    Dear Subscribers (Thank You) Please Be Patient ! This Series of Videos was very systematically designed to be a "Fail-Proof" way of EVENTUALLY learning how to play Zydeco Accordion on ALL THREE Rows (as well as Blues & some other Surprises). As often mentioned throughout the first 4 Videos, we are Purposely going very Slow & Rudimentary. Those of you who are indeed Patient & see the Light ar the End of the Tunnel will truly be Rewarded. Those who can't wait, or don't understand how thoroughly I am trying to cover this very difficult to learn Instrument may or may not benefit elsewhere, or perhaps they can just go it on their own. I am currently designing our 5th Video, where things are really going get Interesting as promised in Pt. 4. Sorry for the long wait, but it will be well worth it. Thanks again for Subscribing (my 1st Videos ever) & for your Faith & Support - you won't be disappointed.

    Very good explanation of the relation between Zydeco and euopean 3-row accordion, thanks for sharing your knowledge to us.

    I play CBA but I've been interested in the Tex-Mex and related genres. This was a great intro. I was wondering about several things until you showed the "helper" notes. Those are the game-changers. :) Finding resources for CBA was impossible. I finally found a teacher and I took off. What resources are there for diatonic. The bi-sonorous aspect is kind of mind-bending.

    Whoops (#1) - Although this was the best Take of many attempts, now I'm finding a few errors in my narration here & there. At 00:27 What I pointed at & called the "First Row", I meant to say the "Second or Middle Row (C Row). In the Key of C, the "C-Middle Row" is "First" of importance, Because the C chord is the "I" chord of the Key where F is the "IV" chord & G is the "V" chord. So on the PUSH on a GCF Diatonic f/ the "Middle" (2nd) row you have C- the I chord (s), on the "Top" (3rd) row you have F- the IV chord(s) & on the "Bottom" (1st) row you have G- the V chord(s). Pretty confusing, huh ? Maybe that's why many may stick to their Single-Rows :), because at first the 3-rows can be quite intimidating. Well, we're gonna change that on my Channel, because once you learn how this particular Accordeon is laid out you will find just how amazing this little Box is, & all the cool Licks, etc. you can get out of it. SFMSU (Sorry For My Screw Ups) - Will be correcting them as they are found. Enjoy & Learn.

      Master-Murphy hi just bumped into videos and I appreciate your tutorials . I don’t know anything about accordions and music period . I want to learn how to play this instrument and was told to buy a beginners accordion which is the hohner panther gcf and now I see why they call it a gcf thanks to you . I would appreciate if you can make more videos explaining the more in details with each button etc as I don’t understand that part . Maybe I have to learn reading music I don’t know . Any help will be appreciated. Thank you for your time

    What do u suggest the beginner should start out with what push button accordion? Is it harder to learn then the piano accordion? Thanks for sharing.

      It is easier to learn the diatonic accordion than to learn piano accordion … *IF* you aren't a piano player already. Although it's still a hard instrument to learn, it's not nearly as difficult as learning piano or piano accordion. Diatonic accordions have a really intuitive design that allows new players to learn simple melodies of songs with relative ease, and for those who stick with it, amazingly complex songs can be played on them.
      One-row "Cajun" style of diatonic accordions (seen at 2:08) are attractive to many beginners because it looks simple, but there is no difference in difficulty between learning to play a one-row, a two-row, or a three-row.
      Three-row accordions are the most popular style of diatonic accordion in America because they're very popular among Latino musicians. You'll find _a lot_ of three-row diatonic accordions for sale out there - both new and used - and they're no more expensive than a solid starter instrument of any kind. Do not be tempted by super-cheap ones; they'll just let you down. If you're really serious about getting one, I'd buy a Hohner Compadre.
      Cajun accordions are awesome and unique, but they are very expensive. This is mainly because today they are all hand-made by small artisans, one at a time. Years ago they were mass-produced, but not anymore. That's why I always recommend either 2- or 3-row diatonic accordions.

    Bohemian46 - This is indeed such a mean-spirited comment, obviously coming from a very unhappy person - I feel very sorry for you. Honestly, my subscribers don't feel the way you do. You must remember, these are my very first videos on this type of accordion & also my first videos ever. My friends out there know what I'm talking about when I say "outer row, inner row, center row" etc. If you haven't yet, I strongly advise you to study all four of my videos (so far) on this accordion, where I am purposely focusing on beginning learning the Triple Row 1st as 3 separate Single Rows, then on the next (5th) video coming up, you will find me showing how to finally "blend in" all three rows together. Obviously you have not studied all four of these videos (my Friends out there could tell you that) - if you had, you would understand & respect my personal style of approaching learning this difficult instrument for my beginners. You may be a good accordion player (I don't know & I really don't care), but Brother - I KNOW this Accodion & can REALLY play it - you watch & see. If you spent more of your energy on being kind & practicing more accordion than posting unessesary mean comments, you yourself would become an even better player. After thoroughly watching my 4 videos you should see how wrong you are, how nasty you have been, & how much you owe me an apology Asshole, for all the hard work I am putting into this Project to help my many beginning Triple-Row followers. You really should be ashamed of yourself (my Subscribers will agree). Being the kind of mean person you are - you have NO place here YOU my Friend are doing a "Diservice" to my many grateful Subscribers. Go away - you are NOT welcome Here. Finally: Because of your Juvinilism, I strongly & kindly advise you to - "KISS MY ASS".

    Recently got a three row accordion. But it's tuned completely different. Making it impossible to learn. It seems every other three row accordion is tuned similar to yours. Any suggestions on deciphering this thing?
    Edit: the brand is Galotta

      There is a GCF accordion and a FBE tuned accordion, you may have the FBE version therefore your buttons are completely different :)

      @bveracka 8 місяців тому

      @@yanasopinion4580 That's true, but you can play the same songs on a F-Bb-Eb accordion, just in a different key. The fingering is exactly the same.
