Interesting content. One thing I definitely agree with Ryan on is the importance of google product pages, both currently and for the future. Google is turning itself into an amazon style product search tool that links directly to the product page on the seller site. It's annoying as a user who wants to find things the old way, but they are driving huge sales.
Even if you aren't wanting to sell comics online, your potential customers want to know what products you have, before making the trek down to your brick and mortar. A site and social media apps help ground you as legitimate, and help give people an idea on what you are about.
