First signature I ever got on a comic was when we first moved up here and Sinnott was signing at the civic center. Seems like a “mega” score for books in my opinion .
Hmmm - not bad - I like the books you saved - when you do these I like to see what you pull out - as far as the bulk good to hear you have a guy for that
Wow I don’t think that guy had no idea what he had! It’s incredulous to think he claimed to have no time to through the bins. That’s part of the business. Certainly you had no problem going through it. That fully explains the low sales in back issues. This is why I feel some LSC struggle because people get into it not knowing how much effort and time it takes. Good for you Gary, you have a relentless work ethic. 👍
Great video, Gary! A lot of great books in there. A good mix of direct and newstand copies. Is that Secret Wars 1 a blue Galactus error version. I knew about them through some other videos on UA-cam and went through my copy the other day, and was glad that is was the error print. Thanks for sharing the books with us and your process!
I guess a term you could use from sports cards, instead of “junk,” maybe refer to them as “commons.” Basically, books that fill runs, but have no key significance what so ever.
How does the uk price variants do in the states as me personally as a brit I don't mind them I have a few a couple graded but I know a few collectors who don't like them
In 1982 I bought the store stock of a store got my out of business...~ 38,000 comics, 95% Marvel/DC superhero from basically 1965-1982 with multiple copies from that age run on the major titles. I was a young guy a year and half out of college and took a gamble to vastly improve collection and for trade stock
Moved 15,000 in bulk within two weeks as already had a friend lined up that knew would want for flea market business. I paid about what you did for this huge collection and had fun over years with it...hard work organizing...
So you are basically looking to double your money. Great video. I have some of those books in my PC. Hopefully you will consider buying my collection some day soon. Let me know where to send you an email please.
So true Gary.
There is soooooo much work to process large inventories
as we have a million A-Z plus 2-3 million in our unprocessed warehouse.
If those were back issues, I would’ve loved to seen the wall books
I love that first Rogue. Seems like a win win for you and the shop
The conversation leading up to the books gave a good indication of the massive amount of time and work involved. Very enjoyable video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I much prefer watching you go through all the
Boxes!
A lot of people do
Thanks for this video, Gary. Awesome keys!!!!
Some great books there, Gary!

What bravado to take on such a task. Best of luck with moving the acquired inventory.
Not a terrible price, but a lot of work!
That Deathlok is also the first George Perez
Thanks for everything you do G. I found Archie 511 yesterday for $1, they’re selling for $300+
I found that for $1 once too! 😄 it was a mid grade but still got like $60 for it

Good luck with selling those books, VGC!

Its s good day when you get the opportunity to buy bulk comics with some gems in there for a good price!
First Death Lock First Perez at Marvel. Crazy under rated book.
That Astonishing Tales has extremely early George Perez artwork...
His 1st work at Marvel
"Junk/ Dreck" I'd say 'awesome readers!! Reserve space on the lounge chair and pour me a beverage!!!!!!
I have a beat up book with a Werewolf by Night #12 cover and the interior book is Defenders #11.
Gary heard new pearl jam lps out.
You mentioned the store was from a more rural area. Seems it might be possible to find more newstand copies in such areas?
It's definitely possible
Wow. That Spider-woman/Star Wars book. Truly sui generis.
Great content
Thank you
Gotta love all those newsies.
As a kid I excitedly bought Teen Titans 3 at store and somehow didnt open it until I got home. It was a Fantastic Four issue….and not a good one.
They might switch your books😅😅😅😅
Slabbing a Spiderwoman comic with Star Wars interior pages defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?
True. But there are collectors who like that green label for errors
What does your bulk guy do with the bulk?
He donates it I believe
Link to Ebay store please.

🔥💙🔥
Any Star Wars ?
Was it Broke Comics ?
I'm interested in Eightball
I'd say with near certainty it's a certain shop, in a certain town called Rhinebeck.
Wait, this is not your full time job?
Nope.
I know, I can’t believe that either 😂

The reasoning is all semantics, but I wish them luck with their "new" direction.
You never remember what you buy for LOL
I'm terrible at that. But I do record these videos a while after I buy the collections
Sorry dude, but you over paid.
That's why I put it out there. Sometimes I feel like I've overpaid too
@VeryGaryComics you basically did him a favor for taking all his dreck of his hands. I would've offered him 1K tops.
Great watch as always! Sweet books!
