You help. Me understand reading the notes and actually be able to sing and play along. Thanks for the easy and slow pace. Looking forward to your other tutorials!
Ty soooo much JJ, I just recieved a ukulele for Christmas and have learned 1 song, you are my sunshine. I sing for seniors, this song is very popular. Yours was the easiest and most concise video I found for this song. Well paced, and clear, you're a great teacher, I cant wait to learn more with you. ❤🇨🇦
Yay much mahalo for learning here! I am glad this song was the easiest that you were able to find! Much mahalo for the kind words too! Hope you can learn more songs here!
@@JJMilare I'd love an intermediate/harder tutorial video with Amazing grace, played a speed one might use when performing. The sing/play along learning style is a great way to learn and fun. All those words were well deserved, Cheers !
@@JJMilare don't get me wrong those really easy beginner lessons are the perfect speed. You have it really well divided up so that people can just stop and practice and catch up till they're ready for the most part. I just think it would be nice to have a little more finished of a version after the easy version that people can workout to. Happy ukulele-ing
You just kill me in a funny way that is. You really have a beautiful voice and I love how you play super slow so us newbies can actually keep up with you. I'll be back!!!
😁. Much mahalo for that compliment! I try to sing haha. And yes hopefully you come back for more lessons! I try to keep it slow! But if ever I go to fast there is a speed adjustment option on UA-cam videos to slow it down! :)
Much mahalo! I’m so glad to hear that it was clear! Gives me joy your appreciation of it being the “best” tutorial you have found on this song! It is such a beautiful song indeed!

@@fannyowela4626 hi! Yes I can try to figure out an easy tutorial for that song! It may take me some time tho because I’m just catching up. But I will let you know! I wrote it down in my to do’s list :)

The ukulele master has done it again! And what a voice! Keep 'em coming, JJ, you got the juice! I will take this lesson very soon (but will probably not sing - LOL).
marco alisla hi! I’m not sure I understood everything you said but I believe you say it sounds good? Thank u so much! How long have you been playing ukulele?
Much mahalo! I am playing a Pono ukulele made by Ko’olau guitar company. They make Pono and Ko’olau ukuleles. If you watch @hawaiimusicsupply on UA-cam or @theukulelesite on Instagram they are affiliated with them and show them on their videos too!
Aloha! It's a Pono ukulele. Made here in Oahu. The parent company is Ko'olau Guitar Company. I got this ukulele 10+ years ago and it sounds so beautiful. They have beautiful ukuleles! Also they run the channel @HawaiiMusicSupply
Most tutorials leave me confused in the count and how many strums and pauses...when you play it sounds like you strum more than 3 beats to get to the next word. The comments everywhere are how great people could play with any of the tutorials. It is frustrating to have so much trouble. I've been at this 4 months and I know several chords but the switches are choppy. I practice a half hour and more every day. What is wrong? YOUR tutorial is amazing (no pun intended) BTW. Any help is welcome.
Oh no I hope I didn’t confuse you. In which places does it sound more than 3 beats? Also what I try to do is put the chord on top of the word when you’re supposed to change the chord. And also for added measure the slashes “/“ help with the count. So one “/“ equals “D-D-DU” and two “//“ equals “D-D-DU D-D-DU”. Let me know if that helps and at which parts of the songs you hear more than a 3 beat part pattern
@@JJMilare I thought that each slash mark was one count. You’re saying 1 slash is 4 strums or beats, right? I think I lose track of the DU being 1and, counting it 1- 2
@@2011hib ah ok! So for me, I use the slashes as a set of the strum. So one slash / means one set of D-D-DU. So I don’t necessarily use it for counting or beats but to know how many sets of the strum I do. I also been getting notification you have been commenting some other videos but then when I click it it doesn’t come up. I can’t seem to find and respond to those. 😩 sorry!
