I am an old man that rode for many years. Just saying that so you understand where I’m coming from please be careful and don’t get complacent the problem with motorcycles is that you can’t take anything for granted you can ride for 20 years and then one little mistake will put you in the hospital as itchy boots found out love you be safe ❤
Absolutely true. A motorcycle is a motorcycle.. You can’t be sure of anything. This unfortunate accident that happened to Norali is proof of this. There was nothing difficult on that road, but a mistake in attention led to serious injury.
Thanks for showing me roads in NZ that I have not traveled. Your attitude to riding the more difficult surfaces is great. Loose gravel with a heavy lafen bike keeps your eyes wide open. Go well
Stormy point lookout is on a road known as Vinegar Hill (State Highway 54) and is one of my favourite stretches of road in the Manawatu, alas I haven’t been there for a few years so it bought back pleasant memories, thanks. I’m currently making my way through your motorcycle journey videos and I’m enjoying them a lot, safe travels.
IT is what it is! What a calm spirit you are Runa. LOVE your music choice for "Mordor", so atmospheric for that grand scenery. Left, left, left, excellent mantra Runa.👍 Yes the loose gravel is great fun, foot down and sliding through those corners, just takes practice on a dirt bike Runa. Buy another sleeping bag, yes, you would have needed it. Those NZ green valleys and hills, so wonderful, great camera skills Runa.🤩🤩🤩🦘🦘
I've ridden most of the roads in your first 2 nz videos, and all of northland too. Where you parked on Mt ruapehu, our grandmother used to take us there to play in the snow when we were kids. Good to see my homeland through another's eyes
As many have said before me your casual laid back manner is very soothing, yes that loose surface can be quite tricky, not as bad as sand but never the less requires a bit of concentration. The scenery is beautiful, very relaxing. Good luck keep going, look forward to seeing more of New Zealand, can see why so many Europeans fell in love with the place and made it their home.😊😊😊😊
What a peaceful, relaxing ride. The countryside is blissful. I cannot think of anywhere else with such a positive vibe. Looking forward to the next episode of your adventure.

You are doing a great job, like 360 from the back the lower thirds titles, and the maps integration where you are, your camping is fun. Ten camper are Cool most of the time. Maybe a liner for your sleeping bag might work. Everybody says they should travel like this but you are the one doing it. I am so proud of you. P.S. I really like your flag. See that, on the "right" (LEFT) side of the road...@9:29 LOL You're doing a GREAT job, Runa! The whole idea of driving on the left side really FLIPS my brain. 🤣😂🤣😂
Lady rider with the best attitude, through various conditions you always have a great receptive attitude about what ever comes your way, thank you for that, where you are I’d love very much to explore such a land, I couldn’t get enough of your native land but thanks to you I get a real big smile seeing the wondrous places u share with us all. Keep exploring, I’m almost 70 and gearing up once again for our big trip, so back on 2 wheels soon enough, thank u again for sharing, be safe out there and always keep the sunny side up. Rob U.S.
Hu? Close to the Equator? I presume that you mean that we are close to the Antarctic which has a hole in the ozone layer above it. Yes I know what you are talking about, NZ is the worst place I have ever been to that is so very easy to get sunburned. I have worked in Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe and nowhere is the danger of skin cancer like in the paradise of the South Pacific. When fishing the Tongariro River in July I got my bottom lip burned with just the reflection of the light from the river. My clothing covered me all except for my mouth! I have camped the South Island for a year, fishing and hunting, love this place. Cheers mate, Harera
That cow be: yov! check out this girl. She going to stay with us 😂. Joke apart, Oh! god, Really watching your videos motivates me to become wanderer. Like telling myslef, there is a world out there that you never seen. Go and do some adventure. Keep it up.
There r so many good roads and scenery that u missed with ur abbreviated trip. Any rider should allocate a month min to see NZ. Uve completely missed north of Auckland which has enough to keep u entertained for days. That said, ur compilation of ur trip is great. Cheers from a 75yr old regular rider
Du machst wirklich so schöne videos.
Right?😍 So fresh and green, it was lovely! I heard and read many places that the NZ road standard was not great, but I didn’t find it problematic at all
How to ride dirt and gravel, shift your weight back a little, lean the bike slightly into the turn and steer in the opposite direction, the faster the more steer, start slow first but when you got it, it is so much fun, also builds your confidence when riding on a wet road
BRAVO👏
👍Thanks Runa.. always a treat to watch your relaxing videos ! Beautiful scenery as always ! Looking forward to the next episode !....Please stay SAFE and UPRIGHT ! Love from Australia 🏍🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺
I noticed you are using the action 3 as main vlogging camera and I guess you are using the dji wireless mic to attenuate the audio signal going to the action 3. I know for a fact that audio easily peaks on action 3 when motovlogging and the onboard gain setting is not enough to control the peaks on audio. If you can get the new 3.5mm audio adapter from dji it attenuates the signal significantly and is compatible with the action 3. No need to use the wireless transmitter and make the setup heavier than it should. Just plug the lav mic directly to the adapter. Hope it helps.
Wow... Be Happy and Smile, simple words and yet so powerful ... Life it self , video 10 out 10 , love the way you complement that beautiful scenery.. Thanks 💐
The views and scenery truly are one of a kind down there! You might have your fjords, but New Zealand sure knows how to create beautiful landscapes of their own sort. 👍
They sure do 😍 Great variation too, never a boring moment riding there! And their temperatures are in general a bit nicer than Norway too 😂 although that changes quickly too
great video Runa such incredible views .... just one suggestion I use for the DJI Mic is a USBC cable attach it to the camera then tuck the Transmitter into the pocket on the Jacket keeps it waterproof and then feed the cable up through the helmet strap and into the camera on the chin. I do this and it works great ..... just remeber to take out the USBC cable when you take of the helmet
So happy to come along for this ride in my favorite country! But I fear you missed the "Forgotten World Highway" (Highway 43). It's a great motorcycle road and you were so close! Perhaps next time. Looking forward to the next chapter!
I can really relate to your "stay left, stay left" thinking. When I was probably your age I had a job in England for a year. Between driving a car and riding a motorcycle I was pretty confident in my " stay left" abilities. In a serious fast thinking situation every thing goes out the window. Your emergency reactions automatically revert to "go right, go right".
Lovely relaxing video in stunning New Zealand, I believe the trees are Canadian Maples, hence the national flag of another stunning country. Nice to see you on the ‘proper’ side of the road, I’m English😉 Got to love a coo and get yourself a three season sleeping bag, I’m old so I hate being cold…
