    Sir why we have to excit the electron by giving energy through photon from flash light source and getting back the same photon energy when the excited electron comes to ground state, while some energy from flash light is wasted, why not we collect and concentrate the photon emmitted from flash light directly so that no wastage of energy and no use of crystal. ( I am sorry if this question is silly)

    • @ADTWstudy
      @ADTWstudy  3 роки тому +1

      There is a concept called constructive interference and destructive interference of light... You read on that and you will understand why they do so...

      Photons are produced by Ruby crystal by absorbing light energy from flash tube...how can we remove Ruby crystal itself? It is the source of laser...flash tube only stimulates the process

    This process cannot cut the transparent Materiels.

    • @natewilburn301
      @natewilburn301 3 місяці тому +1

      Generally true but if very high power outputs like that of multi kW fiber lasers are used they can still cut through transparent materials.
      Assuming most transparent materials like glass transmit around 90% of incoming light and assuming maybe a 2 kW laser system it can still apply 200W to the material being enough to cut all be it not very efficient.

    You examples of materials laser can cut industrially is so misleading and too limited, other videos on UA-cam show that, glass and steel including virtually everything depending on thickness is industrially being cut with laser cutting.
