Kinda wanting to trade my 06 330 for a f30, are the 4 cylinder turbos smooth and powerful like the older engines or would I be better off waiting and finding a n55 car
Honestly you'd be fine with getting a f30 328, 330 or 335 they're all great with the 335 obviously being the fastest stock. Just go for a 330 or 335 honestly. The b48 I the 330 is great and the n20 in the 328 is dope too but make sure you get the timing chain done in the 328 if it hasn't been replaced yet, unless it's a 2015 and up build. Also get an all wheel drive one.
@@nuriu4346 06 330 e90 has 258hp and less torque. F30 320 stage 1 should have 270+ hp and 420+ nm of torque. If f30 has 8hp it would be 0,5 sec faster than e90
330xi will lose a lot to 320i f30 stage 1.. I have won so many of them on the highway and also from lights On paper 330xi does 0-200kmh in 24secs while 320i stage 1 is 19-20secs
@@Cuuuukier How do you go from 180hp at crank to 270hp with a flash tune, which is all stage 1 is? And you are taking 270 wheel hp right? I have a 2019 F32 440xi. Stock it dynoed 323hp and 334lb tq at the wheels. Flashed with current map BM3 stage 1 93 octane it dynoed 386hp and 410lb tq. So that is a gain of roughly 60hp on a B58 platform, which is a much better motor over the N20. I doubt that the a N20 based 320 is gaining 100hp from a simple flash. I'm guessing you are talking about crank hp. In that case yes it is possible.
@@wingedhussar5528 n20 was on 320i(184) and 328i(245), all the same, but different tune. If u give a 328i a tune it'll also get around 270hp. In poland we measure in crank horsepower
@@KareemKayy lol it is kinda slow he was obviously saying in comaprison to stock tho. its not that much more money either. In the states at least 235s are dipping below 30. 5.7 is a stock 328 so with stage 2 that mabye 5 seconds? idk seems worth

@@speccyman2918i would argue that modding a 2 litre engine makes it less reliable than modding a 3.0 6 cylinder. Talking from a perspective of wanting to daily your car and have it 5+ years

i own an f30 335i with the 6 spd manual. it’s great. if i could go back though id save a lil more and get a 340i though. they’re insane

Pretty good for a 320 non-X Drive... I think your 0 to 60 might be close to my old 06 330xi E90, which had the NA 6 cylinder N52 motor.

What about the reliability is it still running? Because I saw few 320i with b48 that the piston ringland was damaged after tuneup

@@jasonc177 I also forgot that the 320 never really came with N13 engine did it. There's 2015 120i with N13 whereas 2014 120i has n20 so bit weird.

Some people want a 4cyl turbo car instead of the 6cyl turbo which can end up unreliable. I'd prefer modding a 328i or something
