I got it for my full locking LSD on my 07 G35S sedan, sliding with More control, and the front end feels stiffer by a lot. I didn’t feel much at all normal driving or curves but when peeling away after fishtailing out a turn it’s way stiffer feeling
Robb Hoffheins This one got a little too talkie I agree. Trying to give people with little to no experience some useful information. As things come together now there will be a lot more showing/doing and hopefully a lot less talking lol. Thanks for the feedback!
Not really. The functionality of these is limited anyway because the brace is bolted to each bracket rather than being welded, which is a potential pivot point. That will become an issue far earlier than only 2 bolts for anchor points.
@@SpeedCultureStudios The reason is the shape of the brackets on the newer 3 point megan racing structs for the g37. They align the bar easier. In your video it looks like the bar is uneven. The new 3 point brackets also have adjustment points for the bar so you can make the bar level.
@@DoomFinger511 that’s a complaint about the Megan bar is that they are not even. But my point is that one is not better than the other in terms of function, because they are not true strut tower braces. When the bar itself is bolted to the mounting brackets rather than welded, a great deal of functionality/rigidity is lost because the bolt is a pivot point. So when the chassis twists, there is potential movement in that bolt point. So sure the 3 point bracket might make the bar look better, but it doesn’t help with function. That’s all I was saying
@@SpeedCultureStudios Sure that makes sense that welding would be better then bolting. I wonder if it would be worth getting a 3 bolt mounting brace but then welding it to the frame instead of just bolting it?
I would recommend to not buy megan racing strut bars, the quality control is really poor. I just got one for a different type vehicle and the brackets weren't even welded on fully. Spend the extra money on something better.
There aren’t many options for the Q50 and the others are no better honestly. They all have pivot points which sort of defeats the purpose of a strut bar.
Ur videos are great. I have a Infiniti QX50 that I bought with 2200 miles. Would any of these mods like the strut brace fit? Some of the body and mechanics of the q50 is similar. I did add the intake hoses which was a pain in the ass to install. Just like u I had to take some items a part just to fit the tubes in. Thx
Your videos are always informative, love them ! Just a tip i noticed your braces are bolted on unevenly which is probably why the strut is not lining up
Just an added note, I would say you also benefit when say you're driving out of an uneven driveway, where your car necessarily is going over an uneven surface. Hence, the body wants to bend diagonally, thus the top braces front and rear will help hold the chassis, or body, evenly. So you have yet another reason to have them, they help keep your car's chassis stiffer longer.
@@SpeedCultureStudios it has a noise and knocking sound which is very annoying, I've talked to the dealer regarding this mater and they said they need to replace the whole steering system with a new one :(
Quick question, do you think I would be able to install the tein lowering springs w/o rubbing? My specs are 20x10.5 35 offset 275 tire in the rear 20x9 in the front 30 offset 255 tire in front
It might be close. The front will be fine for sure. It’s hard to say about the rear though. I’m at 19x9.5 +35 with a 275/35 tire and it’s damn near flush.
It touches the hood insulation only slightly-not really leaving any evidence of rubbing anywhere though. It’s more rigid than the Cusco and I preferred the silver over the red of the tanabe, but I think they are relatively comparable.
sk8punk318 what? I’m not mad. Removed the badge. Problem solved. There are only a couple of options out there for strut bars and I tanabe is junk. There literally aren’t any better ones out there. I’m not mad.
Why soo much talking???? we alllll know what a strut tower brace is and we alllllll know what it does... Just put it onnn and make a review.... Point blank ohh my god...
tyr180 plus Appreciate your input but the fact is you’d be surprised how many people DONT know what it is and DONT know it’s purpose. Do you have an install vid?
I think there is one in the playlist
"Quick video"
20 mins later...
Well...when you start getting into details. Too many installation videos don’t show all the steps.
Was it worth it tho ?

You should of gotten the braces that attach to 3 bolt points, not 2. They work much better.

I’m not sure if measurements for the qx50. U suppose you could measure from strut tower to strut tower and we can compare.

There is only one way to bolt the braces. They don’t fit any other way. I tried!

Yeah I have to return my Megan struck bar because they will not mount up because of the takita intakes
Yep intakes make it difficult/impossible to have a strut bar
How much was it..?
$$$$$
Like $85 or something like that.
Great informative video!
Arvind Swatch I appreciate that and glad you thought so! Thanks for taking a look!
I actually bought the exact one, but it wouldn’t fit because of my aftermarket intake pipes. Any tips?
I don’t have any tips. I don’t think they work with intakes.
Yeah, get a different one
Hey bro would you recommend strut bar make a difference for daily driving.
No difference in daily driving and you won’t “feel” it even racing around corners. Looks good tho lol. Also won’t fit if you get/have intakes.
Speed Culture Studios thanks
Apparently this guy wasn't watching the video 😂
?is your car steer by wire
No. That is why I specifically chose the base model.

Does it affect the front end alignment? Does it need to be loosened or removed when doing a wheel alignment?
No, it has nothing to do with alignment.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Does it rub against the hood? How does it compare to the Tanabe and Cusco?
It touches the hood insulation only slightly-not really leaving any evidence of rubbing anywhere though.

Looks like it’s not installed properly
There’s only one way to install it.
I think you definitely installed the mounts on the wrong sides, which explains the off-centered badge and the rubbing on your intake
It doesn’t rub the intake. It just touches it. The mounts only install one way and besides that they are labeled driver and passenger lol.
There are definitely better ones out there.
Not really...
