Okay so @ 0:34 When he starts from Kazuya Mishima all the way to Kazumi, he says their names in an order and tone as if he’s listing off all the Mishimas, listen to how he says “Mishima” after Kzumi

I know it’s unlikely but I hope the announcer says, “Welcome to the King of Iron Fist Tournament Ultimate” in Smash it would be awesome. Or if you Choose KAZUYA and when it shows him he says, “GET READY FOR THE NEXT BATTLE” or when it counts down he’ll say “Final Round FIGHT.”

Josh passed away last year... his wonderful daughter was only 8yo. Josh's voice is still the Tokyo Metro network voice, so I hear Josh telling me to "stand behind the yellow warning block" every time I catch a train here in Tokyo, and it tears my heart out every single time. Take care, everyone...

The way that the announcer announces names is actually so interesting if you really think about it, there are several characters who we are aware of their full legal name whilst others use only aliases or pseudonyms, but this trend isn't super consistent throughout the way announcer names them. Most characters will fall under a specific group based on whether or not their full name is known. For example, Kazuya is referred to by the announcer as "Kazuya Mishima", Heihachi is referred to as Heihachi Mishima, even non main characters who are basically irrelevant to the story like Josie, who we know her full name is Josie Rizal is referred to as "Josie Rizal". By contrast, the characters who use pseudonym such as King, Armor King, Kunimitsu and to an extent even Ganryu and Violet are referred to by their pseudonyms and alias. Finally, you have the characters who are not given a last name, this could either be that their last name isn't given or it could just be another alias such as Shaheen or Hwoarang who unlike the previously mentioned characters, have no need for aliases as if you look at the list of people who use aliases:
King, Armor King, Kunimitsu, Ganryu, Fakhumram, Master Raven, Yoshimitsu, Violet, Kuma and Gigas. All of these characters use their alias to hide their identity for some type of reason.
King, Armor King, Ganryu, and Fakhumram are all professional fighters and they play characters in the ring as well
Kunimitsu, Master Raven and Yoshimitsu are literally ninja, so they all have to keep their identities hidden
Kuma and Kunimitsu are titles as well since these are not the first characters to bear these names
Violet is an alter ego for Lee and thus, is also a character Lee plays.
Finally, Gigas is literally a lab monster (who just so happens to be Katarina's adopted dad I suppose)
So characters like Shaheen and Hwoarang are probably not aliases as neither has a reason to adopt such a name in the first place, so it's simply that we're not given their full name.
With all that cleared up, there are actually some anomalies to this logic, those being, Negan, Lili, Miguel, Bob and Leo. These are all characters who we know have full names of being Negan Smith, Lili Rochefort, Miguel Cabellero Rojos, Bob Richards and Leo Kliesen, but for some reason, they are only referred to by their first name. You can't even make the excuse for Negan being a guest character as both Geese and Noctis are guest characters as well and well, we've all heard the Noctis Lucis Caelum memes now haven't we, so I found it interesting how the way that the announcer names characters is so consistent yet for some reason, excludes these particular characters for no reason in their naming logic.

I have gone through the storyline of tekken 8 I have delved into the whole storyline but I have not played the earlier parts why for example arrmor King is not there in part 8 and other characters why do they change it so that there is variety? 🇵🇱
