One of my favorite boats, that top is so cool, because when your out it's so great to be able to have open and closed cockpit, a huge advantage, a real beauty.
There's a channel for some space video game where you upgrade spaceships. They get an architect to walk through the spaceships and talk about what works and what doesn't work. this reminds me of that.
It make my 50' bashful. I have only 2 v8 Corvett Engine, and have two 150 gal. gas tanks. rides 15 and sleeps 9. I love my boat. on a good day I can go 45 knots.
The best shaped Riva i like and very stable boat really handles the sea well, but for €5.5m i expect more, and this should be equipped with Simrad Xenta like PERSHING 8X which is a nice boat two but I don't like the internal layout much, and its not as sexy as this Riva, but with these size boats you cannot have it all, but i think they are bit over the price. PERSHING 8X is less if not mistaken but it has fly bridge and lockable doors so its more secured, but again i like the shape and sexy look on a boat, and this Riva has nice looks from all angles.
If this beautiful piece of nautical excellence was a horse she'd definitely be a lipizzano from the beautiful Italian drama series that I saw as a kid during the 60s in Scotland and I think the name of said drama was white horses, a lifelong lof equines followed.👍
So this boat can only go around 420 nautical miles on 7500 liters of fuel at a constant speed of 24 knots? Is there a way to go any farther? or would that be the most efficient pace
....very wise to put an anemometer for the hard top retracting mechanism :-). Lets hope that the safety mechanism is reliable enough, so that we wont see the hard top flying and chopping out windsurfer heads.
Florida?!?!?! The most enchanting place to sail?!?!?! Someone's never laid off any Alaska glacier and watched it calve. I can name a dozen places more enchanting than Florida.
Of course because that is the only type of conditions you take a boat like this out in. But, I guess you would wake up in the morning & go up one deck and notice it was windy, rainy, & choppy & I thank "Great day for a boat ride"
@@zohaf Just look at Florida on Google Maps. The Bahamas are only about 50 Nautical Miles (about 90 kilometers) away from Florida. So when you live in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and have a boat like this, you can be in the Bahamas in 2 hours. That is why Fort Lauderdale is so popular with yacht owners and why yacht and marina culture is so big there. Imagine that lifestyle. You live in a big American city, with all the shopping options and restaurants that gives you, but you can do day-trips to the Bahama islands. The beaches and the party scene there are just a 2 hour boat ride away. Other people have to book cruises a year in advance to visit the Bahamas. Sure, you can also visit a lot of nice places from Italian harbors. The Croatian coast is nice too, but it isn't the Caribbean sea. That is why there is no better place to be a yacht owner than Florida. It is no wonder most cruise ships are based in Miami.
Even the smallest Riva power boat is way beyond the ability of the average working man to afford the purchase when one considers they start at $200,000 with the largest (this one) who's purchase price is $2.5million. Don't get me wrong they are about the best and a quality beyond reproach
At 29 knots it's using 20 liters per mile (I do not like his mixing of metric and imperial!), which in the US would be about $12 per mile. So some perspective on how much these multimillionaires and billionaires are spending on fuel alone: At 163 nautical miles from Ft Lauderdale to the Nassau Bahamas is $2000. At 928 nautical miles from New York to Ft. Lauderdale is $11000. At 129 miles from Ft Lauderdale to Key West is $1500. At 21 miles from Ft Lauderdale to close by Miami is $250. Basically, at 29 knots it's costing about $350 an hour. So even a multimillionaire would want to spend most of their time on this boat ANCHORED! LOL!

he has the BEST job in world
I was thinking just this
.
He's a gusher.
What if he cries every night because he can't afford any of the yachts, and he can't take free charters because of journalist professionalism?
@@basstrammel1322 i don’t think he does
Certainly one of the most expensive ways to cover a mile offshore with 1 person and a camera man. Perfection.
Would be nice at the end of your videos to state the starting price or the price of the model used

With this yacht I can travel the world with my family ☺👍
Leader success ! I doubt it. The fuel capacity is not enough for trans Atlantic voyages. Forget about Pacific crossings.
Now this is really nice
Excellent in one word

someday i will own one of this!
8:10 minutes 20 liter per hour should be 20 liters gasolin per mile. Nice video , I love Riva, 2 especially Riva tropicana 43 and Riva splendida 72
best yacht in the world imo

At displacement speeds below where it planes it will consume almost nothing compared to speeds above where its on plane.
Sure, just find a powerful enough current headed in the right direction.
