A Perfect Circle "3 Libras" (Remix Version) live at Red Rocks from the "Stone & Echo" DVD. Copyright with owner, I do not have any rights on this video.
This is a great twist on the original. Artists always try to keep it fresh with their live performances, extending or jamming in the middle of the song. This performance is nothing short of Amazing.
Damn... I really didn't want that to be over. I also feel a sadness that I didn't get to be there for this. It looks like that place was filled with amazing energy and they seem like they were in rare form sonically.
It's technically not a remix, which would be a manipulation of master recordings, usually by another artist (remixes by the same artists are usually referred to as VIP/variation in production). There could have been multiple versions recorded and the strings section became the album version. That's the one we all grew up on but I have to say this one fits the tone and sound of Mer De Noms much more closely. This may have been an earlier version (pure conjecture and I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, which is very possible).
it's a good rendition of 3 libras not gonnal lie, but I'm thinking how many people felt blueballed when they thought they gonna hear the original version but they got this one instead._.
I was looking for the more conventional acoustic the first time I heard this. This isn't my preferred version of the song, it's one of my favorite musical performances.
Nah, Maynard can sing this way more easily than he would with a track like the grudge. This is the massive attack remix track that they did with APC. Regardless, the original 3 libras track is light work for him to sing. I think they don’t play the original because Paz isn’t there, so they made a variation that suited the tone when they made things during thirteenth step.
original was better. don’t see the point in ruining a song like this. not to mention they did it at Lollapalooza and i believe i’ve seen it done like this another time and it’s by far one of the worst live performances i’ve ever seen. there’s just no reason for it. doesn’t make any sense. the song was fine. too many bands do this shit where they try to change something up live to sound better or to be different and sometimes you just can’t. this song is amazing the way it is and this just shits on the original. hate it. the song was perfect before. this is garbage.
I do not agree. For me it is a completely different song. It does not matter it is based on some existing one. Do not compare them, it has no sense for doing that, just take it as a new one. As a non native English speaker I focus much more on the music than lyrics, so it helps a little maybe :).
@@gogulusss if they were keen to make something different then might as well make a new song rather ruining an already great song. By the way song a comprises of music and lyrics unless it's an instrumental band. 3 libras is an amazing song but this I dont know what the hell was this..
My perspective on this remix is completely the opposite, I heard the concert and this version of 3 libras blew me away, harder, more abstract, but as an ardent fan I know 3 libras and can fill in the blanks, Maynard gives Billy the limelight and he delivers with epic solo, after first hearing I lost where I heard it from, so ages later, after talking about finding hard version of 3 libras, I have it again to hear regularly. If you were at the concert and got to hear this version, I would be so happy to hear something unique.
Deep, dark, unfinished, repeated...just perfect
As a musician, i find this version awesome, not better but different.

I just think this was the wrong song to do that with.
He can do whatever he wants ....and it's beautiful.it is true art.it is never done.
He? They
wwoooooowwww amazing... beautiful!!!! awesome!!! dont find a words to explain... unbelievable!!
This version and performance is off the charts

this is one sick remix
Oh that's funny because I thought it said 3 Libras live and not 3 Libras remix live.

Sounds very dark. I like it.
Never satisfied or complacent. Always exploring. Wishing I had an ounce of their juice.

Whoa
Yo this is the massive attack remix from aMOTION
Not 3 Libras
Holy shit balls
Its not difficult to see through!
If the Cure made bad covers, this would be their bad "3 Libras" cover.
They ruined a perfectly good song
weird version i like the original better
They probably don’t do the original version anymore because Maynard can’t sing it these days .
