Hello @Shayan You did the great Job. Would you make another video on the latest portal for the IMM 5406 form filling Please? Just like you make another for IMM 0008.
Hello, I have 2 questions: 1. How to sign this document? Do we need to take print out, sign with pen and scan it? I don't find any option to add scanned signature in 5406 PDF 2. I came to Canada on Work Permit and then my Child born in Canada and he got Canadian Passport already. Later I got the OINP nomination and eventually ITA within immediate draw. Now my question is, as my child is already a canadian citizen, do I need to add my child as a dependent in my PR application? And Fill separate family info form on his behalf? I would really appreciate, if you could answer me on these questions.
Hi Suyash, Thanks for the update. Your videos are great. Please help me understand this. For suppose PR online inland application, an open work permit application can be submitted along with PR? or do you suggest submitting the work permit application separately after submitting PR? Please clarify
Hi, on my 3 other siblings and parent's email information, I didn't write any as they don't have one. For doing so, is it a misinterpretation as incomplete form? I didn't realize I can also put none or not application but instead I live it blank.
Hi Suyash, thanks for the detailed explanation on filling IMM 5406 online. I followed all steps indicated in the online portal and checklist for IMM 5046, with principal applicant "filling out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents." I had 1 form for the principal applicant (dad) and 1 form for the spouse (mom). I got an email from IRCC stating that my IMM 5406 was incomplete, and instead to "Please provide a current, completed, signed and dated Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) for the Principal Applicant and all dependants aged 18 and over, whether accompanying or not. Each individual must sign their own copy of this form by hand." This information is contrary to the online instructions and checklist, and looks like its instructions for the outdated paper signed form IMM 5406e. Even the form URL they linked in the request showed "We couldn't find that Web page. Error 404". I'm still going to fill out the 3 IMM 5406e forms by hand now, but have you seen this before where IRCC requests for documents from an outdated requirement? It's as if the agents processing this, are not aware of the new requirements from online submission.
this is so weird. A few people did reach out to me with a similar issue, regarding 5669. yours is 5406. so, yes, this has happened to a few out there. Not really sure how to get this done. my understanding is as good as yours here. its all online. they are going off of outdated instructions. I guess what you are doing is the only option I could also think of. but why 3 forms? it's your mom and dad right. one PA, one dependent, who is the third person? so should be 2 5406 forms, no?
@@HitSubmitCanada Hello Suyash, thanks for the response. Yes you are correct, only 2 forms for IMM 5406e, PA (dad) and dependent (mom). I originally misread and thought I needed to fill one myself as their child even though I’m not accompanying them. I read through the wording again, and since I’m not a dependant, I understand now I won’t need to fill a 3rd form. I was originally planning to call IRCC to question this, but figured it wouldn’t be worth the trouble. I will just hand fill 2 IMM 5406e forms and sign/scan/email them back to IRCC as requested. Thanks again for your video, explanations, and response.

Thank you for the video! I am a citizen of Canada and I am sponsoring my husband who lives outside of Canada. We don't have any dependent children. My spouse has parents and siblings in his family. As per your tutorial, it is my understanding that only my husband (principal applicant) needs to fill out IMM 5406. His parents and siblings don't fill out another version of this form nor does he need to fill it out on their behalf. Is this correct? Just double checking to make sure I understood correctly. :)
Hi. I'm the Principal applicant. Do i need to fill out just a single form mentioning details about my parents and sibling? I use the old portal, downloaded the EDITABLE PDF. I do not have access to the one you are showing in your video.

Hi Suyash, I have some questions: 1. What Date am I going to provide in the present address section?is it the present day that I am filling out the form? 2. For a deceased person, should I provide the date of when the person passed away? or the present day? Thank you very much.
Hey Suyash, Thanks for making videos regarding the online portal application. Just a small question, due to character limitation (63 characters), I cannot write my parents and even my name in native language as there is only one field for that. Is it mandatory to write names in native language? Should I write a separate Letter of explanation explaining the same?
it is required to write names in native language. if you are experiencing character length issues, you can absolutely attach the details in a separate word document.
@@HitSubmitCanada Hi, can you help me? I have few questions about section addittation family information. I'm applying for PR for myself. Section A, it asking for my parent's information and current address. Currently, my dad is in Canada as visitor visa. What address should I fill in his section? His address is in Canada or his address is in my home country.
Hello sir, thank you for such an informative videos. I have a clarification about the deceased parent what should I provide the date? The date of person passed away? Hope you will answer my question.😊
I am a Canadian citizen and my wife is an indian citizen. I applied for her PR and its in progress. However the baby is on the way. How do i apply for baby? And how long will it take?
if you are a canadian citizen then the baby will automatically inherit citizenship. Nothing to do with sponsorship application for the baby. just let ircc know via a webform. Once the baby comes, if the baby is born outside canada, you can apply for temporary passport from Canadian embassy. That will allow the baby to come to canada after which you can apply for citizenship certificate and regular canadian passport for the baby. I am not sure on the exact steps but should be pretty easy to figure out.

Thanks for this useful video! If you don't have any children, where exactly on the online form (5406 Part B) are you supposed to write "Not Applicable"? In the "relationship" box? The "full name" box? All of them? (you can't write "Not Applicable" in the "date of birth" box because it is too many characters). I saw Zeeshan Shaikh's comment about writing "not applicable" and having their application returned. I know it says in bold to write "Not Applicable" but I feel like it would make sense to leave "child 1" blank if I don't have any children. Suyash did you write "Not Applicable" on part B of form 5406 and if so, where did you write it?

I have watched your videos for online permanent residence portals and they are very helpful. I am still confused about the representative portal. If the application is going to be completed by the representative, does the principal applicant still have to create his or her portal as well?
Great Job on explaining the form as always I have a scenario. I have a sister 40 yrs married living with her family in India, while my father fills this form does he need to submit a separate digital copy for her also - same as he is doing for my mom? Like by clicking on “on behalf of any of your family members…” Or Just provide my sister’s info as a child over 18 in his and my mom’s form
Hello Suyash so both I'm sponsoring my mother ( principal applicant)... I can still fill out all forms on behalf of her right and all forms as to be submitted in one portal?
Hi Suyash...Did you fill out the spousal information in this form?..... I didn't include spousal information bcs the instructions were little misleading and your earlier video also helped to keep the section "Not applicable".... Do you think they will return the application?
Hi Vishnu! I really cant say yet if this will lead to rejection. i did not fill out the spouse section the first time because i too was mislead by the instructions.(or i should say i misunderstood them) But, if you have seen my timeline video, my application got rejected for missing signatures on 1344. there was no mention of 5406 in the rejection letter i recd Possible fix - I would suggest raising a webform and informing them about the change. Can't really speak for the efficacy of the webform but worth putting it out there. Hopefully, this is not seen as a big issue as all your info is already provided in 1344, so my hope and prayer is, IRCC lets this go by. Keep me posted on any developments

Hi @HitSubmitCanada, I hope you are doing good. I have a question. Bit confused. i hope you can help. I am currently in Canada with my wife. I have applied for PR along with my wife and received ITA too. Recently, I got an update from IRCC requesting to complete IMM-5406 form for me and my Wife - Like a separate form for both. Now, My Question is ,do me and my wife need a fill the form keeping each of us as primary applicant (like individually) and then fill the form for each of us ( selecting dependent)?. Or we both filling the form as primary applicant separately will work? - like just filling as primary applicant and submit. Request you to help.
This form is really confusing. Currently, we have received Ita and we are 2 months pregnant. We just have to add the baby that will be born in 7 months. How can we just add that new child?
@@mohamadasgari6449 I mean it depends on your choice. You can write information about upcoming baby in the form or you can wait till the baby is born and complete it. But there is another form that asks for evidence for your relationship and if you and your wife have a baby then you must include its birth certificate . And birth certificate is absolutely a solid evidence, that’s why I wait till the baby is born to complete my application. In that way, I can upload my baby’s birth certificate.
Thanks for wonderful work....I tried filling out the form for myself online but not getting option for digital signature. It has only 3 section A,B,C not the D section for signature. Please advise how to sign. Thanks
Hi Suyash, My father is deceased and only sponsoring my Mother (principal applicant), do I have to fill the siblings/parents/spouse/children of father's information?

Hi the new update IMM4506 form feb2023 is not validating and not errors any idea why is not working
Correct. Your husband can simply provide information about his parents and siblings in the corresponding sections in his own copy of the form.
@@HitSubmitCanada Thank you for your response!
Hi. I'm the Principal applicant. Do i need to fill out just a single form mentioning details about my parents and sibling? I use the old portal, downloaded the EDITABLE PDF. I do not have access to the one you are showing in your video.
hi, i love your video. very detailed. please keep it up. my girlfriend is trying to sponsor her daughter who is 10 years old to Canada. so who is the principal applicant to fill out this form? my girlfriend or her daughter. please note my girlfriend is a PR holder living in Canada while her daughter is in Nigeria. i look forward to your response. thanks
the daughter(person being sponsored) is the principal applicant. Since your GF is already a PR, she cannot be an applicant. She is just a sponsor
BHAI PLEASE DO UPDATE THERE IS NEW UPDATE ON THIS FORM THEY REMOVE SPOUSE SECTION AND FOR PA THEY CREATED PROFILE WHERE U PUNCH ALL WIFE INFO WHICH WILL AUTO FILLL IN ENGLISH WITHOUT HINDI SCRIPT BUT FOR PARENTS AND SIBLING STILL NEED TO PROVIDE HINDI SCRIPT.
Have you got answer to this, Iam facing the same issue
@@veerpalkaurvirk9538 yes I figured out and my wife got all approved she's here now in Canada
Hello, good day. Would you know if I have to update my sister's address in family information? Do I have to webform another imm form again?
Hi Suyash, I have some questions:
@@HitSubmitCanada Okay. I will surely do. Thanks for your reply 😊
My dad has divorced daughter she is not financially dependent on him. Does need to add her details?
I am not sure on the exact steps but should be pretty easy to figure out.
amazing amazing
Hello Suyesh, Can you please help me in getting an additional sheet for this form? I don't know how to attacg a separate sheet for it, as I have to add information about my 5 siblings in the section C and there is a place for only 3.
I am not married ..what I need to fill sir ?
Would you include the sponsor's children from her previous marriage as the principal applicant's step children?
Hi Suyash, My question is. Why if you have a sibling’s. Do they need to fill up the form. They are married and not dependent anymore to my mom. I’m sponsoring my mom. Thanks
Thanks for the video. I have one question what should I do if I translate my full name to my native language it exceeds the character length.
then you can only write in English in the form and then attach a separate word document with the full name in native script
Wouldn't you mind telling me what if a person is single and does not have any children! do they still need to fill this form? if YES please give me YOUR answer on this matter thank you
hello
I am unable to write names in my native language on pdf version of IMM5406 form. Because I was asked by ircc to provide pdf version of form after signing and dating it by hand. Any solution to this. My native language is Punjabi.
regards
Just hand write them in native language next to the english names
What if you have no family members 18 years and older since it says that this section is mandatory? I already declared my 4 year old American daughter as a dependant. But her mother and I are no longer together. Will I still have to fill it out?
Hey Suyash, there’s been a problem in providing information about your child and trying to save and continue.
That section is not applicable for me but it wont let me save and continue!!
gracias amigo!
Hi,
I have a question, my pr application is returned and its says my IMM 5406 form - additional family information is incomplete and mentioned in mail that " Each individual must complete and sign their own form". After watching your video i just saw that Im missing names in native language and full address with door no. Is not provided. And i mentioned my details, my husband, my 2 sisters one of which is married, my mother and my deceased father, but im not understanding why they have mentioned this " Each individual must complete and sign their own form" and its Inland application......Please help with the answer as soon as possible. Thank you.
Hi Suyash, great video. Though i have a small doubt if you can help clarify. I have a child from my previous marriage who was declared non accompanying during my express entry profile. I have my PR since a year. Now that i am re married and applying for Spousal visa, will my current spouse have to declare my child from first marriage as a Step Child ?
Yes, as you may have seen in the children section instructions, "step children" need to be mentioned
Hi! Thank you for your videos. I have a question. I am sponsoring of my parents. Unfortunately my dad passed away. Since my mom is the principal (as my dad is death), does she needs to fill out an additional 5406e on behalf my death dad
No she doesn’t. She can just mention the information in the spouse section of her 5406
What if the children are Canadian citizens do we still need to include them in the above format?
Include them Yes, under children section in the PA's form. But don't add another separate 5406 for them.
Hi, I cant fill my name in English and native language. It says the maximum character length is 63. What shall I do
Hi Suyash. May I ask if do I need to specify my step brother and write "step brother" or just simply "brother"?
Does the PA's brother who is over age of 18 and is a PR here in Canada need to create his own version of this form? This form is very confusing.
Hi Suyash, Do we need to fill mother and father's email IDs as well? What if they do not use an email account?
Thanks for this useful video! If you don't have any children, where exactly on the online form (5406 Part B) are you supposed to write "Not Applicable"? In the "relationship" box? The "full name" box? All of them? (you can't write "Not Applicable" in the "date of birth" box because it is too many characters). I saw Zeeshan Shaikh's comment about writing "not applicable" and having their application returned. I know it says in bold to write "Not Applicable" but I feel like it would make sense to leave "child 1" blank if I don't have any children. Suyash did you write "Not Applicable" on part B of form 5406 and if so, where did you write it?
for sections that didn't apply, i wrote Not applicable in the relationship box. worked just fine for me.
In Updated form there is no deceased or not applicable option in marital status of parent. What should I select please let me know. Widowed, married, unknown, separeted is available in the option
There is. It should be there. i just checked. “Not Applicable - Deceased”
Hey Suyash, I have applied under PGP for my MOM as PA. My DAD is deceased. Does my mom (as PA) still need to fill a separate 5406 form (as adding new family member) for my DAD (who is deceased)?
I am not getting option to add my Spouse name in IMM 5406. Earlier it was as they have updated the portal and add my profile section and if we add details in my profile it shows my wife name in dependent!! Please guide on this matter
The signature on this document should be the same as on the passport or different signature could be accepted?
I am filling IMM008 online and it is asking for national ID and PAN, Voter card and Aadhar card all ID's do not have expiry date and without entering expiry date, it is not allowing me to save and continue. Please help
Hi Suyash,
I have accidentally filled the copy of IMM 5406 and I don’t have any kids. Now It doesn’t allow me to delete the form. Do u know how to delete it or do I have to create a new PR portal ?
Thank you so much for your help 🙏🏻
I have watched your videos for online permanent residence portals and they are very helpful. I am still confused about the representative portal. If the application is going to be completed by the representative, does the principal applicant still have to create his or her portal as well?
Not really for submission if the paid representative is handling it.
Great Job on explaining the form as always I have a scenario. I have a sister 40 yrs married living with her family in India, while my father fills this form does he need to submit a separate digital copy for her also - same as he is doing for my mom? Like by clicking on “on behalf of any of your family members…”
Or
Just provide my sister’s info as a child over 18 in his and my mom’s form
Where to do consent/Digital signature In this form, there is no option at the end of the form to do consent/signature? Anyone has idea about that?
grt video
Hi
I couldn’t find how to add sign on this could you please help me
Hello Suyash so both I'm sponsoring my mother ( principal applicant)...
Hi Vishnu! I really cant say yet if this will lead to rejection. i did not fill out the spouse section the first time because i too was mislead by the instructions.(or i should say i misunderstood them)
But, if you have seen my timeline video, my application got rejected for missing signatures on 1344. there was no mention of 5406 in the rejection letter i recd
Possible fix - I would suggest raising a webform and informing them about the change. Can't really speak for the efficacy of the webform but worth putting it out there. Hopefully, this is not seen as a big issue as all your info is already provided in 1344, so my hope and prayer is, IRCC lets this go by. Keep me posted on any developments
Hi Suyash, does this information also apply to the IMM5562 - Travel information form? Do I need to enter my information under spouse section in my wife’s application?
@@RomalPatel2 Yes it does apply....I have seen similar instructions on that form as well.... If you have already submitted the application, just wait for them to get back... That's the best we could do right now
@Vishnu Sukumaran Im in the same boat as you. I hope when they get back to us they also tell us where and how to resent them the form imm5406, since we applied online and theres no option to go and re-upload stuff. But lets pray it doesnt get rejected as Sayush mentioned Spousal info is provided on imm1344. 🤞🏼
I didn't get it add family do I must add every familiar? like my father, siblings etc? or it just adding my common-low partner and I?
my lawyer had done a blunder in our application he write my child name wrong in imm5406 forum but in other forums he wrote right name and passport photo is also right pls suggest me what can i do i am very tensed right now will my application be rejected what should i do
Form 5406 will not allow me to type the farsi/arabic name at the full name section. It is locked. Even if i try to change it in the profile it wont allow me. i believe they have updated the website. is it alright if i do not add that?
Yes correct. they should be deploying a fix soon for that. For now, You can simply provide the applicant's native name in a separate document and upload as "5406 supporting document" under "other"
Hi @HitSubmitCanada,
I hope you are doing good.
This happened to me too because I was pregnant when I filled this. I ended up giving birth to my daughter then finished this form 😂
@@kristinle7662 Can I ask, did this addition caused your application abnormal delays? I mean the process of adding your newborn
Thanks
There is NO option for digital signature in this form. just complete each section and that's it.
Hi Suyash, My father is deceased and only sponsoring my Mother (principal applicant), do I have to fill the siblings/parents/spouse/children of father's information?
Hi,
I am sponsoring my grandmother who is a widow now. She had two sons one of which is no more(my father) and one other who lives in India and has a family. He is 63 years old. Will I need to add him as her family member? What about her husband and the son who are no more?
