She doesnt straight up suggest marriage right off the bat in the A support like she does with Sylvain, Ferdinand and Dorothea let their relationship happen naturally, it brings closure to their past, and Ferdinand is VERY much open to the idea of helping commoners and Dorothea would certainly have great ideas
Matthew Leong It felt it was left to interpretation. To me This convos was just to wipe that slate clean since both of them could relate what the other was going thru and their ending it took a while for them to actually be a couple even after the support same. It felt just as organic as fernxdori

Edelgard didn't know that the "young noble from Fearghus" she fell in love with was Dimitri, if Dimitri would have confronted her earlier, telling her about everything we might have had a different path, where edelgard tells Dimitri about what the horrible beings (TWSITD) did to her entire family and dimitri would be like the protector of edelgard striving for revenge in her stead. Sylvains Support could have easily lead to this. If I was in charge that would've been my 5th DLC Revelations type of ending.
I already worked on this, even borrowed characters from an artist and made one of my own. Premise: Byleth, us, tries to bargain with Rhea: Spare Edelgard, or we destroy the Sword of the Creator. We pull out the crest stone attached to our heart, remembering Jeralt's Diary and put it in the slot of the sword. We faint from blood loss then Edelgard picks up the sword revealing her Crest of Flames. Thales/Arundel stops Edelgard from striking Rhea and by his decree has Edelgard be sent to solitary confinement, while Hubert is in house arrest at his manor, Dorothea is sent to the Capital, and everyone else is sent back to their respective homes. At Arundel Manor it's Hubert who reveals the existence of Those who slither in the dark to the Blue Lions, Golden Deer and faculty.
I ship him with Mercedes, but: I came back to watch his support with Annette, after seeing a comic that had him as part of a chess club with Hubert, Claude, Edelgard, and Linhardt. I can absolutely see that happening.
The irony in Syivain's skirt chasing personality is that he's mostly shipped with Felix Why do I feel like I suddenly feel like there's a Felix x Annette shipper at my doorstep?
It’s a shame because I feel like being paired with Felix reduces his character development, as people don’t actually explore his depth and just do it because they’re fujoshis and/or they want to recreate Klance. Also Felix x Annette is a fun ship too
Well reading the end card with Felix made me sqwee and there is quite an old trope of "womanizer" is secretly gay or bi and honestly their lines about "promising to die together" is incredibly romantic. I personally like all the endings for different reasons because every character is so well written

Sylvain with ingrid is the most easy and the most canonically for many reason, but Dorothea it could be a good pair, the 2 of them are the same, 2 souls that see the life too cynical and horny, but, at the end they accept each other because they are the same And Mercedes, it what i like to say: "the true sylvain end" because, in this support he learn that the people CAN be good in the bottom of their hearts, because the thing that torment Sylvain, is the fact that people can't be honest, pure and noble, and sometimes can even be hostile for many reasons, and the most ironic of this, is that he doesn't do all of those thing because he got low self-esteem, because in his bottom of his mind, he wanna be strong, brave and popular (remember the byleth support that he wants to kill him/her only for jealousy), and of course, he doesn't stupid difference what people say about him (in the annette support we can see that he got the talent, even the reason is a budding talent of him) so, his mind is strong, but his soul is broken and confused, but when he learn about mercedes, he got a mind break about the perception about what he see in life, he learn that you can be yourself, you don't need to be someone who are you doesn't in first place only to be accepted for manies people that didn't care about your person, life is one

Wow, Sylvain and Dorothea, actually wholesome, especially their A support. I get this feeling Dorothea might be his canonical pair, if that is a thing, it makes too much sense not to be. So far, my thoughts on Cannonical pairings/endings: Byleth: Sothis (everything but the marriage part, he/she is Sothis in a sense), and also: For Male it would be Rhea/Edelguard (if went her route). For Female it would be Seteth/Edelguard. Why Seteth/Rhea? They are the same species effectively (Manakete not human). Why Edleguard? If her route, the others are out of the story by the end... and Edel WANTS Byleth, and fills a companion role, even if Platonic. Sylvain: Dorothea for reasons above. Hannerman: Lysithea, makes too much sense. He directly solves her problems, and she continues his dream of Crest research. (Probably can still do something similar even if Edel wins) More to come later.... still dont remember all the supports, they alot of them.
doing 'best' pairs seem very tricky. Bernie and Yuri were old friends, but I also love Yuri paired with Constance. If people don't pair Dimitri with Byleth, then they pair him with Marianne. I personally pair her with Ferdinand for some reason haha. People think Claude and Hilda are a natural pair, but I see Hilda's pair with Caspar pretty cute. People are split with pairing Annette with Ashe or Felix, mostly towards Felix. But then for Ashe it's either her or Petra, mostly toward Petra. Just so many good pairings!
Sylvain if you wanted a polyamorous relationship you need to open with that! Honest communication will help you get the relationships you are looking for. If you go behind someone's back of course they will be upset and think you don't also love them too. This universe needs therapy

Wow, Sylvain and Dorothea, actually wholesome, especially their A support. I get this feeling Dorothea might be his canonical pair, if that is a thing, it makes too much sense not to be.
So far, my thoughts on Cannonical pairings/endings:
Byleth:
Sothis (everything but the marriage part, he/she is Sothis in a sense), and also:
For Male it would be Rhea/Edelguard (if went her route).
For Female it would be Seteth/Edelguard.
Why Seteth/Rhea? They are the same species effectively (Manakete not human).
Why Edleguard? If her route, the others are out of the story by the end... and Edel WANTS Byleth, and fills a companion role, even if Platonic.
Sylvain: Dorothea for reasons above.
Hannerman: Lysithea, makes too much sense. He directly solves her problems, and she continues his dream of Crest research. (Probably can still do something similar even if Edel wins)
More to come later.... still dont remember all the supports, they alot of them.

But yeah for male byleth it seems 100% obvious for Edelgard. I think then Sothis for VerdantWind and BlueLions.
doing 'best' pairs seem very tricky.
Bernie and Yuri were old friends, but I also love Yuri paired with Constance.
If people don't pair Dimitri with Byleth, then they pair him with Marianne. I personally pair her with Ferdinand for some reason haha.
People think Claude and Hilda are a natural pair, but I see Hilda's pair with Caspar pretty cute.
People are split with pairing Annette with Ashe or Felix, mostly towards Felix. But then for Ashe it's either her or Petra, mostly toward Petra.
Just so many good pairings!
Sylvain if you wanted a polyamorous relationship you need to open with that! Honest communication will help you get the relationships you are looking for. If you go behind someone's back of course they will be upset and think you don't also love them too.

most of his supports are great, but his general attitude of flirting and breaking girl's hearts just to get back at the world that (allegedly) only sees him as a crest bearer is pissing me the hell off
I don’t think he does it to get back at the world, he’s just dating every girl on the principle that he’s got to find at least one person who loves him for who he is. I’m not saying it’s not a huge dick move, but it isn’t pure spite.
