Great, if "dark", vlog Lou :) If "Maserati Muppet" suddenly pulls out on one of these "All the gear" Speed Fests....... You & Rob, have a great day ☀️ 🐻
I grew up in LA, I live 2 miles from Griffith Park and ride there all the time and you shared a more history than even I knew! Good on you. Thank you so much :-) enjoying your channel.. subscribing.
I just got home from a Sunday morning ride through Griffith Park, to find that you just posted your ride! Mine was a morning ride, and very foggy (that was fog you saw, not smog), but most of Mt. Hollywood Dr was in the sunshine above the fog. It's a wonderful place!
Great video as always and the sunrise and sunset looked beautiful. Looking at the weather forecast tomorrow maybe my last ride of the year which has got me thinking about next year. I’m in the Project 400 group on Strava but am still trying to decide what I want to do to get there. Do you have any plans for your cycling for next year that you can share?
I need to look into this 400 challenge… No I don’t have any major plans for next year outside of heading to the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift again. I must make some plans though, this is a nice little training block I’m getting done which stops my fitness dipping too much over the winter and it’s always great to have stuff to train for! ❤️
I have lived in LA most of my life and have never seen the parts of the park you mentioned. I guess I just ride in different areas of LA. Palos Verdes mostly. Nice hills...... when they're not falling down. 🙄 Love your videos. Keep them coming. 😀😀😀
I would definitely say give Glendora Mountain Road (GMR) a ride. It's one of the holy grails of rides to ride up to the ski lifts if you're feeling a bit spicy. But the first 20 miles to the village is a good ride. Plus you can have lunch and coffee there and, like I said if you're feeling good continue on up to the ski lifts tackling the steep switchbacks. This portion of the ride was part of the Tour de California race. It's incredibly steep! You can UA-cam and find out more information about it. Good luck! Also you can try your luck on Fargo and Baxter Street in LA. They are to the steepest streets this side of the Mississippi. They're short but they hit a crazy grade of 32/33%. Worth a try. There used to be a race there put on by the willman cycling club which is now stopped. The idea is to see how many times you could make up Fargo Street within a 10-hour period Once again you can UA-cam and find information on it. Have fun!
Cool ride and indeed a bit creepy in places. But I have to say that the haze you are seeing is probably not actually “smog”. If it were it would be more brown and you’d be coughing up a lung after a good ride. I continue to be amazed how much better the air quality is in LA today than when I lived there in the 80s. Our coach would make us work out in a smog alert and we’d spend the rest of the night trying not to cough to the point of vomiting. 🤮 😢. We became experts in color evaluation between shades of brown (pollution smog) and grey (coastal air moisture in the valley).
Hello Lou, Wishing you & Rob, Marley a Healthy ,Happy, Safe New Year . 2025 ride suggestion: take Colorado Blvd East towards Pasadena for a ride around the Rose Bowl { 3.1 Mile loop}.Before you cross the Colorado St. Bridge [ Suicide Bridge ] hang a left on Arroyo down to the bowl. Nice neighborhood and many restaurants near by in Old Town.
Yeah the old zoo is cool! On the murder house, I think even if you're not spooked at all by the place's history, you'd probably get annoyed with tourists coming to look at the house!

LOVE THIS!!! Thank you so much, glad you’re enjoying it! Any other recommendations for me on where to ride? 💖

I’m just back from another ride there, loving it!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

A lot of spooky stuff around there, that's for sure. And it's not even pumpkin day.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
Really enjoy your videos.
Stay well.
Cheers 🌞🚴♀️🖖
I am going to give the 400 challenge a go, too.
Thanks so much for the lovely comment. Happy New Year to you too! I need to look up the 400 challenge, I’m seeing a few people mention it!
@MyLouTube it is from Jimmie over on Cade Media. The goal is to cycle 400 hours over the year in 2025. Piece of cake for you.😊🚴♀️
Beware there were bears, always nice to know be about the area's history.

Wow that sounds crazy! Must have been pretty fun living here in the 80s!
Nice video champ

That sounds like a brilliant loop, sadly I’ve run out of time but will check this out on a future visit for sure! Thank you 💖
The abandoned zoo looks cool. The empty murder house might be on clearance 🤔 murder house or not that's a big place.

There is a bike engineer on UA-cam named Hambini who screams "HELLO!" at the beginning of each video. Your UA-cam intro is the opposite. 🙂
Just looked him up hahahaha that’s quite the intro isn’t it? 🤣🤣🤣
Why are cyclists showing themselves so much instead of the ride?!
Not all cyclists? 🤪
