"Roma..." his final words echoed throvgh the halls. Only a faint gasp left his movth before the silence began. Rome could hear everything. The wind flying through her graciovs hair. The cries of their people ovtside. The parting grass as animals took their first steps. Her own pvlse and exasperated breath. Bvt not a single sovnd escaped from the lifeless body on the grovnd.
As she stared down at the scene before her, the gravity of her actions finally dawned on her. Her eyes widened as she realised the man who had accompanied her throvgh the vnknown labyrinth of life- her colleagve, her teacher, her friend- was no longer here to gvide her. And it was her favlt. The realisation svnk in her as she took a stepped back. Her body didn't feel like it belonged to her anymore. Her legs weren't svpporting her weight. Her chest heaved for another. Her head was non-existant in the grand scheme of things. Her hands were no longer clean.
She felt all the pain indvced to her mentor a thovsand times over. She felt everything.
