There's 3 versions of Savage Green Hulk that have appeared in live-action: 1970s Hulk, 2003 Hulk, and 2008 - 2018 Hulk. Then there's Abomination, The Freak, She-Hulk, Hulk King, Skarr, The Freak, and Red Hulk.
How is the Hulk from 2003 not on here? It's the only modern Hulk movie where he grew in size and strength as he became more pissed off. He was a BEAST towards the end. They watered him down with each movie after that to make him more "balanced" leading into Avengers.
Smart Hulk is a natural part of Hulk's personality transformations and has happened many times since his first appearance in the early 80s. I'm sure Savage Hulk will be back again, just like in the comics. Hopefully for a World War Hulk-type film.

Given how weak smart hulk was depicted, when angry hulk was knocking those big flying Dinosaur looking things outta the sky with his fists, fighting god killing wolves mano a mano, and whooping eternal flame empowered Surtur in melee combat, i don't really put a lot of importance on how he is shown in the She hulk series. If she went too far, and Bruce had to engage in familial Discipline, i figure he'd go New york/Ragnarok on She hulk's ass and she'd get put into the pavement in .5 seconds.
I must say, I’m actually quite looking forward to CABNW, I think this will be a great movie, I want to go back to that serious tone which kind of has been missing lately in the newer films and tv series. I like that we might see an actual avengers level threat again soon as well. Can’t wait to see Spuderman and new cap work together too.

I don't care for Ed as much-- he doesn't bring up memories of when Hulk first started looking amazing in the comics-- the Bronze age. I'm older, so I don't expect it to be a popular view... but I always respect the works that truly looked finished and sounded grand for the first time, after better science was more involved and the drawings suddenly became so lush and muscular as hell... around 70's/80's. Yeah yeah more and more followed after the 80's, but they went from a clunky look in the 50's 60's to a much more realistic look afterwards. That Banner AND Hulk look better to me than the grainy Hulk of Norton's, and Ed just looks too weasel-like for Banner. Yes Banner is supposed to be a brain and not a stud, but at least in the comics he has a jaw, not like Norton who has that narrow icy look. His acting can be very good -- a bit overrated because of some of his other work-- I find he isn't the chameleon that some truly great actors are. Gary Oldman comes to mind. But Ed Can be good, just not great as Banner for me. Mark looks and acts much more like what the classic comics sent to my brain for decades. More brooding and dark, quieter. Not almost sickly and showing so much surprise in the eyes and every thought on the face like Ed does.
