I didn't know at all that I could have a wishlist!!! I'm excited now jajaja but the best part is how to keep your address secure! You always explain everything so good and with details 🙏 thank you for that, because I'm not that good at Amazon
Thanks for answering our questions. I'm still learning how to navigate Amazon. I like that they give us the option to know if items were purchased. Sometimes I don't want to spoil my surprises. I like that option.
Just to make sure, recently I noticed when I clicked on an item from my wishlist it popped up showing "You may have a gift" "Someone has already purchased this item from your list" Ik it's not always guaranteed or it totally depends but still am I gonna receive the item? In my case I see there are some possibilities. Also I was literally curious about it.
I have been wondering about this. I was going to make one a while back but I wasn't sure who could see it and really how it all worked. Thank you for sharing!
I’ve seen a video where a lady on Facebook is looking at people list & when she clicks on it; when she wants to buy it they give her the option to send it to herself or the other people. I do not see the persons address. I need to see you purchasing something from someone’s else. It would be more helpful since not all their info will not show

I don't really understand that 3rd party merchant thing you have to agree on. I clicked it, accepting it, but here is what I learned. I checked like 10 different 3rd party merchants, none of them offered a gift option, meaning the person buying an item for you off your wish list can only get it delivered to themselves. Yes, I did check that box for my address to be shared with 3rd party merchants, still it doesn't seem to be shared. Unless maybe they offer a gift option? 10 out of 10 I checked didn't offer that. So, the items from your wish list are always shipped from an amazon fulfillment center, not a 3rd party merchant. Your full name shows (I used a pseudonym for the recipient for the wish list, but gave my actual name when I had to enter my address for the wish list), your city and state shows (even though I didn't change my list to public, I kept it on private then shared the link to the wish list).
3rd party merchant means that the sellers (that are other than amazon ) will be getting your address when someone buys something for you (from their products). So that they can ship it to you. I am not sure you can test about the merchant cause You might have to impersonate them to test that scenario.
@@EntrepreneurMommie What people are worried about is someone who is getting them an item from their wishlist finding out their full address by receiving a receipt of their order from a 3rd party merchant, with the full address on it. Amazon won't share your full address with the gifter, but there is the question whether a 3rd party merchant would. Nobody is worried about a 3rd party merchant finding out your address, obviously they will have to know to be able ship something to you. However, in my experience 3rd party merchants are not really offering gift options, not participating in this wishlist thing, maybe a small percentage of them? I've yet to come across one that does. Whenever I tried to order something off someone else's wishlist, it was just being shipped from Amazon fulfillment center, not a 3rd party. But let me know if you have ever bought something for someone else, from their wishlist, and it was shipped by a 3rd party (to their address). I've only seen 3rd party merchants giving you the option to ship the item to your own address, or to enter another address, but unless you know the person who you are sending a gift for well, you won't know their address, so you won't be able to send any wishlist gifts to them via a 3rd party merchant. Hope that's clearer.
Yep I got you, will investigate this matter deeply and see how amazon third party merchants work with wishlists… thank you for your comments, they have helped me and I am sure some other viewers a lot!
Hi Will, if you only added products to your amazon wishlist that are fulfilled by Amazon, there should be no problem, but if you chose third party products then they might not be able to send those to you…
Okay, so I just tested it. Ordered something from my other amazon account. Your full name will show, even though I used a pseudonym for my amazon account with the wishlist, when I had to enter my shipping address for the wish list, ... Manage wish list, it asked for my name which I typed in, because how will the mailman find me without my actual name. (Maybe I can slightly misspell my name, but that's about it.) Also showed city, state. Full address stayed confidential, but this was an order that will be coming from amazon, not a 3rd party merchant. Has anyone actually tested this with a 3rd party merchant order? Did it show full address once you received confirmation email of your order from Amazon? P.S.: I kept my wish list private, and just shared the link, clicked on the link, bought something off my wish list.
It will display your address for the third party merchant but you have no way to check this unless you are the third party merchant, this is shown so they can send you the product was bought for you, the rest will work exactly as you described.
How interesting, I do not have an Amazon account, but I know that for the life of me I would like to make my gift list from there ... so this video serves me a lot! 😏❤️🙌🏿
