This channel inspired me to take my motorbike from Ireland on the ferry to France last month, and do 5,000kms in 2 weeks across France and Italy. Everything about the journey felt spirtual, and I'm the least spiritual person there is. I'd forgotten how amazing it is to be on 2 wheels exploring. Thanks Runa!

It is just wonderful to see such green landscapes, a real contrast to the dry, hot humid landscapes of an Australian summer in my area. Don't worry about following the printers folds in the map, just do your own thing. Fold it every night to show the next day's ride - it's much easier and makes sense!

that place, where you had the "cooooffeee!" at robins place or so, was exactly my stop, when i did the round scandinavia trip , and was freezing like hell (having punctured gloves soaking wet of rain and snow, which i tried to dry there ). what memories this brings back. and you know what, somewhow i was wondering, when i saw the part where you discussed the road and was pointing on the dotted road , that this is exactly the way i did my rout , if you would stop there. and you did. and what a cosy place it was back then. :-) enjoy, keep up the post, take care and as till now: i really like your way of doing this channel. chilled, not to much adrenaline etc. kinda contrary to what the algorythmn of youtube wants, but it still is working , this is great :D

Like you say...They don't get it,
I had a long night ride recently, & it became very cold, (I got caught out despite my years of experience) I taped up my cuffs to try & stop the cold air going up my arms, It only partially helped for a short time,
Then I got really cold, (Like you do) My right knee seized up, -like it ALWAYS does (lol) & I shivered,
But it's ingrained in me now, I enjoyed it, All these years on, I'm not going to change now.
btw.... I think I enjoyed that Ham & Cheese roll almost as much as you did, Great work Runa,

It looks like you dealt with plenty of rain last summer when you were riding also. When I was up at the Arctic Circle the mosquitos were insane! You needed 3 hands, 2 to set up your tent and one to slap the damn mosquitos. 😂. I have a heated jacket liner I use when it’s colder outside, like 10°C and down to a bit under zero that I will still ride. Haters will hate, screw them😂, I will be comfortable also. The ones that criticize heated gear probably won’t ride if they see a cloud because it might rain too🙄! Oh, previously I noticed you really like ice cream, I believe ice cream is a food group of its own! Damn I love good ice cream😂

I belive that machine is for lifting a motor sled from bottom of the lake. they like to do some water cross in summer with they winter motorsleds :)

De brukes til å ta opp snøskutere som går under vann under konkurranser.
Det å kjøre med snøskuter på vann er en sport som enkelte også bedriver i Finnmark. Flåte du filmet har et veiskilt merket med Kirkenes. 😁

18:50 I assume it's for lowering the weight to the bottom that is attached to a buoy so it can handle a boat attached to the buoy. All that matters is if it will get the job done or not, and contraptions like this isn't something you use all that often anyhow. I think it looks mint lol

I used to sell Gerbing heated jackets (now Gordon's). Your riding season expands with a heated jacket liner.
I am old enough to remember when a heater was an option in cars. As I see it, it is a $200 option not to be cold on a motorcycle.
I think the safest days to commute, in Western Washington, was when it was below 40 degrees and the rain was coming down hard, blown at 45 degrees. I am warm with my heated liner. I am dry in my Gore-Tex. Cars can't take their eyes off me. They are thinking either, "Look at that poor motorcyclist," or “Look at that stupid motorcyclist.” Either way, they are looking at me. When it is 85 degrees and the sun's out, they are looking at birds and girls in short skirts, and they are running over motorcycles.

I think UA-cam have been chewing on the frames now and decided to spit out the content in all resolutions now without hiccups or blackscreen. The content was already good, now it even looks good. 👍
