What we don’t see on camera is that she tests positive for the fungal infection - the shot they give her ends up killing her. They offer her food and toys to make sure she does happy. We later see Joe toss her dead body onto the fire 😢
Think they did it to show us what happens when someone tries to come in to the quarantine zone. They checked her, she was infected so they euthanized her, then you can see Joel putting that girls body into the fire when he is reintroduced
