The nWo was emulated from Japan, Ric Flair stole the Nature Boy from Buddy Rogers, Val Venis from Rick Rude, Demolition/Powers of Pain from the Road Warriors, The Renegade from the Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan from Billy Graham and many more I can name. Kevin never called out Hulk or Ric when they did their thing. Kevin should understand the years of inspiration and ripping off gimmicks. LA Knight is getting over and is inspired by Rock and Austin. Big deal that’s how wrestling’s worked for decades.
@@QAZ-OMENit’s basically just a group of “outsiders” showing up to Japan, and trying to “take it down” Barely anyone in the US even knew of this, or cared.
So here is a history lesson. The Rock and LA Knight actually worked together on a show. Knight even said their voices are similar to a point that sometimes people would get confused on the show from the two. Either way, kevin isn’t getting on Damian Priest when his gear has Scott Hall old attire and using the razors edge for one of his finishes. Come on man.
Kevin is a weirdo. Most wrestlers emulate old ones. Solo is literally copying everything about umaga, chad gable basically copies kurt angle, look further and theres also jack swagger. Dolph emulates hbk down to how he sells his superkick. Calling someone a rip off just because he emulates someone he idolizes is pretty damn disrespectful especially when theres tons of wrestlers that do the same thing
When you realize how short The Rock's career actually was, its not necessarily a bad thing to have someone else come in with a similar style to continue it.
@soupkiwi345 The point has merit. If you look back the Rock wrestled full time from November 1996 until he started taking big breaks away for acting roles in April 2001. He was “around” to an extent from 02-04 but sparingly since he began to fully focus on acting. And I don’t fault the dude for that it clearly was the right call. But if we’re real about it the rock wrestled full time for less than five years before he began taking huge chunks of time away to begin his acting career. Taking inspiration from him is a non issue and something wrestling has done throughout time. Even the Rock himself began with inspiration of Deion Sanders with the third person thing. People whining about LA Knight is another example of how a lot of wrestling fans seem to refuse to be happy with anything. Fans yearn for the attitude era but when a guy uses it to inspire his persona it’s an issue because now it’s a copy cat. If people like it then who gives a damn honestly.
As if EVERY big guy in Nash's time didn't copy Andre? From his pace, to his overhand chops, to his demeanor when Andre was a heel late in his career, etc.

All the old school fans like me. Have been waiting for a guy like LA Knight for 15 years now. A blend of stone cold /rock and himself . Hes the perfect wwe champion in the making. 'YEAH'
I saw a guy that said that LA Knight shouldn't be pushed, because he's not an original gimmick and my reaction was: "How many gimmicks are really original in wrestling history? Gorgeous George is the only one that comes to mind." You take stuff that works and make it your own. Just say that you don't like the guy and that's ok.
The most original gimmick I remember is Adrian Street. At the time he was doing his thing it was really taboo and everyone who worked with him said he was the toughest guy in the locker room because hee had to be with that gimmick.
Why is that even a problem? Hulk Hogan was just a Superstar Billy Graham clone and they weren't that far apart. I think 20 years after he stopped being a regular wrestler it's fine for someone to be similar.
The difference is Hogan used Billy Graham as a base and built on it. As a character and on the mic Hogan was way better than Billy Graham ever was and that's the reason Hogan got over. He took the gimmick and made it his own. The same with Flair and him taking Rogers gimmick. LA Knight is getting over because he reminds people of two of the most beloved characters in the history of WWE and not because he took Austin and Rock's gimmick and improved on it.
LA Knight was a high schooler during the attitude era - that's probably the most impressionable time for a young man. So it makes sense that he was inspired by The Rock.
I feel like the Rock basically created an modern take on the Nature Boy gimmick, Rick Flair wasn’t the first nature boy or even the only nature boy of his day, so it makes sense that someone would again take that gimmick and do it good
@@justiezihe only thing Rock was influenced by Flair was the dress code with the shirts, and how he would start off a promo. Most of the Rock’s act came from the university of Miami where he went to school. Especially when he would make fun of a wrestler. That was a culture thing. No wrestlers were doing that.
I firmly believe that L.A Knight is his own man. Has he most likely been inspired by past generations of wrestlers? Sure, but who the hell in the business hasn't?? This is just Nash being Nash, he favors those he likes, and knocks on those who he doesn't. Sometimes you just can't win when it comes to the veterans and their personal opinions.
I saw some people saying he shouldn't get pushed because he's not "an original gimmick". And my reaction was who's an original gimmick besides Gorgeous George? Ric Flair took Buddy Rodgers’ gimmick and ran with it. Triple H evolved in to The Game after watching Shane Douglas on ECW. RVD was the wrestling version of Jean Claude Van Damme. His best pal Razor Ramon (RIP) was wrestlings answer to Tony Montana. Sting took Brandon Lee’s “The Crow” character and made it his own. Oh and get this…
Big Show copied Kevin Nash’s entrance and the beat in his theme music. Not only that, the Bullet Club is the modern version of nWo. He said his favourite wrestler today is Kenny Omega. So I really don’t understand what his issue with LA Knight is

Nash still has so much heat with the Rock, LA Knight is getting hit by proxy 😂
Because Rock and Knight got over without being one of Shawn Michaels’ bodyguards and using it to score more money. Nash was basically that. And it was the NWO storyline that was the sell, not so much Nash. Kevin never called out Hulk or Ric when they did their thing. Kevin should understand the years of inspiration and ripping off gimmicks. LA Knight is getting over and is inspired by Rock and Austin. When you realize how short The Rock's career actually was, its not necessarily a bad thing to have someone else come in with a similar style to continue it.
That's so bs 😂😂
This is true rocks full time career was about 6 or 7 years.

Not just Hulk Hogan. Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes absolutely were strongly influenced by Superstar Billy Graham. They’re all legends.
The difference is Hogan used Billy Graham as a base and built on it. As a character and on the mic Hogan was way better than Billy Graham ever was and that's the reason Hogan got over. If LA Knight interrupted Roman Reigns, WWE would have a class action lawsuit on its hands. The pop would permanently deafen the crowd.
I feel like the Rock basically created an modern take on the Nature Boy gimmick, Rick Flair wasn’t the first nature boy or even the only nature boy of his day, so it makes sense that someone would again take that gimmick and do it good
Not totally wrong. Rock was basically Ric Flair meets Ed Orgeron (his coach at Miami).
@@justiezihe only thing Rock was influenced by Flair was the dress code with the shirts, and how he would start off a promo.
