I'm so use to seeing this guy play grouchy, bitter old men. It's a little odd seeing the actor is so joyful and friendly.
I know an actor who can act. Who'd of thought it?!
Great interviewer. Letting the man talk and not pestering him when he is trying to speak. Well done.
bennydman666 Thanks so much! Great to hear you enjoyed my interview. If you're a Game of Thrones fan, we've got tons more interviews I've done with the cast: ua-cam.com/play/PLD789F78F99814C3C.html Enjoy! :-)
***** Great interview, very professional !
LaBombaUrbana Thank you!
Marrie Mccray No.
Flicks and the City always does good interviews, from what I've seen. Thanks.
Robb and Catelyn Stark got butchered by the Hogwarts Janitor...
Nope. The First Doctor.
That's what you get for treating me like crap, muggles.
he is such jovial charming old man. but they always typecast him as a grumpy one lol
Because he nails it
EVERYBODY SHUT THE HELL UP!
...He's got a hat.
It's all good.
I want that hat... And then take a drink with you.
Walder, would you be so kind as to host Joffrey and Margery's wedding? :3
he and his band of musicians actually do travel on dragons to King's Landing and actually do enact the Red Wedding all over again on Joff and Margaery's wedding...
:D :D :D
Sweet!
That's definitely not a wedding I'll want to miss!
haha, that would be brilliant, Engel II! :-)
Also, let's invite Roose and Ramsay Bolton as well.
This fabulous actor passed me as I was going into the supermarket on Saturday. We nearly bumped trolleys and he scowled at me but I smiled at him...more in shock as I knew who he was. He then smiled back in a way to say....I know you recognise me and thank you for not making anything of it. He then went a got a Bafta at last night ceremony....so it was such a thrill to even be close to him!! He is brilliant in everything he does and he deserves all the accolades awarded to him.
Seems like a great guy, pretty healthy for his age too.
Definitely.
"If there's any weddings coming up I'm available"
Class act all the way :D
Hehehe Yeah !
If only Robb Stark had married his daughter.
Pixel Fyxe - and he paid for it.
a few fan fictions have Robb with Roslyn Frey quite good reads in fact. Here is one www.fanfiction.net/s/8419684/1/Promises-Kept
Wertha... Wa.. Wallra... Waldina.... ?... HAHAHAHAHA
"I'm Mary!" lol
"Fine."
noneban I’m Mary haha
I'm Merry lol. bah ..Fine !
Walder Frey is noble , honorable man His morality and integrity is unquestioned. A man of his word.
Your everywhere
Only on the game of thrones videos...
I agree. Robb was the asshole really.
awsome guy
He is!
Man, it's great to see and hear from these terrific actors who slip into " heavy" roles, thankless roles, play detestable characters.
F. Murray Abraham and Denzel Washington won Academy Awards for Best Actor for playing "bad guys. " Of course, they played lead roles, but I've long marveled at the "character actors" - perhaps a misnomer - who give supporting performances that often outshine the lead roles.
I hated Walder Frey, but I admire David Bradley. Terrific work!
This guy is so cool
Catelyn lost Robb's war, the moment she set Jamie free.
Her emotions lost them the war. They should've given Jaime to Roose Bolton and threatened to mutilate or castrate him if they don't give back the girls.
Such a great actor.
He really is!
Guess he will be needing a new wife now, and will have a wedding of his own to worry about. Walder Frey in a bedding ceremony...there is something to look forward to seeing.
If ever a reason existed to not watch the show, your sick mind just thought of it. :P
well, bedding ceremony is probably the surest way to actually transport him into that bed. i mean, have you noticed he doesn´t walk much in books nor in the show? there probably wouldn´t be any stranger woman to take him, but he has plenty of daughters and granddaughters that want to be in his good graces. they might be even desperate enough to strip something down of him.
"If there's any weddings coming up, I'm available."
Hey, what's a good wedding without a little rampant bloodshed? I'm in. What's his number? :)
Shoulda stayed in Hogwarts.
Lol no, he was a SQUIB in HP, figuratively the BASTARD of the Harry Potter universe. I'm sure he enjoyed his 90 years as Lord of the Crossing, rather than being a snitch and ratting on 12 year old STUDENTS OUT OF BED! Fucking squibs.
When I saw him first show up in the series, I was all "OH OMG IT'S FILCH" So always talked with my friends, who were fans of HP too. "..Tywin and Flich are going after the Starks."
I was more like "OMG it's Stemroach from Ideal!"
love it! :-)
Raymond Furby
And a Green Man from MidsomerMurders.
Fun-fact - a lot (I know of at least thre, which, I believe, IS a lot) of GoT actors had played in MidsomerMurders.
Maester Luwin and Alliser Thorne.
I think there could be more. Maybe I should dig that. Pretty sure someone did already, though)
he plays walder frey brilliantly, just like theon I actually feel their story arch are overlooked by most. theon constantly had the fact that he wasnt a stark hes just a ward shoved in his face, & robb gave his word to marry a frey, but he wed a nurse instead, where's the honour in that, if you use love as an excuse then your forgetting the world placed before us, cat didn't love ned at first, she was to wed neds bro.
MrLonewolfozz - good comment! I've looked at it from honorable Eddard's viewpoint - that he really loved Ashara Dayne. Never thought so much about Catelyn's viewpoint - likely because she couldn't accept Jon Snow. And I just held it against her. She was a good wife and a good mother.
Since Ned couldn't explain Jon because of the promise, I can see Cat feeling bitter.
Awww I love this guy! One day when I'll marry I'll have him invited for sure. Gonna be a *killer* wedding.
haha! ;-)
It's funny how all these actors who play absolutely vile characters seem actually quite nice in real life
Y'know what it's called? _Acting_ my friend, acting.
"lots of cleaning up to do".
Yeah, well, David you silly, thats what Filch is all about. :)
Is there anyways you guys from Flicks could also reach Michael McElhatton, who plays Roose Bolton? I'd love to see his perspective on his character and his family.
We'd love to interview him too and we'll definitely see what we can do! :-) Make sure you subscribe to Flicks And The City so you don't miss our GoT interviews! We've got over 100 GoT videos now and more coming! :-)
This guy is one of the best actors in the show, his performance in season two was brilliant, absolutely genius!
A phantastic and very versatile Actor. I've seen him in Hot Fuzz, Harry Potter, obviously, and a lot more Movies I cannot remember the titles of and I enjoyed them all. I wish im all the Best and good health.
4:53 xD
I think the reporter just got shocked with that hahah
Seriously love, you do the best interviews on youtube. The quality is amazing, keep up the good work!
What a lovely thing to say! Thanks, GlitchProHD! Do subscribe, we've got loads more interviews and videos on the way! :-)
***** Thanks so much for that, jree99! And you're welcome! :-)
***** Aw, thank you for saying so many lovely things, jree99! :-D
I didn't know Willie Nelson was British
Such a sweet old man...
He looks so much happier in real life
Such a sweet guy it's hard to imagine he plays such a bastard! Great actor!
I'm glad David had a lot of fun with the story, because the rest of us sure as hell didn't!
I wish he was holding a cat.
Next time! ;-)
Is he seriously defending Walder Frey? I love it.
+dogburndan obviously. hes walder frey playing david bradley
dogburndan - staying close to character. There has to be something of that character in an actor for him/her to play the role well. Just my take....
looks like he was late
If I was to get married I want him as the vicar in his Walder Frey outfit and demeanour.
Walder: "Do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
Me: "I do."
Walder: "And why would I let you do that?"
Hung, drawn, and quartered. That sounds good, especially for Walder.
A lot like with Charles Dance as Tywin and Diana Rigg as Olenna, David Bradley is the only Walder Frey for me.
Walder was always a ton of fun in the show. At least he's more classy and subtle than Joffrey.
The real reason why Walder/Filch ordered for Robb Stark to be killed is because Grey Wind killed Mrs Norris.
Poor Mrs. Norris...
I love the fact that the interviewer allowing David to speak!
I can't wait to see this man playing as Abraham Setrakian. That's gonna be awesome.
I'm still fucking baffled that Filch slaughtered the Starks....
Walder Frey is actually a funny and sweet guy. Who knew :) I enjoyed the bit when he explains how he prepared for his 4-page speech (right before the massacre). And that voice transformation at 4:54 ! Quite impressive.
A great actor! He made the first episode of the 7th season all the more memorable
david's laugh sounds like he just remembered a funny joke right before reaching climax
When walder is taking a sip of his wine while evilly smiling during the wedding. One of the best parts
Charles Gabriel - "evilly," good word!
From a janitor at Hogwarts to Lord of the twins... He has done pretty well i'd say :P
I hated his character so much, one of the best actors ever !
Only Walder Frey would defend Walder Frey xD
He just convinced me (in under 2 minutes) that the red wedding was justified lol
This guy is so cool. He has awesome take on the character.
This guy looks like William Hartnell.
He's a wonderful actor and such a lovely person
Absolutely right!
God it must be so fun to play such a detestable bastard
He really is a cool guy, both in person and in his acting. You can see a lot of mischief in his eyes!
leave one wolf alive...and the sheep are never safe
Walder Frey is so misunderstood lol
I will never think of filch the same way ever again
finally got his
THE NORTH REMEMBERS!
ELMITLON What's left of it...
The North has Roose Bolton to deal with. And Stannis.
ELMITLON ...to go and fuck itself!
Hmm...Filch. Yeah, he killed Robb Stark and funny thing is...David Bradley (Filch and Walder Frey) would later play as William Hartnell playing as the First Doctor in that Doctor Who Docudrama, "An Adventure in Space and Time." Yeah, such a wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey affair.
This guy is a legend!
Robb deserved what he got.
You're deranged.
yeah he's deranged do you want me to send my bastard after him ?
I suppose. Also, don't eat any meat pies that Wyman Manderly makes for you.
I didn't but the freys did. knowing that they are part of the secret recipe. And I would have thought freys would taste bad.
I really wanted to root for Robb, but he made some dumb decisons and those really pissed me the fuck off.
Check out David Bradley in this movie ua-cam.com/video/k9VZY76gkjo/v-deo.html
This guy is absolutely brilliant.
He really is!
An AMAZING actor, period.
geez, it's like he agrees with what his character did, holy shit. Even called it 'retribution' like it makes them even! you married a hot girl instead of my sloppy 342nds so now you die...cause fair is fair.
great guy, it is not easy to make everyone hate you)
I find it funny you are talking about it being hard to make people hate you and your picture is Joffery XD
Janos Slynt - you picked "Janos Slynt" for your handle?
Interesting, because I just left a comment on my appreciation for David Bradley's portrayal of Walder Frey. However, I used "thankless" in my remarks, and my mind immediately went to Dominic Carter's portrayal of Janos Slynt.
"I'm afraid! I've always been afraid! " said the bully. You thought Jon Snow was about to relent and spare the man, but the look on Kit Harrington's face almost said, "I appreciate you telling the truth, but I can't abide a coward!"
Thanks for your comment and for giving me another chance to comment on Janos Slynt. I believe there's more of him in us than most of us want to admit.
Edit: text editor used "Slant" for "Slynt, " and human editor, myself, missed it....
Quartered by horses, he say's? Like this guy? In Black Death Nothing Else Matters
Great interview as always, but I can't help but notice that you didn't include Sansa 2 times now when you went over the remaining Starks. :S
Nope, she was born a Stark, she thinks of herself as a Stark, and the fact that she was forcibly married off doesn't change that.
Thanks, Namirast, glad you liked it! As for Sansa, in the heat of an interview, sometimes I miss the odd thing! :-)
It's alright, it was just an observation on my part. ^_^ I know you like Sansa. :)
***** hehe, you know we do! :-) Game of Thrones Sophie Turner Interview - Season 4, Joffrey, Justin Bieber & Cersei
***** Holy SHIT! Show me where you found that profile pic!!
From Argus Filch to Walder Frey, David's really good at playing evil old assholes in fantasy stories.
Gah that's the kind of old bloke I want to be
Sarcastic Simon Same
Yet another underrated actor!
Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας YES, thank you. He needs more recognition, I thought he was great in harry brown, wish he had more screen time
Apparently he won an award for another role, so perhaps he's getting some recognition. Still, so many talented - if not gifted - actors eke out a living in the craft, while lesser talents gain fame and fortune.
LOL...ruthless person in a ruthless world my ass. Even the Westerosi were shocked by how messed up the Red Wedding was.
+Mitchell Jeon Only the North.
Great to see elderly actors who have dedicated their life to the craft snd (hopefully) made a decent living without being "stars" getting a late boost to their careers and a very tidy increase in their retirement funds.
I'm glad that oathbreaker is dead. A man who thinks with his small head and ignore the consequences even after being warned should really face the consequences.
S Sifr - another painful comment, but dead on. Now, what about us? Do we deserve as much when we fall short? Yes....
what a fantastic actor ! great work my man !
has he never seen braveheart?
***** You do see some of it - the drawing part where they disemboweled him, though the camera stayed on Wallace's face. (After being hanged and drawn, the real Wallace was quartered by being cut up and his parts were displayed in diffrent parts of the country to discourage future rebellion.)
aww he's delightful! I want to interview him!
:-D
He was so well cast.
DAMNIT FILCH
"THE LANNISTERS SEND THEIR REGARDS!"
It was awesome seeing him play a heroic vampire slayer in The Strain.
Great interviewer!
Thanks, Kai S.! Glad you enjoyed my interview with David! :)
Didn't Sean Bean get drawn and quartered in one of his movies?
Sean Bean dies horribly in EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING but Sharpe. Though he does have someone else hung for him in Sharpe xD
*****
Well he might died in the end, that we don`t know. Fucking love Sharpe though!
***** He also didn't die in National Treasure with Nicholas Cage. Not a great movie, but still, he didn't die.
crazy thing is ..... He's my favorite Character! Don't mess with Frey!
Order of favorite characters as I watched.
1st Tyrion, 2nd Khalesee 3rd DEFINATELY Reek. I loved reek. Reminds me of pledging my Frat back in 1997. LOL. then now.....finally......currently........Walder Frey is my favorite dude. Hillariously Evil and funny to watch!
I LOVE David Bradley!
Here's for the young wolf! Ahwooooooo
forever young...
Alex Palacios *creepy sociopath smile*
Seems like a cool and nice guy, but he still has an evil smile
great actor.
Seems like a regular dude. Doesn’t look like the type of guy to play awful characters which probably makes him such a good actor. He’s a older man but he’s so sharp and quick.
Now everybody knows Walder Frey & his family's days are numbered. For them Not to be goes against "the natural law of retribution" which Always has it's work! :-)
I think he misunderstands the character
wow...his teeth are so white!...are they false?
He should do adverticement for a wedding planner agency.
"I promise i will not harm the brooms family, this time"
woaah, i didn't know about will champion! so awesome! :D
