L’air is on my top 5 list, a masterpiece to me. Recently tried a sample of Au coeur and fell in love all over again. I haven’t found anything else that evokes the same feeling.
@@ThePerfumeGuyI concur L'Air is a masterpiece but it smells too much like a spice market for me, although I love it on others. I wear Histories irreverent quite a bit, it's one of my favorites from the house. I don't find it dry on me. On my skin it smells like balmy resins.
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like Andy Tauer L'air de desert and au cuir de desert and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed night
I’m on the hunt for a lemon blossom perfume. Everyone always does orange blossom but lemon blossom smells so much better to me! Would you ever do a lemon blossom video?
Tauer makes really excellent fragrances. I ordered some fragrances from Lucky scent about ten years ago and they sent me a couple of samples, among others Orange Star. It floored me. It’s still my favorite from Tauer but Lonestar Memories is a close second. Yeah, fantastic stuff!
Sebastian, I just moved and had to move all my fragrances, and it was an unbelievable headache! First of all, you have to physically move them, and then you have to organize them and find a place to put them all. I noticed all your bottles around in the video and I knew you would be in the same shape I was, but worse!😊 As far as Tauer fragrances, I love both LDDM and ACDD, but prefer LDDM. The only other Tauer fragrance I have purchased is Sundowner. I really like that one! I’m with you on vetiver. It’s going to take one that’s a little different from the others to get my attention. Fortunately, I can’t stand oud, so it’s not that I’m tired of it…I never liked it from the start! Way too strong and off-putting for my liking. 😊
@@ThePerfumeGuy: OMG! I can’t imagine that. I “only” have a little over 200 and I dreaded doing it every day for months. Still working on it, actually! 😳🤯
Wow, this title immediately attracted me. I simply love Au Couer de Désert. Own just a couple of tiny vials, of course. Maybe some day I'll buy a full bottle.
Oooo I like the thought of Ambre Khandjar. Sampled it in the summer and it was a bit much in the heat. Now is certainly the time for it. This was an awesome vid Sebastian!!! 🧡🖤
I really prefer Au Coeur du Desert, and I’m glad you reminded me about it! It’s been a while since I’ve worn it, so I will definitely wear it now! I also love Blonde Amber by Clive Christian-agree with your comments about it. Great video, as always! ❤
I love L'Air Du Desert , the other ones I have are Irreverent and tango, need to try some of the others. For the prices Nexin is going out right now, no thanks 😆 Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
Great choice for a video Sebastian, I still own & love them both, but I also love the Byzantine Amber & MPEG Ambre Tibet also Kandahar and own all three. I really don't like Tango not sure what note is in there that bothers me but I never reach for it, glad I only bought a 10ML decant. Sounds like your feeling better, glad to hear. Cheers Brutha 😎
L'Air is a masterpiece but it smells too much like a spice market for me, although I love it on others. I wear Histories irreverent quite a bit, it's one of my favorites from the house. I don't find it dry on me. On my skin it smells like balmy resins and tons of styrax from my bottle 🖤
The Ramon Bejar Deep Amber Extrait sounds like it could be my favorite thing, but it doesn’t seem to be available for purchase anywhere. It’s new, launched this year. The brand’s website only lists discontinued products, and there’s no way to purchase directly from them.
I have the original and the next iteration. ACDD is smoother. I guess I’ll buy the newest iteration. I’m not going to fuss about finding a substitute 😂 I think a lot of them are beautiful in their own way. LDDM wasn’t without origin or history.
I've never been a fan of vetiver. I don't disllike it per se, but I think i might be a bit sensitive to it. It tends to overpower any fragrance its in for me and as a result any fragrance with a decent dose of vetiver just ends up being vetiver. Like someone in a room who yells and you can't hear anyone else talk unless you try really hard.
I'm not a fan of Golestan, so I say that you can skip it. It seems like he's trying to branch out, but I prefer his older stuff. My favorite vetiver right now is Serge Lutens Vetiver Orientale, nutty vetiver, so it gives it a different texture somehow.
Annick Goutal'd Ambre Fétiche used to be my favourite dry amber, but sadly, reformulation ruined it. The new Ambre Sauvage is interesting but not as good as AF.
Oh yes, I need a bottle of that. Will look. I remember the current formulation is so watered down compared to the one I bought in 2012 which was a beast! :)

why would you ever need an alternative?
People get bored! I'm sure it happens to a lot of people! They need a change! ;)
@@wjustinmartin Because it's overpriced/too expensive

Doza is another one that's getting some love here on UA-cam.

Doza is SOOOO GOOOOOOD and I feel like it's a really slept-on and overlooked fragrance. Especially great for cooler nights and colder weather.
Wow! This is awesome! Very excited for this!
Hope you enjoy it!

This is one of my favorites. I remember the first time I had my first smell, heaven in a bottle!

Very interesting! Ambre Khandjar sounded so amazing that I immediately ordered a discovery kit from Une Nuit Nomade (I have never tried them before).
Love me some LDDM and ACDDM but my fav alternative (not a clone ) is MP African Leather.

Histoires is a fantastic House. Have several from them. Underrated for sure.
I have ACDD and a little left of the original LADDM formulation. I love both and agree that the extrait is smoother.

Wow! I was just thinking about purchasing Tauer's Au Couer du Desert. I much prefer it over L'Air... Thanks, Sebastian!
Happy to help!
Ambre Khandjar is a love for me, the scent of a tobacco processing factory of my childhood. (even tho they don't list tobacco)
You should also check the rest of En Aparte by HdP
Fragonard Santal is very close, creamy and has longevity

I really love the A'cour du desert
Quite good for sure!!
I would add Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens and Ambre Fetiche by Goutal
Carillon pour un ange by Andy Tauer
I looked verry long to buy a bottle and now it's my favorite!!

Dendera by Centauri perfumes always reminds me of LDDM

I've seen a few reviews of Barkhan. I'll have to get my nose on that.
It's definitely one of the best out there.
Arte Profumi Samharam, gotta try it!

I want Ambre Platine. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
I don't Tauer Perfume I like the sound of au couer du desert. Must check it.
I’ve been trying to get PATCHOULI IMPÉRIAL Dior but it’s been discontinued here in South Africa
Is there anyway I can get it
Great list of fragrances

to me, Parfum a la Nuit 3 is very similar to A’couer du Desert
Hmm I'll have to compare but off the top of my head I never connected them. But then again all noses are different. We smell things differently! :)
