Thanks for this video. I had been working with an older version where it did not allow to type on the form. Downloaded the newer version of the form and boom I could put in the signatures. I appreciate all the work that you have put into it.Cheers!

We digitally signed IMM1344 in Sept- we got AOR in October , but got a notification in November to resubmit IMM1344 with hand signature. So we uploaded IMM1344 with both digital and hand signature(in remaining space)which was accepted. Good suggestion on LOE- but it’s absurd for us to inform them about their own instructions 😅
" Hand Sign " as in print it and sign, then scan it and upload ? Did you pay the fees again ?
Thank you Suyash. here is what we have done.
1. Digitally signed both Imm1344 , Imm 5532 ( FirstName+middleName(if applicable) + last Name
2. Hand signed Use of Representative ( for this form , instruction says sign it digitally or by hand )
3. Provided Letter of explanation explaining above showing the screenshots of Guide 5289 ( Labeled as lastname-firstName-PDF Forms Signature)
All supporting docs are also in check. Hopefully will receive AOR without any hassle.
I'm gonna do the same thing with all digital signature's and also screen shot of guide 5289 latest update's about digital signatures
Did you also typed/signed applicant name at applicant signature box as we have digital option now or you actually just typed only your name and sent again pdf's to applicant and did let applicant signed/typed their name at applicant signature box.

Hi Suyash, very nice and helpful video. I was digitally signing the form the way you showed. I am able to sign it. But once I open the form again just to check it if the signatures are there, I found that the signatures are missing on the page 8 (for both the PA and sponsor). The other two signatures are present on earlier pages. Those two missing signatures are only showing when we are zooming in or out the document but not at 100% zoom ratio (default when pdf is opened). The only way i can fix is adding a digital signature (rather than typing in a text box) using the Adobe feature (Add a signature). This signature still includes first and last name but in a fancy font. Is it still valid?
With these digital signatures option even sponsor could type applicant name at applicant signature box. so, how does IRCC know who actually signed their ? Sponsor could also sign at applicant's signature box by simply typing applicant name. which means sponsor could digitally sign at his/her signature box and also at applicant signature box. Is there any way that IRCC could know that sponsor typed his/her name only at sponsor's box not typed applicant name at applicant box ??

As a note, I received my AOR last week. I digitally signed the correct way, but I did not include my middle name from my passport. I generally sign only as my first and last, which is what I did and my application was accepted. I think therefore, it is most important that the first and last name match the passport perfectly.

Hello , and thanks again for another great video! Just something I noticed in the 5289 under "'filling out forms/ for all programs" forms that can be digitally signed when referring to the 5476 it's clearly says if using a paid representative or designated individual, it gives the link for the 5476 and there is a note beside - "for paid representatives". .. Then further down on the list of forms that need to be printed in hand signed, last on that list is the 5476 again, and clearly beside the link the note says - "for unpaid representatives". Maybe I'm wrong but we are about to submit and so I'm thinking in my case my wife is using me as an unpaid representative so I will have to hand sign according to the 5289 instructions I see here? This is so confusing. Your thoughts and input are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Yes it is confusing. Just hand sign the 5476. you should be fine.

What is the format is it Surname , Given Names or Given Names Surname
Smith, Robert or Robert Smith and also if you have two given names do you have to include it if its on the passport as well

Thank you again for the time you put into these. My application was rejected specifically in regards to the "consent and declaration" digital signature. There is no option to upload a hand signature for the consent and declaration so I just re-typed my wife's name and resubmitted. I did contact my local M.P. and the clerk stated if has occured already for other applications.

Since it all went online september 2022, my guess is you must have applied for exception to submit on paper. But watch out if you submitted on paper accidentally, it might get returned as they no longer except on paper applications for spousal sponsorship.
Did you had to pay the whole fee again ? or does the fee you paid earlier has validity ?

I’m here for a quick question and it’s regarding the fees of sponsoring your spouse. So my wife is in Montreal and we just submitted our application and everything we presented was perfect. However there’s still something i’m confused about and it’s the fee we payed we only Payed fee of Sponsor your spouse (without right of permanent residence fee) which came down to 650 CAD
And my question is am i still going to be able to get to canada to see my wife and then when i’m there i can apply for the right of the permanent residence?

I got my application rejected after 1.5 half month The reason was class of application not properly identified in the document checklist.This is my mistake wrong entered as in land.I did resubmitted the application everyone submitting do check the document check list too

No, your spouse still signs as PA but the info will be of child. child does not need to sign

Yes Most Likely, if you received AOR/medical/biometric request, applications are generally not returned after this stage. Let's hope it continues to go smoothly

I submitted my spousal sponsorship application on 2022-November-2.
I received my UCI and biometric on 2023-January-19.
Before I take my appointment for biometric,I received another email on 2023-January-23.
They emailed me and wrote: “ your application withdrawn due to immigration loan” .cuz my spouse(sponsor) did not pay her loan and, they refunded all the fee except 75$, my application progress closed. My spouse ( sponsor) payed her loan on 23-January-2023.
Now my application on portal account is still show submitted. Do I apply Again with a new application or should I be wait for portal account the submitted button change to returned ?
The portal may take forever to change. Since they have given you an official rejection, you can go ahead and start a new application
Hello Suyash, I am ready to send the application for my wife. However, on our portal (my wife is from Thailand), there is the form 5562 with a red ´required’ beside it… However, it is not required on the checklist and also when I enter Thailand in the guide 5289… should I forget about it?
Yes its been causing confusion since the update. Until IRCC clarifies it, just fill it out to be safe even if it does not show up in your country specific requirements.

There's alot of confusion with this digital signature. Dont you think they would have asked us to type name if they wanted us to use our name or are they asking for the actual signature signed with adobe pen. Please who has received AOR with this digital signature. we need more clarity please.
I agree. We signed with a tablet and pen. As long as its digital, it shouldnt matter. It doesnt state anywhere to type ur name as per passport. 1344 clearly states to type in name. Did u get aor?
As you mentioned the digital signature should match with name in the passport .I am confused now it should match with signature or the full name in the passport ?? Please reply
like I explained, it should match your full name (first name and last name) exactly as it appears on your passport. Not the hand signature that you might have done on your passport.

Hi i need ur suggestion plz help my husband applied for our inland spousal sponsorship app in Canada it got returned asking NOA n option C tax return( CRA documents) now since my husband is a new PR it's only been 5 months since v cam to Canada my husband has still not filled his taxes now shal v submit with latest pay subs n latest employment letter giving financial detail along wid a letter of explanation as y v can't provide CRA docs as hv not filled taxes OR WAIT till my husband file tax n then re apply? No you don’t have to wait to file TAX. Just submit with the paystubs, employment letter and all other financial documents with the letter of explanation as to why you cannot provide CRA documents. I did the exact same thing. Just make sure you select the right boxes in the document checklist otherwise if you select the NOA or proof of income statement option in 5533, they might ask you for proof.

for latest 5532 even if you print it as a pdf it doesn't allow you to type or edit anything.
There are two solution
Open the document in firefox, fill it out , sign, save as pdf
Or
Fill out the form> save it > Open file with firefox> sign > save as pdf
do we hand sign 5532 or digitally sign

Please help, I already signed the IMM 1344 with last name first and first name second. I validated it so the barcode is out already. Do I have to fill another form and sign with first name first and last name second ?
You can make corrections in the same form and validate it as many times as you want.

I submitted file in may 26 got emailed back as (Please note your application has been rejected for the following reason:
Consent and Declaration
If the principal applicant is 18 years of age or older, they must sign their own forms.) i did sign it again and submitted in same portal . Do i need to wait for 2 months for AOR ? Also file submitted date changed to 10/July
The resubmission will be treated as a new application and will therefore land at the end of the queue. There is no way to know with certainty when you’ll get your AOR. You’ll just have to wait until it comes. Hopefully it comes within 3 months.
