I put up with a girl that thought bikers were in the ceiling waiting for her to fall asleep so they could burn her in her bed. She thought 'they' had installed speakers to imitate my voice on all the telephone poles and that I was a corrupt undercover cop paid off by said bikers to get her for being a 'rat'. Her great looks kept me around for a while until I couldn't bear the crazy any more.

I think people are missing the point here, this woman is so detached from reality, she actually thinks she will walk from this, her behavior is nonchalant. Her tone of voice is a key factor here. Even when she said she loves him, It ended as a question. This is what happens when a girl is so self entitled that she abused her boyfriend and still continues to act like what she did was self defense. This is another Jodi Arias.

From a female perspective, it's incredibly odd that she's not bothering to keep that robe closed while testifying she was physically assaulted multiple times. Considering she supposedly just went through a traumatic experience, the natural reaction (to me) would be to keep yourself covered i.e. not exposed in any way to make yourself feel more safe and protected. It's a small detail but her showing her bra for large portions while retelling supposed assaults during this interrogation is quite suspicious. To be clear, I don't think it's a seduction attempt or anything, but a subtle body language tell that she didn't go through the traumatic events she's describing.

That makes me both sick to my stomach and angry af because she almost got away with it. It’s so sad that his family had to be the one’s to get this to the courts so the truth could come thru.

I have no idea why he decided to stay up with her for so long. I guess she was pretty, that's it? My good buddy had a gf who was constantly abusing him, physically and emotionally. They lasted 4 years together, that's a long time to sustain everyday domestic abuse. Funny enough he is a big muscled guy with a gentle soul. She was exactly the same, very pretty but jealous and aggressive all the time. On time he managed to get out to meet with me after 3 years of her holding him "hostage" (she wouldn't let him go out on his own other than to work). We went to a grab a bite and have a beer, she found us there and started kicking his butt in front of everyone else. He took her back home, I walked with them, it was like 30min of constant punching, shouting, crying etc. I told him he should break up with her, he said "I know", he still managed to last another year. Then he met his now-wife and when he decided to end the long-term abusing relationship, she started to threaten his now-wife. Luckily she found a new guy pretty quick and she is now abusing him, and I mean it - I saw that in person when they were shopping together.

Her behaviour is not one to be tolerated and men who fail to leave or ignore red flags usually end up in a dangerous situation. I had an Ex like this, I tried for a little then left because I saw where this was going. I'm not the type of guy that would let a woman abuse me.
I left and never looked back. For 2 years she tried to call, text, email all she could and I blocked and ignored her. That's the solution to women like this. Now he's dead unfortunately.

unfortunately I too was in a toxic dv relationship. I just wanted to make a comment about something Christian did that Courtney was saying he was "stalking" her that I believe isn't true...she was talking about how she kicked him out but he wouldn't leave and was hiding in the sofa in the elevator. speaking from the viewpoint of the less dominant person (I hate calling myself a victim), Courtney probably did kick him out of the apartment but he knew he couldn't actually leave because that would have enraged her even further. she would have accused him of all kinds of things like going out to a club, hooking up with another woman etc. he probably knew it was better to try to hide from other residents or hotel people in that couch because he was embarrassed of the real situation but Courtney knew all along he was there. she kept him on an invisible leash that he didn't allow himself the right to release himself from. besides, she made all the $ and he probably didn't have any money to go get himself a hotel room or anything.
one night I had to get away from my bf because he started drinking and I knew when that happened, his monster came out. but I knew I couldn't ACTUALLY leave because then I would have been accused of doing all those things I mentioned (except I would hook up with a man..lol) and there would have been hell to pay for things I didn't do. so it was just easier for me to get away from him by locking myself in my car and sleeping in the driveway. i know it sounds so stupid...I had actually been able to sneak my keys away from his possession and I didn't just truly leave?? please don't berate me in the comments..I have done it to myself enough. until you are in that situation, you could never understand. so to any women or men who have left their abusers, I'm proud of you!!

I understand completely, I was too myself in a abusive relationship even though I'm a guy. I will tell my story truthfully and unapologetically because I realize now that I never did anything to deserve it. So I had found out my ex boyfriend was cheating on me the whole entire time after us being together for awhile, I had went to lunch with my best friend and got a notification from his Facebook (Our emails were linked at one time because he said he wanted to check my social media and I could check his) So I look through this conversation between him and a girl and he was asking her out to the movie theater and saying he would change for her. It broke my heart so I confronted him about it and broke up with him. His reaction to me breaking up with him was to send voice messages saying "You're a piece of trash and now all I want to do is slit your throat and watch you bleed out and know I did that to you, for you being fucking stupid." I ignored it and told my mom who called his phone number and said "You said you're going to slit my kids throat?? You're a coward." I guess, that sparked something in him so he decided to show up at my house with what I now know was a knife in his pocket, screaming "Come face me then!!" My mom went outside with a weapon of her own, I remember to this day him reaching into his pocket and smiling in a way I've never seen before and said "Come down here Stacy, I have a surprise for you." I truly believe if I didn't finally get out or even called the cops on him that night, he would've most likely stabbed me to death. I have a restraining order on him now but I'm still traumatized to the point I flinch and apologize about everything. I know everything is okay but I always have this irrational fear he's going to show up to my house and finish me off. This isn't the only time dangerous things like this would happen either, he was abusive as hell and showed no remorse for being heartless and possibly soulless. He idolized serial killers, especially Jeffrey Dahmer. I have court soon and I'm still scared to be in the same room as him, because I have so much trauma from what he has done to me. So to those who feel like there is no escape from people like that just know when there's darkness, lights not far to follow. Be brave and be who you are.
