Any other tips or advice for those moving to/within Singapore?!
PS. My apartment tour video is up NEXT!! 👀 I'll be posting it in a few days
Looking forward your aprtment😂😂😂 it must be cozy and warm and with many of funny neighbour's?
Thanks for this video! Always found the process stressful. AC servicing is $40? Is that for the normal wash or chemical wash? Any recommendations?
@@Peacelily22 That’s for the normal wash for one unit - although prices will vary depending on the company! Chemical wash and other services are usually add-ons 😊
@@sherrybyw Hi sherry!!! Hope.to see more videos like this from you soon. ;)
Giving you a shout out and thank you for your hard work in making these videos, they're super useful!
I'm going through these processes soon! 🤞🏼
Me too!!!!
This is really informative!! I feel like it's good advice in general because there's a lottttt that goes into moving and especially in a different country
THANK YOU MY FAV BOSS HOME CHEF ❤️
Love your videos! I'm relocating from chicago to singapore for work this month and this is extremely helpful :)
I'm really happy to hear that! Safe travels and hope you love Singapore as much as I do :)
SO helpful, thank you!
Another excellent video, keep up the great work!!!
Thank you Raymond!
It makes sense to be aware of how things work in every country so people don't end up getting stuck in a miscommunication with the land lords or agents. This is actually helpful 👍🏽
Thank you!!
you’re glowin sisss 🥺🥺 ur my guide when i move there one day 👀👀
You are the sweetest!!! 🥺
I hope you visit / move here one day!
I love these videos - super useful, thank you! 💜
I'm so glad to hear it's helpful for you!!
Agree😊
This is so helpful!!
HI LILY.
First one!!!!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhhhh gotcha!
Very informative video!
finally a new video!!
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for another very very helpful video!
Agree!!😊
Thanks for the video. A comment from me would be to do exactly what you did by getting a cleaner referred to by your agent because if the job is not done properly you can put some onus and responsibility back on the agent. If you go out and get your own cleaner and the job is not done properly, then it's your responsibility.
Great tips, Sherry. I like you idea about hiring a van if you have a friend who is also moving on the same day. My brother and his wife are planning to move away from their apartment In the Wallace Residence, so I will definitely share some of your ideas with them. Btw, nice tan.
Very useful video, thanks a lot!
Shes so helpful😊
I miss living in Singapore. Was there in 2016. (also from Canada) Good job on these videos. Helpful for people whose workplace doesn't pay for their stay. I was lucky enough to live in both Geylang and in Bugis. Geylang was a low rise with a huge garden and over 200 statues spread around the grounds. Bugis was super central and I was above a Japanese bakery...sounds great until you realize how easy it is to get fat. lol
I LOVE Bugis area! So good.
@@sherrybyw you know the ramen village at the top? I took so many of my dates there. 🤣 i figured even if the date wasnt going to be amazing, the food would be. Hahaha
Very informative! Very clear. I ❤️ Singapore! Hope to travel back soon! I’m jealous of your eye makeup! Those earrings also really suit you! Are they new? Did you just get your ears pierced? Ciao, Lisian
Thank you!! I actually didn't get my ears pierced - these are super comfortable clip-on earrings that I got from my sister 🥺❤️ She's actually about to launch her business that specifically sells clip-on earrings at
aiori.co How awesome is that?!
@@sherrybyw Cool. Earrings really suit you! Good luck to your sister but I ❤️ my pierced ears. I have a couple of piercings in each ear. It does hurt too much and the range of pierced ears including studs and hoops is much better! Do you not like or cannot get your ears pierced? Ciao, Lisian x
Hello! Of all the countries, what made u pick SG?
Hi, moving to SG fairly soon from US. Any tips on personal banking and best options for expats? Will likely be doing a fair amount of SGD to USD transfers.
Hi Sherry,
What about when people buy furniture/appliances and have it delivered? Is it also subject to the moving in rules of the building? Surely people are buying online these days and with those, we have no way of controlling the actual arrival date. How long does it take to set up utilities and internet?
Thanks!
for furniture / appliances deliveries, if it's going to be a big item such as a refrigerator or a couch, then it might still be a good idea to check with the managing agent of your condo. Otherwise any day is usually fine. The managing agent (MA) is not unreasonable :) They know that many people get things delivered nowadays, but they do need to protect the condition of the building and its facilities as much as possible.
As for setting up utilities and internet connection, if the physical connections are there, and you have your account set up, probably by the next working day it can be done.
Can you relocate now with Covid?
Good and helpful video, overall.
I think it’d be helpful to share payment practices to set expectations. Sparcleanx wants full payment 2+ wks in advance. Very strange practice before even completing (or arriving at) the job. I decided against them.
You will fit nicely in Singapore since you look Chinese and you sound like most Singaporeans. 🥰
Cant wait for SG border to open for South Africans..Than i can start job hunting and get the process going.
You always make hearts flutter..c'mon gurl..😜😁😂
😂😂😂
Hi Sherry, This video is really helpful. I'm also from Canada and wish to work in Singapore in the future. Can you share how taxes will be calculated for Canadian tax residents if we work in Singapore? Is it easy to find a good accountant to support this matter when we work in Singapore? Thank you.
Did you apply for permanent residence in Singapore? If so, do you now have PR?
Will be moving to Singapore for work in Q1 2022, any tips on what inclusion to negotiate for as part of relocation assistance package?
Moved here too! Check out OSOME!😊
I am also watching your video from Bangladesh🥰🥰
How do I get a job that’s based in Singapore? For a work visa
Esp work from home
Hi Sherry, I am moving to Singapore next month and this is really helpful. But I am having a challenge to find any agent to respond to me when I found a listing on Property Guru, or units get taken up fast too :( Any tips?
Are you using Whatsapp to contact the agents?
@@sherrybyw yes I did and also left a message via email. Most agents would just read my messages and not reply. Because I have not arrived in Singapore, so my whatsapp number is Indonesia number for now. 😥
Nice. Makes one think twice about ever moving. Ha.
Madam is there good advantage for mba supply chain management
Whats the budget on average
What's ur work there
How did you move to Singapore? I'm from the US and trying to find a job in shipping/logistics there in Singapore?
OSOME is really a great company!😊
