How to make Summer Berry Kompot - Homemade Fruit Drink at home. Kompot (or stewed fruit) is a traditional Russian dessert beverage that combines an assortment of fruits with rich, thick syrup. The base of kompot is, of course, the fruit. Kompot is a wonderful soft drink all year round - refreshingly cool in summer or invitingly hot in mid-winter. Among the numerous recipes one may find some that use dried fruit, while others advise berries and still others call for preserved summer fruits. Kompot is extremely easy to make at home and home cooks can create unique versions with special fruits to taste. This recipe is super fresh and summery, I am using all the berries in this season.

This brought back a childhood memory: having kompot at my grandmother's house in the summer when I was 4! I had forgotten about it completely but your video made me remember it all! Thank you Alla for the good recipe and keep making more 😄

This comment is historically inaccurate because in the ussr? They only had pepsi-cola....also to this day they don't have peanut butter either. Living off of nutella only is barbaric and unamerican.

You can make kompot out of peaches, sour cherries, plums and put it in fridge and drink and eat it during hot summer days.

When I visited Ozurgeti & Mestia Georgia they had Kompot made from Barberries. One thing I miss when I was in Georgia was the fruits were very cheap and better tasting than back home in America. The mandarins, pomegranates, berries, and even figs taste way better than all this pesticide & GMO infested trash we have here.
