So you were in front of a LA Chase bank to begin with and somehow ended up at a NY Chase bank??
Haha you caught me doing UA-cam magic lol. I realized I forgot to shoot the intro in NY, so I shot the intro in LA, where I did the next couple of episodes. Whoops! The bills are actually from NY though.
My grandma gave me a silver sertificate when I was little so I have one in my collection. how much is it worth?
usually $1.50 - $2 if you sell to a shop
Lots of finds. Congratulations finding an old dollar. Nice video.
Great bill search congratulations on a silver certificate bill and other finds thanks for sharing silver pickers
Not sure why this was on my recommended but I'm glad it was, educational and entertaining! Thank you UA-cam algo gods 🔥:D
So glad you enjoyed it! Maybe we'll make a currency collector out of you ;)
Good finds
I'd research for any notable events that happened on the year of your 4th of July dollar. Having some interesting historical info will make that note even cooler IMO.
Yep! Did indeed!
One of my coworkers found a silver note at work. Some one paid for their stuff with it. Very cool find.
That's awesome
I don't know how you find star notes so easy because it's been almost a full year since the last time I seen a star note in any cash I get from anywhere they're getting very rare in Cincinnati Ohio for some reason I guess everyone's holding on to them
That's very interesting bc I've searched in NY, NJ, and CA and have found a fair amount of star notes in each geography
Incredible silver certificate find! I just picked up $1,000 in singles today for currency quest. Wish me luck! :)
Good luck!
Can you provide your list of notes that you are looking for to give me an idea of what I should be looking for as well?
Ie star notes, birthday notes, headstone notes, silver certificates, old notes, error notes etc
Nas.io/silverpicker has everything you need
Silver Picker, would you recommend keeping all star note bills since the Treasury is going to stop making star notes? Seems even the more common star notes will get rare as all the bills are taken out of circulation.
I’ve been keeping all of mine, not sure if it’ll be worth it tho. Definitely at least keep the ones in good condition
I wouldn't keep all of them, but any that have interesting SNs or are rare I would
A 1985 is not an oldie
Why not?
It's considered vintage so yes it is an oldie.
For bills, pre-2000 is hard to find
Says who?
You should create a 1.5" x 2" card to put in the side pockets of the pages to ID your bills.
As soon as I typed it you mentioned it...😂
As for the "TOMBSTONE" I would keep it as a placeholder with an *
Yep, that's how I am treating it. In the next episode or two you'll see the little notes :)
Iv got a $10 dollar gold certificate at work years ago. Just cpl weeks ago I got 3 $1 silver certificates as change from gas station.
That's wild. Amazing
i dont really like the cut before you found it. I'm not saying its fake or anything like that, I just prefer sped up video instead of cuts, makes it more clean
i'm defi not saying you planted it. I found a couple myself.
I'm with you man. Especially when hunting coins. I wanna see you open the roll not just pan back in with silver or the rare find. Makes it hard to believe.
What is on the stellar bill that's so exciting? I am just starting out and can't wait to learn more.!!
@@teresareza5683 its a silver certificate from 1957.
quite hard to find
Currency quest can trade hard money in Pasadena currency exchange I used to love this
ive found two star notes but they were both poor quality :( [i still kept them it was a $1 and a $2]
How much is that silver certificate worth?
The tombstone note found in this episode is no good in my opinion. I hope you find a good one soon!
Yep, I agree. Just a placeholder for now
18661766 BC/BCE? Maybe that IS a good tombstone.😂😂
I have $us $1 star notes but I live out the how to sell it its a very rear .
So do you tend to hold onto notes from the 1980's and older?
During my searches whenever I come across 1980s or older notes I keep them :)
@BrytonHitzfield-rl5bu thx you 👍
Yes, generally
I have 1$ bill (18x3)98 is the serial number I was shock to see that in my change from Mickey d's
I have one dollar bill blue seal 1954
The silver certificate🏆 came because someone turned ones into the bank. A teller not paying attention just counted it with others in a counting machine and there you go. I’m wondering if he or she would have pulled it if hand counting. This one is beat up which is noticeable.
Anyhow congratulations!🎉
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened. Couldn't have really gotten in any other way
Now I'll start off with I'm not an expert but if you look at the difference between the two different printings on the front one is blurred but the second printing over top of that line is not so I would say it's an error and a really cool one at that and it may make it worth a $100 or better? Again not a professional
Hope you're right lol
@Silverpicker okay just wondering what my Christmas bonus is going to look like this year
Look up featuremans past before you support him
All my years watching youtube and hunting 7 different banks at 1000 bucks a piece I have never found or seen anyone find a silver certificate. Wierd how that got in there. Banks legally can't even take them anymore and they won't even send them to the fed. You are a lucky one for sure. Go grab a lottery ticket
Are you sure banks can’t take them? As long as the Fed printed it, it can still be used. As far as I’m aware.
@G.F yes I'm sure used to work in one
Banks can still take silver certificates, they are just not redemable for silver any longer but are still worth $1
Yep, I picked up a collection dump at that bank at the same time and it had a few silver certs. I suspect the local branch's sorting machine missed it somehow or something like that and it slipped in. That's my current theory

Every serial number was a blur on my phone.Fault??Had to skip through most of the vid
If you click on the gear icon you can increase the resolution of the video. UA-cam sometimes decreases the quality if you have poor wifi in that moment
Shady, to say the least. A video cut right before you pull a silver certificate… out of a BEP strap? No, sir.
Sorry not buying it.
Looking back, I have no idea why I made that cut there. Def looks suspicious and if I didn't film it myself I'd feel the same way as you. Dumb mistake but it is indeed a real find. Also, later in the vid I do say that it must have been wrapped at the local branch. Could not have come from BEP or Fed
Birthday notes are month day year nothing else if its not in this order its a nothing note and thats not a tombstone note
In the US we do Month, day, year but in Europe it is day, month, year and an iternational date is written year, month, day so there are other ways to do a birthday note
First off, banknotes don't come from the mint, they come from the BEP.2nd,not one you found was even close to being super rare
Who said they came from the mint?
@@SilverpickerYou did,at 7:08 of the video
@@667hodge Looks like I misspoke. You got me lol 🤷♂
This seems fake...
I agree lol but it isn't
