Hi Donna, I miss you guys -- I got a job - YEA. But, now I work 12 hours a day - 6 days a week. So, I'm exhausted all the time. All I do is sleep and eat. Anyway, I'm awake and first thing I'm doing is checking out all the videos I missed. May God bless you and your family; and have a wonderful Christmas.
I love the fabric choices and chuckled with your skiing experience. I grew up skiing. Started when I started walking but can understand your point because I taught people. Adults were a little harder than the younger generation. Thanks for the wonderful video.
No problem at all, Betty! We also have a video coming out next week that will talk about partial strip assemblies, so keep an eye out for that as it might prove to be helpful as well. Good luck with your quilt! 💙🧵
Beautiful quilts! As a beginner, no it will never get done in time, but, it can be ready for next year! Donna, I took ski lessons all day, finally got on the lift and got all tangled up with someone who got off before us and didn’t move, I had to come the mountain via ski patrol as my knee was twisted up! 🤦🏻♀️No more skiing, but I love the snow! 😊
Oh my goodness! I just finished a Brick Street quilt top last night with a cute boy and girl, plus a dog. I just realized I forgot a border. Lol! It's still ADORABLE! As soon as I get a good picture of it I'll post it on Instagram and tag Fabric Cafe.
Love the Christmas Fabric 💞💞 Donna. You have a good day. I have a question about how to make a nutcracker lap quilt for my baby girl loves the nutcracker fabric I have. . But the problem I have she wants all nutcracker fabric. . So what can I do to fix it. .I tack all of my Quilts. That was the way I was tought in making Quilts.
That can be done. Just group your nutcracker fabric into light, medium and dark. Check out the video on how to to do. We give you a link with this video. Then Place your fabic in the one, two or three spot as I show. Donna
Hello Donna: 10 printed books? (1)Easy Does It, (2)Easy Peasy, (3)Fast And Fun, (4)Modern Views, (5)Pretty Darn Quick, (6)Quick and Easy, (7)Quick As A Wink, (8)Quilts In A Jiffy, (9)Quilts On The Double. What is the 10th printed book?
Good catch! We have 9, 3 yard quilt books in print plus one Fat Quarter Fun book. I guess made it sound like we had 10, 3-yard quilt books. Thanks for catching that! Donna
Our books give you the instructions for enlargements. You can make a lap quilt with one kit, a Twin with 2 kits and a Q/K with four kits. And if you buy 3 kits, you can request a free book of your choice instead of the individual patterns. Donna
The average size of one of the quilts I show is 44 x 60. This varies according to the way I use the 3, one-yard cuts of fabric. The individual patterns give instructions for a lap size, as shown. The books expand the instructions to make a lap, Twin or a Queen-King size. All patterns on our web site give you the measurement in the description. Thanks for watching! Donna
I have one more question for you Donna what do you mean when you say partial assembly and kind of confused by it I read it over and over again try to look at the diagram you know on the other page and I'm just can't wrap my head around it is there a way that you can explain it to me so I understand it better thank you so much and God bless
@@bettyvanette1580 Hi Betty, Happy to help. A strip assemble is usually the width of the fabric (about 42" after selvage is removed) a partial strip assembly is when we don't need the total width of 42" to complete the project. So I give you the measurement for a part or partial amount of the strip. Donna
Hey I am making the In a flash for king size I have the quilt at 9 squares across and 9 down I get confused on patterns can you help me to know how many more I need to add before I do the border
Love the video and. Choice of colors

And if you only have one focus fabric, use snowballs and sashing to make it special. No rules to make the quilt you want to sew.

Love the kitty fabric, what line is that?
Isn't it adorable? It is a Benartex line called Mini Playful Cats - Cat-i-tude Christmas. Hope that helps!

What is the third fabric in Kitty Christmas?
Hi Jennifer, I believe it was a Benartex from their Cat-i-tude Christmas line. Hope that helps!
