This was a nice educational day at the shop with Harry. For those of us who know these things already it's still fun to see everyone's process. Thanks!
Last year I recieved a set of silver bars with my last name on them for Christmas. I know they paid way over on the premium but I said nothing about that simply because the meaning behind it couldn't be priced. They are not even considered as part of my stack and I absolutely love them.
I will be forever thankful to you, you changed my life I will continue to speak on your behalf for the world to hear that you saved me from huge financial debt with just a little trade, thank you Jihan Wu you're such a life saver

One thing I would add that no one mentioned, with the acid, is it does go bad after a year so. If you have 14-month-old acid replace it because it's more than likely no good anymore.
Felipe, you raised a wonderful son. I know you are a great man too. I was lucky enough to have met Adrian at a coin show in Florida. Great to see King Richard too. Love the shows and hearing Harry share his knowledge.
Man, I love these Harry's coin shop videos! Looking at current inventory and talking prices never gets old. I wonder what he's selling the constitutional silver for? Thank you!
I found out my LCS does not have any way of testing metals and I know of someone that bought a fake coin from them which they did give him his money back. I am very reluctant to purchase anything except 90% or brand new sealed tubes from them. Wish you all were closer!
Keep up the good work. You guys are amazing and I have to say trustworthy in this industry that’s a rarity. I’m in South Carolina and am very envious of your customers to have such a great group of men that have your back.
From my observation and historical market pattern, there might be a bit of turbulence in the market coming up, but here's the deal: Trying to guess what's going to happen next is less important than spreading your bets when trading and thinking long term. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Laura Brockman whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I am always happy to hear from this shop although I am in france actually - Learning bits from the american market and numimatic philosophy on the other side of the ocean is priceless - Most of the coins we do not know but still happy to learn about grading - Thanks for these 😇
Stacker from Europe here. Love to watch your channel, especially the episodes in Harry´s shop. Decent people, a delight to watch. What´s both entertaining and insightful to me are the differences I perceive between US and EU. For you, the Eagles are the most common bullion to stack, despite a usually mentionable premium. We have our "locals" in EU - Britannia, Philharmonics and (less common) the armenian Arche Noah (actually produced and sold by a german mint with concession from Armenia). But we fancy Maples, Krugerrands or Kangaroos, too. Prices are all the same, more or less. But Eagles? Usually available, usually the same or maybe slightly higher prices, but not that sought after as bullion. Not considered a common bullion coin over here, as far as I see. Is that an european thing, or are the Eagles not that popular outside US in general? A lot of coins from collecting series, e.g. such as Kookaburra, are only slightly higher in price than the common bullions. Efficiently stacking the metal AND having some collector´s delight easily possible - as long as you don´t go for completing series way backwards, some older years may have a substantial premium, then. Keep up the good work, always a gain to watch your episodes!
Never gets old, ESPECIALLY RIGHT BEFORE FUN SHOW, to hear be careful !! Great heads up for newer people. Even experienced collectors can be ripped off. Going to local shops can be safer than online buying. Im old now, wishing all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year... and of course happy collecting to all !!! ❤
Can you explain the acid test for silver? I'm never quite sure on the results. Some say use the silver acid. And, I have seen people use 14k acid to test it.
My experience with the acid is, it works with sterling (.925) to 9999 fine silver best. Absolutely use the silver acid, and the darker red your result the more pure the silver is. I let the acid sit on the stone for quite some time, then wipe it with a pure white paper towel, then you can see the color best. When it comes to any silver under sterling I have had inconsistent results I don't recommend the acid test for Constitutional silver, at least with the acid I bought.
@Steelythestacker Thank you! The jewelry I tested with the silver acid turns the paper towel pinkish. I saw Robert Ferguson, a California beach detectorist using 14 k acid. Wasn't sure what that was about. Appreciate the heads up.
@@RandolphRelicRecovery Don't quote me on it but I would guess you are dealing with a sterling if it's that color. If you have a 999 bullion silver coin you don't mind scratching on a stone, you should try it and you can see the difference. One other thing I said in a different post as well, keep in mind that acid only stays fresh for about a year. If you have older acid, more than a year old, you should replace it.
Hola a Sr. Gomez! Tiene un nino muy intelligente y distingushed. And thanks SD for the wonderful tour that I cannot take being on the east coast. I look forward to every video -it's fun to occasionally watch you older stuff as it shows your maturation to today.
I love these videos .. i wish i lived near Mr.Harrys shop . Id be there all the time lol. I got into stacking silver a few months ago and these videos are always educational!
Sadly I’m in the U.K. so can’t just pop to Harry coin shop. However I’m going to be travelling the US soon so I will definitely come then. Where are you based ? Awesome channel by the way.. always watching!
One of my customers is a lead refinery. A by-product of lead refining is silver. They had 15 tonnes of it on site! I commented that the site didn't seem super secure, they said "well who's going to steal 15 tonnes of silver!"
Hi Silver Dragons, could you please do a video about buying coins on Etsy? What are the pros and cons? There seem to be a lot of good deals or they could be scams. I just don't know. Thanks for all you do, Love your content!
When I started stacking gold and silver, I didn't know anything about testing. Soon after watching a video about counterfeits, I started getting paranoid about my gold and silver and learned as much as I could about the methods of counterfeiting, and tests to detect them. After an accurate scale and precision vernier, but before you get to expensive verifiers and XRF machines, there are a lot of different tests that can be done, many can be done cheaply or for free... the venerable acid test to test the quality of the metal, the ice test that tests for thermal conductivity of the metal, a magnet tests for an iron core, the ping test to test for resonant frequency of the metal, the magnetic slide tests for paramagnetic or diamagnetic properties, the water displacement density test to measure the average density of an metal... Any one of these methods can be fooled but not all of them together. And lastly, if you have a good relationship with your coin or bullion dealer, they will often test your precious metals for you.
If i didn't forget anyone, 11 family members received silver from me this year. My family celebrated Christmas this last Saturday instead of on Christmas day. Both coins and bullion.
I'm a sportscard collector with just a few ounces of silver I picked up from Harry's shop a couple summers ago after watching this channel. The sports card community says the same about cards. "Buy the card. Not the grade."
It can take years for milk spots to show up in silver coins--even those that have been slabbed. Remember that the contamination occurs at the mint. If the cleaning process is compromised, the coin/round could very well exhibit milk spots eventually. Once a contaminated coin/round is exposed to air, the damage has been done. That is why 70's may turn into 69's over time.
So here is my question. If I have a sealed tube of silver double eagles and a slabbed high rated silver coin 60 or 70, will I get a premium for that slabbed coin when I walk into a coin dealer? Adrian is a class act. Smart, capable and decent. I wish I was in the Pacific Northwest. Instead I am in mystery drone country.
The Mercs are definitely my favorite too! “The winged lady” Harry is one of my favorite humans ! Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah! God bless you all .
This is why I'm more comfortable dealing with the SLV ETF. No premiums, no fakes or purity/weight issues and no lowballing come time to sell. Market price whether buy or sell. Way easier for beneficiaries to deal with as well. No unscrupulous dealers looking to take advantage of people who may not know what they have.
I bought my first 1 oz Silver Kookaburra today. Now I have four fine ounces of silver at home already.
Welcome to the journey my friend I started stacking silver 4 months ago and 3 days ago I bought my first gold 1 oz buffalo coin keep on pushing
