- Morning Routine with my Saltwater Reef Tank | Blue Reef Tank
In this video, I'm sharing an ordinary morning in my life as a reef-keeper in Melbourne, Australia. I like to take things slowly in the morning and taking care of my saltwater reef tanks can be a very relaxing and enjoyable thing to do!
This week, I'll show you how I do my water testing and feeding the little firefish with their favourite treats. The WB Peninsula Mini 25 is also getting some new residents - this tank is slowly but surely coming together :)
I hope you enjoy this week's content and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss out on the exciting things to come!

Amazing video as always. Quality level is 100%
Thank you and glad you enjoyed the video Rudra🙂
Those Zoas are lovely. I particularly like the orange and purple one. Super cool colours. Keep up the good work. 👍👍
Great job....
Your video editing is 2nd to none !
I only wish one day I can wake up at 8am and spend most of the day looking after my tank. Nice video
Wow just wow I find it truly amazing how your so meticulous with everything u do for the fish as well as the corals just the little things that amaze me in these videos man kuddos to you my man!!
This music choice is perfect... very suitable.. don't listen to what others want, you'll just end up copying all the other channels! ❤
Your videos are always a treat. Keep making them 👏
Will do! 😁
哇塞!好漂亮紫色的鱼👍
Está ficando muito legal seu Reef, parabens!
thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks for watching Uygar 😎

Thank you Tanmay!
Another perfect vid!!!
Thanks for the support mate!
Awesome video, as always!
Thanks again!
my fav vid
Thanks for the support Kenny!
Worms? Man that's a lot of work every single morning (without fail). I agree with Alk testing regularly...good work doing that every morning.
Yes it's a lot of work. I harvest them every day to feed my other fish as well. I do it in like a rotation 😅
Another great video. I use the Hanna Phosphate ULR and Nitrate HR and I love them both. I have considered getting the Hanna Alk test. Currently using the Red Sea Test, and I like it too. Quick and easy. One thing I saw in the video was that you were filling the cuvette with water to the 10 mL mark on the cuvette. I'm unsure if you noticed this, but that line is off compared to what 10 mL actually is in a syringe. I now use the measurement from my syringe to measure out 10 mLs to get the most accurate results possible. Thought I'd share. Keep it up!
Thanks for the tip!
Interesting, do you have any info that goes into this with detail?
Good morning brother. ❣️❣️❣️
G'day mate 😎
🥰
Not bad man 😉.
Cheers Lorenzo 😁
Nice Videos ! greets from Germany
Thank you for the support 😎 G'day from Australia!
you must have a busy life!
Just like anyone else 😄
Hanna checkers are great 👍🏼 Got my first one (nitrate) a week ago. Mine has a powder reagent that is a pain but other than that I like it.
yeah! Power reagent can be a pain to insert in the cuvette sometimes
If you ever decide to buy a new aquarium can you film it sped up or normal speed when you are decorating it with like calming music, would love to study or read while watching!
That's a great idea! I will put this on my list :D
Cool video. Love the Harry Potter on the Nimbus. What’s that device creating fog?
Thanks bro! The device is a mist maker.
Do you mind putting your background music playlist...I love em
Thanks Christian! The songs are listed in the description under each video :)
I love how relaxing the video is, and love the tank setup as well. Just as a suggestion, maybe try a different genre of music that suits the vibe a bit more? Something a bit more downbeat or jazzy would be amazing! Keep up the great work :)
Thanks for the tips! :D
Hey brother when you put the tank water on the cubet the water should be a little above the line check out Hanna instruments video so you can see what I'm talking about just a tip. Love the vids keep on reefing brother.
Thanks for the tip brother!
I use the Hannah copper test for accurate quarantining and love it. Out of curiosity, why rinse the vial with tap water if you’re just going to rinse with RO/DI after? Couldn’t that potentially introduce other contaminants that could mess with the test? Or at a minimum, sort of be a waste of time if RO rinse is after?
Good point! The reason I rinse with tap water first is because I don't have much RODI left at the time so I have to conserve it haha But yes you're right, should've just rinse with RODI :D
I like my Hanna phosphate LR for its accuracy, but use Salifert for everything else. It’s still quick and easy (I like them way better than my last Red Sea foundations kit) but most importantly- cheap. I find myself rarely using my Hanna checker because the reagents are expensive 😳 still, you can’t really beat a digital reading can you! No ambiguity.
Yeah, digital is still the best. I am bad at reading colors haha
Awesome! What type of leather coral is that? I've been trying to decide between a Nephthea and Toadstool
I believe mine is the sinularia type :) All leather corals are great. Easy to keep, grow fast and adds a lot of movement to the tank
@Blue Reef Tank awesome! I just ordered a neon green toadstool to try out!
@@ReefBrosOfficial I have a Napau Nephthea and green Toadstool, wonderful softies. They appreciate a decent amount of indirect flow for sure.
@@N7Narc0sis nice! I can't wait for them
Great Video. How is your Spider Sponge doing?
It didn't make it unfortunately :(
What glue do you use? Amazing video
I am using a brand called AMS Coral Glue :)
What's in that white bottle you use to wash things?
What type of filter do you have over the glass when cleaning off the white worms? I would like to purchase that as I am not cleaning my white worms when feeding my tank
That's a brine shrimp sieve that I got from ebay :) Hope this helps
Nice tank🙂what is the name of the hose with a tiny pump with which you added water from the aquarium to acclimatize the corals? this hose from which it was dripping slowly in small droplets. I want to buy it but i don't know how to find it
It's called the AccuDrip from Innovative Marine. I have a link of where I got it in the video description 😁
@@BlueReefTank thanks ! ♥️
How do you grow live corals?, i have never succeeded this ever, it just ends up as the water gettibg durty and the corals releasing stringy white things
That's a big question. Go do some research- BRS 52 weeks of reefing is a good place to start.
@@Jaguarboy11 well thankyou
I agree with Death Dwarf. BRS 52 weeks of reefing is packed with info on how to setup a successful reef tank. That's where I got most of my 'reefing' knowledge as well :)
That leather looks stunning. What is the name please?
I believe it's the sinularia sp. :D and yes, I love the colors!
What do you work with? Whatever it is looks like you earning some big money of it!
Nah I just spend all my money on this lol
what skimmer do you have??
What is the fog machine!!??!
It's a mist maker that I got from ebay 😅
What’s the drip kit you use?
It's called Accudrip from Innovative Marine 😊 - You can check it out here: amzn.to/3AzMBEq
What worm si tht?
What is the vapor maker @ 8:59
That's just a normal mist maker that I got from ebay 😅
@@BlueReefTank Yea, I found your other video over how you made it. ;)
What are the worms you culture?
I also wanted to ask the same question. What are these worms?
White Worms!!! They're often cultured to feed fish and amphibians
They are white worms :) I have video about how I culture them as well ua-cam.com/video/HVYAu3Wq2iU/v-deo.html
@@BlueReefTank cool thanks
What kind of worms are those?
White worms
@@BlueReefTank thank you for share this, how to cultivate and where i find that worms?
Those Zoas are lovely. I particularly like the orange and purple one. Super cool colours. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻👍🏻
Totally agree - Zoas are a must-have in the tank! Thanks a lot 😊
