Had it for a month and it’s amazingly. Been making incredible steaks of all kinds. Sear them then cook to desired temp. So damn good!! Let the sear zone run 3-5 minutes before throwing the steak on.
Great video Roelster just as all the rest, I have received my P 500 Phantom 2 weeks ago, already burned 10 kg of gas, great looking with the cast RVS grates and excellent performance, combines great with the Egg, greets from Rotterdam!
Ordered in June. Was on back order, pricing went up, good thing I ordered when I did. Received the phantom in August. Took 4 hrs to put together. Received no spit rod for rotisserie, used only handful of times. Paint coming off corner on grill and door frame bent door falling off and blue light not working on knob on 1 end of the grill. Not happy for the $ spent.
I own a Nap Prestige Pro since years, with the heavy stainless steel grates. I'm looking forward to upgrade my grates, but you should know that BroilKing offers these cast iron SS grates since years...
Really nice. But Broil King imperial has got since years stainless steel cast grill grates. They are awesome and I will never change to another material. But I have to say that the grates from Napoleon looks better. So welcome in the club of stainless steel cast grill grates. Definitely a nice grill.

How's the black coating holding up, I saw one video that didn't address it but you could see grease stains all over. I have been leaning strongly towards the pro...prestige pro 500. I do love the black amd the grates tho. Would love to hear your thoughts
I’m stuck between the Phantom and Prestige Pro 500 myself. I want these grates and that top shelf so badly, but I asked and the grates won’t work in the pro so I have some decisions to make.
@@NightingaleNews So I just ordered the pro, I think the grates it comes with are more than great and the top rack being nice on the Phantom personally wasn't enough for me. The biggest reason however is the cleaning and maintenance of the black coating. I have a feeling grease and smugs would show all over it. I was able to find a few photos where you can see grease streaks all down the front panel where the control knows are. Also just cleaning in general is going to be more tricky.
@@pines2000 I literally just ordered the Pro tonight! I read some reviews where people were saying the black scratches really easily so I had to pass. I’m excited. It comes with the commercial rotisserie too! Happy for you!

"Matte" black. ;-). NICE BBQ! I used to own a Napoleon grill many years ago and I loved it, but I could never find any replacement parts for it so I got rid of it and went to another brand. I MIGHT have to take a look at them again for my next Natural Gas BBQ to go along with my two smokers. I hope they sell this model in Calgary, Canada!

I have a older one and I put a grate over the heat deflectors and used lava rocks and man way more even heat .

I'm not familiar with gas grills at all, but I have doubts that regular gas grills have cast stainless steel grates.

You get also the grates as spare part. I have brought them and pimped my Broil King regal.

Good thing it's a gas grill. Stainless steel is no good for charcoal grilling, it leaks nickel and chrome.
What am I missing? Is this not an extremely expensive PROPANE/GAS grill? Does the food taste better?
