I was crying throughout this whole video. I just hope these adorable animals will be loved forever and not just ignored or abused. Having an animal is a huge responsibility.
These video are of course adorable. But as someone who works in animal rescue, please PLEASE do not gift someone a puppy. A puppy is a HUGE commitment and a ton of work. Taking on a puppy is a decision a person needs to make for themselves. So many gifted puppies end up abandoned in animal shelters. Some of these are parents giving puppies to their children, and of course that's different because the parents are taking on the responsibility, but do NOT gift a puppy to someone you don't live with or aren't willing to take responsibility for yourself.
Thank you - my 1st thought. And even if someone talks about "how nice it would be to get a puppy" - I would prefer an Italian greyhound over a bernese 🤷🏻♀️ There is a difference between a kuvacz and a teckel... Also a present for christmas is not some good idea - even if parents buy a Pet for their children. Because it's christmas time, everything is a little bit different... Wait until new year or buy the Pet in november. Oh, and never buy from a puppy mill! Go to your local shelter or - if you really want a puppy - ask a breeder with one or two different breeds. Wath how the dogs live (and how they are integrated in the family). When you see the Mother acting normal with her humans and her puppies, this is a big thumbs up 👍🏻
My father and sister tried to gift me goldfish and I didn't even have a tank or anything, as a birthday present. I said no I don't want them why didn't you ask me first etc. etc. and they had to take them with them because I refused to. I don't know how to take care of fish. And I've always had cats. I might've even had a cat at the time and I was sharing a Victorian flat in SF with roommates. I do not know what they were thinking.

Bisogna stargli dietro.
I have always grown up with rescue dogs, even in the 60’s my parents got rescues. My son got his own dog (we already had a beautiful boy that we shared) when he was 6, a beautiful red Australian kelpie named Rusty, who knew that he was my son’s dog, slept with him and protected him. Having a dog, or any pet, teaches children how to respect, care and have compassion for animals. I have volunteered with animal rescue and at one stage we had 5 little darlings living with us and it was my idea of heaven. All gone now, leaving massive holes in my heart that will not heal until I see them again. My son is also an animal lover, he is extremely placid but told me that he would never stand by and witness anyone hurt an animal, he would physically get in their face and even hurt them if he had to, to protect an animal.
If someone was going to give me a puppy as a gift, I would want to (a) choose it, and (b) name it. It seems kind of strange (and I would add "off about") when a person hands someone else a new puppy that they themself picked out, and then informs the recipient of the name the giver has already chosen for someone else's pet. It takes part of the joy and fun out of the entire process.

Perhaps, if you’re not a big fan of gifting pets, DON’T WATCH VIDEOS OF VERY HAPPY PEOPLE GIFTING PETS. Seems pretty simple. The comments are completely ridiculous.
The author is absolutely correct. A puppy should never be a gift outside of a husband to a wife or vice versa. Gifting someone a puppy is essentially tying them to a commitment for the next 10-15 years that they may not want or be prepared to handle. I watched this happen to my cousin. They lost their dog and some friends gifted them a Border Collie puppy within a couple of months. Not only did they not want another dog, but had limited finances for vet bills, etc. The dog never got welcomed as a member of the family and eventually ran off when the left the door open.
@@aeromedical6776 so, in other words, don’t give a puppy to somebody who has no business getting a dog. That’s a no-brainer. Giving a pup to someone that LOVES dogs and has no problem caring for one is a great blessing for the dog, and the new owner. Lighten up Francis.
@@videditorEB1 - so you get to make the call that just because they’re a dog lover, gifting them a puppy is all right? What if they aren’t ready for another dog at that time? Maybe they desire to be dogless for a time and decide for THEMSELVES when it will be the right time for another one. Maybe they are still grieving over their loss and still need time to adjust. @@aeromedical6776 maybe they do. But maybe they don’t. I get your point, not everybody should have a dog. Totally correct. Now you know why John Wick slaughtered an army for the death of his puppy.
Hey, thanks y’all for ruining a sweet video. You are ALL peaches!
What makes you the deciding factor that springing a new puppy on someone is a blessing? My wife and I are as big a dog lover as you will find. I would have words with someone who thought gifting us a new puppy was a smart idea.
@@aeromedical6776 maybe they do. But maybe they don’t. I get your point, not everybody should have a dog. Totally correct. But if a person or family has the means and the desire to, which certainly a good friend would know, why not gift a pup?? You know, there’s a negative side of EVERYTHING. Thanks for showing us which side of the line you fall on. Nice. I promise to never give you a dog.
