  • The SANSOM project for safe anaesthesia for Somaliland was born out of the collaboration of five international partners. Nurse anaesthetists trained by Clinical Professor Mark Newton from Kijabe Hospital in Kenya met together for a conference at the Edna Adan Hospital in Hargeisa. This site was central to the success of the project, a factor recognised by all concerned. With funding from Australia's DAK Foundation and the UK's Safe Anaesthesia Worldwide charity, Diamedica UK Ltd also played a key role supplying much-needed medical equipment and training.

Thank you SANSOM and Edna Hospital for making this happen.
I wish the UK video editing team had a Sawahili translator to help write some of the subtitles.
Again thank you very very much ;)

Thanks to 🇬🇧 UK people but UK 🇬🇧 government have to recognise Somaliland first as sovereign country instead mixing it up to Somalia with Somaliland.

I am sure you are right, Abdirahman... We worked outside the political arena with people who care about delivering high quality medical care. We have nothing to do with the UK government, nor do we have influence on its policy towards Somaliland, unfortunately.
