According to a turtle named crag from the wild robot book, the island the animals lived in was actually a mountain surrounded by flat land, but when the earthquake hit and the ocean water rose, the animals of the island were forced to higher ground and it became the island we know and the books and the movie.
That's why to me the island looked like it was once part of a once larger wilder landscape before the floodwaters came and surrounded the land with ocean forming the wild island we see!
This also makes sense given the close proximity to the Golden Gate bridge to the island, if a cataclysmic earthquake happened on that faultline then the entire west coast of the US would be underwater which is exactly what we see. Given the islands semi-close proximity I'd think its located somewhere in Alaska or western Canada.
@@schon2395 I also wondered where realisticly the island would be located since it had habitat looks of California but with wildlife from Alaska like bears, wolverines, sea otters and moose!
I always love it when people take the high road and try showing a more optimistic Star Trek like future even in spite of our present world, also I know it’s a bit far from your wheel house but have you considered doing a video on transformers one? Love to hear your thoughts
Brightbill (and a lot of the other geese) are another sign of how things have changed. Brightbill is theorized to be half barnacle goose and half canada goose. He has the markings of a barnacle but the colors of a canada. And we see that his biological family’s nest was on a cliff (which is where barnacle geese usually nest). So it’s possible that the changes in climate caused canada and barnacle geese to interbreed and make hybrids.
@@ZaidNailI have to say that the concept of natural animal hybrids has always fascinated me. I often wonder if it's possible that a stable population of hybrids can form and speciate from the original parent Species.
I would love to see you do another video of the wild robot asking, why on the island, there are larger populations of certain animals than others. Like we only see one bear, one fox and a single opossum and her babies but we see so many of others. Deer and rabbits are obvious but there are multiple wolverines on the island, even though it shouldn’t be possible on a small island and wolverines need large territories.
Kinda a long way of saying we destroyed the world and made a few domes to not die off. And made 0 attempts to reverse it. That will likely get even worse since the animals not assisted are dying. It is a great movie though.
You also didn't notice how the island's single flock size of canada geese were huge,as big as the flocks of the once living passenger pigeon, did humans isolated themselves from the wild and stop hunting or taking more of the land for themselves so the wildlife could reboost their populations out of the human's way of shrinking their numbers!?
Why would that be? Because weather in our time has been getting more extreme, longer droughts in some places and more rain in others, more wildfires ice caps and glaciers melting and sea level rising. Can you say that any of those things make the Earth better?
to be honest I think they overreacted to the geese espeally with the use of violence if they're so advanced they can have something to protect them from diseases
i noticed in the wild robot is that the feminine presenting robots all the Rozs, and Vontra have circle bodies while the masculine-presenting robots the soldiers and body guards had square like bodies, and Roz and Vontra has more calmer personality while male robots tend to be more aggressive and not all that smart more using brut force while Roz and Vontra are smart and use their intelligent, also the Roz robots are given more traditionally feminine roles like looking after children and being like a nanny to families which her taking care of Bright Bill was not too far from her actual job she would be the program for, though I think Roz who ended up picking fruits were Roz that were not assigned families. though Roz didn't get a human family she got a goose son and fox brother family

The Wild Robot was an absolute masterpiece and I’m really glad you’re making videos for it Isaac!
Well I’m sorry but the humans had no excuse to kill Longneck. He was a good goose.
I'm looking forward to the sequel of the Wild Robot, which makes sense because the movie is based on the book trilogy of the same name
My headcannon is that this takes place only just a few Hundredish years of not less that when Wall-E’s timeline takes place

Why is no one talking about why fink is the only fox in the island 😭

FINALLY A WILD ROBOT VIDEO!
Pray that our world won't suffer like in the movie.
It will change and we can't stop it
It will be worse.
The ai slop we have now will accelerate it.
Do this for httyd how all species and populations of dragons returned to the hidden world and lived under toothless rule
The book series and the movie really did take place in the global warming future.
I hope you also talk about why Longneck was the only goose who was civil with Roz and Brightbill.
Happy holidays Isaac! Thanks For this 🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️
