Great video👍🏻 we’d be there in about 3 weeks - looking very forward to some snorkeling at brewers beach!
Not such a good beach for snorkeling. Your better off trying Coki or go over to St John, Trunk Bay.

Love the places your drone can take us! Great footage once again!
I also use to love going to that beach. I actually lived at Thatch Farm back in the 70's and would walk to the beach. Thatch Farm was nice at one time but got very run down after awhile. They even had a play theater there at one time.
I remember there use to be a beach just down from John Brewer's. Can't remember the name. They had a restaurant and bar. I have so many fond memories of my life on St Thomas. 1973 to 2007. 🥰🌴💃
Where was the theater located?
It was on the Thatch Farm property. They would have plays and other artistic functions. I'm sorry, I can't remember the guys name that was in charge. He was a local guy.
It was a large old barn type building. I think it was finally distroyed by a fire. It was ready to fall down at that point. It was to the right of the main entrance of the hotel rooms. I lived in the cottages to the left of the main entrance of the bar and hotel rooms.
@@georgiagonzales3769 I lived at Thatch around 1988 maybe early 1989. I don't remember a barn structure, at least not anything above 1 story, or anything that looked like a traditional barn. I might be wrong. It did get badly run down, crack was really big at the time I was there.
The structure was already gone by 1980. You would have to talk to someone who lived in the area in the 70's to remember it. Once a guy named "Cowboy" took over in the 90's things really got from bad to worse. Unfortunate, cause in the early 70's it was nice. Especially the bar and pool area. There was even a library area.
Wow! So nostalgic. I remember going there all the time during college. My friend Lorraine and I performed once at the Reichold Center as well, as part of the choir. Thanks for allowing us abroad to experience and reminisce about the beautiful V.I.
My best friend's dad had a concrete company on the island and what he claimed was the largest dump truck on the island in the late 1970s. His driver was transporting dirt from the mountain to the end of the runway, and miscalculated a load dropping the dump truck into the runway just as he escaped safely. Of course they did not stop to get the truck. When you land there, you are landing on a dump truck. I never investigated the ruins and I didn't know about the caves until a few years ago at Brewers, at least seeing the ruins would interest me on a vacation to my teenage years' home. In 1979 Charlie's Angels "Love Boat Angels" did St. Thomas somewhat featuring the cruise ship wreck, and one scene they do on Brewer's with the short runway in the background, it is interesting to see the island then including many scenes in the old Virgin Isle Hotel.
Oh wow, what a great place that was... The Virgin Island Hotel.. Studio 54. 🙌💃🌴🥰
The name of the tree with the pink flowers are Oleander. One has to be very careful because although the flowers are pretty, Oleanders are poisonous. Try to avoid touching the plants or breaking the branches which produces sap. Very pretty but admire without touching.
The name of the hill coming into the airport that was shaved down is Sarah Hill.
Omg can't wait
Good video.
Do you have a video about hiking to the cave? I would love to do that on my next visit to St Thomas!
I do...here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/Utpo5Ef0FWU/v-deo.html
Myself and a group of 10+ people are scheduled to hike up to the Brewer's Bay Trail to the Cave at 8AM on Sunday Jun13th. All are welcomed to join us. The trail is very steep and NOT for the faint of heart. Please wear sneakers or shoes with good grip if joining us and plan to go for a swim when we get back down! Comment or e-mail me at mblydenvlogs@icloud.com with any questions.
Nice!
What about some Bordeaux farm tours. Just another option for content.
thanks for the suggestion!
I'll contact some of my friend from down there and make a video to post within the next 4 weeks!
How do I do one of your tours? Coming there over Xmas.
Good day, please email info@thehyghlyteco.com with th dates you plan to be here and we can go from there.
