Nice to see you firing out the content Timo, and this one is gold
@@Steve_D1974 thank you! I always appreciate your support and words 🙏
I consider Egoiste as one of my all time favorites. Testa di Moro (former known as Incense Suede) is a fragrance that i first smelled in 2018 ans since then , i have it in my wishlist. A great one. French lover is the same thing. Another one that i love but i dont have a bottle yet. Nice video!
@@SquallMonteZ Egoiste really is so good! I also used to have the Incense-Suede version and it was really great. I can’t remember if it was any different to Testa di Moro. And thank you!
Egoiste is my all time favorite! And that Escada pour homme is something magical. Truly one of the few discontinued fragrances that I'm sorry for. ❤
@@InterceptorOfDoom Both are truly excellent indeed!
Escada Pour Homme & Escada Magnetism are my favorites from the house 👍
@@larrythompkins3319 Both wonderful! I also like Casual Friday a lot!
First time watching and I subbed right away! I enjoyed the video and you have impeccable taste whenever it comes to perfumes! Much ❤️
@@raytang76 Thank you very much! I’m happy to hear that 🙏
Escada is very special!
@@tolis287 Glad to hear! To me as well!
Nice list! Many of my favorites in there too, French Lover, Poivre Samarcande, Testa do Moro. Now I want to try that Tom Ford, I’ve been on a patchouli kick lately.
@@cheapimitation2242 Thank you and great to hear you share many of them too! Patchouli Absolu to me is brilliant. Sadly so hard to find nowadays though
Patchouli absolu is truly a fantastic fragrance , I have a bottle that I save for special occasions… I also adore the original oud wood fragrance but TF have reformulated it so I went searching and found one which is a hybrid of Patchouli absolu AND oud wood fragrance, it is amazing it’s by armaf uniq and it is called oud forever
Hi Timo. Very helpful video. Thanks. Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense is one of my favorites as well. Have a great day.
@@henrythornton7931 Prada is great! thank you for watching and I wish you a great day too
It's great to see your faves-thanks for sharing! I actually haven't heard of some of these. Definitely want to try Chanel's egoiste because I LOVE sandalwood and I haven't been able to find fragrances that hit that note well
@@triofan9 My pleasure and thanks for watching! I’ve tried a lot of different sandalwood fragrances and I keep coming back to Egoiste
Great list! I, too, love many of these.
@@ericmiller2556 That’s nice to hear! Thank you!
You inspired me talking about Egoiste, think I'll wear in today 👍
@@steveb8269 Egoiste is always a great choice!
Nawab Of Oudh Intensivo has been on my to-try list for a while, I’ll be sure to pick up a decant when the weather is no longer below freezing here.
In the meantime I think I’ll dig out my sample of African Rooibos for tomorrow.
Thank you for sharing!
@@rubikscubed731 My pleasure! Thank you for watching and I hope you get some joy out of those fragrances
Great list ! I also agree that it is really sad that the Prada Amber intense is discontinued ! I owned and loved that one at one point. I need to try the Ormonde Jayne soon, never had the chance to try any of them yet. I think you may also like Patricia di Nicolai New Your Intense if you haven't yet tried it. It has a classic vintage men's fragrance vibe but with a modern twist. Very well blended. Great channel !
@@chris.p88 Thank you for the very nice and kind feedback! New York Intense is really great and I do own a bottle of it. Definitely has a classic vibe and I love it!
Solid selection of fragrances. Had to follow right away.
@@sandileshongwe4750 thank you very much!
All great choices. Nice seeing other people liking Testa Di Moro. Very underrated fragrance.
@@perroli I appreciate it thank you! Testa Di Moro is truly amazing!
A great list - thanks for sharing. I wore Egoiste as an only fragrance for years in the 90's and early 00's, I still have half an old bottle, then later French Lover very soon after it came out for a few years. French Lover is essentially the dry down of Miss Dior as it was made as an homage to the famous scent worn by both Malle's and Bourdon's mothers. The old bottles of Miss Dior Eau de Cologne can be even better than French Lover and totally unisex (unless they've gone off which is the perennial problem with old bottles!) - the opening and base are emphasied and the middle florals are dialled back heavily. Agree that Knize Ten is one of the greatest leathers you can get, and wear it regularly. For Patchouli my go to is the Santa Maria Novella one.
@@samgrant83 thank you! I actually had no idea about that Miss Dior part. I think I’ve actually never even tried it! Knize Ten is a 10/10 for me too and I feel that I should have included in the list but I still feel that these 10 picks can’t be far from the truth for me
great Timo, am glad you mentioned Salvatore Ferragamo Testa di Moro
@@miles-178 thanks Milos and nice to see you!
New subscriber here. I'm definitely with you on Escada Pour Homme. I have 2 × half bottle 2.5's & 1 sealed 4.2 + bodywash, aftershave and deodorant. I love that orange spice boozy cognac!
Chris from Scentland influenced me to buy this in one of his earlier vids. Saw it was discontinued 8 years ago and stocked up.
Prada L'Homme Intense is still my favorite from that house, but Prada Amber Intense is solid, and the most unique Prada I've smelled.
If you like Prada Amber Intense, Escada PH, Lalique PH and Amouage Jubilation 25, I highly recommend Zaharoff Signature Pour Homme if you haven't already tried it. Thier are elements of all 4 in ZSPH.
@@larrythompkins3319 I appreciate the subscribe thank you! Oh yes Chris is very cool and has a great taste 👍
Prada does have actually quite many good ones in my opinion.
And I’ve tried Zaharoff Signature Pour Homme couple times when it came out so it’s been a long time now. But I enjoyed it and I could definitely see myself owning a bottle if it would be easier to get delivered here to where I live 😀
Great list!
@@speedwolf5212 thank you!
Such great great choices! I have EGOÏSTE and Habit Rouge EDT, watched this clip amd I wanna try my nose on the Hermessence lines.
@@parischampbkk Thank you and I’m glad to hear you like them too! The Hermessence line is wonderful but they are bit too expensive in my opinion
Awesome jacket bro.
@@ledovejpatek8803 Thank you! It’s one of my favourite jackets actually. At the moment bit too cold to wear it outside though 😀
I sampled Nawab of Oudh after hearing you talk about it in another video. I usually don't go for fresh perfumes but I love how it's bright but deep. The creaminess of the florals sort of reminds me of Carnal Flower. Might pick up a decant or bottle for the summer.
@@5ystemError Good to hear if you find it pleasant. Everything about it just works for me and that exact fresh but deep quality of it it is wonderful
…enjoyed this Timo…love Habit Rouge edt, also the edp, which i had first, also Prive and now warming-up to the parfum…been looking for a 50ml of the Amber Intense for years! lol, because i much prefer the aesthetic proportions of the size with the metal plate…eager to sample Patchchouli Absolute as i consider more patchouli options…🇨🇦
@@jamesnash7262 thank you! I do also love Habit Rouge Edp and actually own that too but to me the edt feels the most ”Habit Rouge”. I hope you will find yourself a botlle of Amber Pour Homme Intense!
I don't know why I see you and instantly think of James Bond lol. You look like someone who could really pull off any fragrance. Do you have a specific signature fragrance that you like to wear more than the others? I know it must be hard to choose
@@ninacarmen8433 Oh really! Haha I love that 😁 But I do struggle with some fragrances for sure as for example some fragrances with very lactonic, milky qualities in them.
I would love to have a signature fragrance but I maybe own bit too many fragrances to be able have such fragrance. French Lover is maybe closest thing to that as I’ve also finished a 20ml decant before this bottle.
Might wanna try that Hermes, is it an all year rounder ?
@@tinotendaspace I simply love it! And yes I think so as it’s so woody so works nicely in the colder months too
I appreciate your reviews. In yesterday's Etat Libre D’Orange fragrance review you seemed to want to distance your self somewhat from the “cult” surrounding that scent, formerly known as Tom of Finland, now rebadged as Clean Suede. It is the cult of a harmless, tongue in cheek, over the top, cartoonesk depiction of men appreciating men. Think Querelle, Jean Genet. It is a commodified part of today’s (pop) culture. You can get a coffee mug or bag with T of F art on it in any museum shop. Persolaise Perfumes gave his take on this perfume, he is a straight male, and he didn’t spend a part of his review apologizing for “well google it … scary...all that kind of stuff…” Making statements like that takes away from your professionalism in reviewing, in my opinion. It is unnecessarily distracting from the content. In this day and age no man should have to feel the urge to publicly distance him self from a possible unwanted association with “gay”, regardless of his sexual identity. I mean, seriously, who cares. That being said, Tom of Finland would have approved of your attire ;)
@@thatman-t8f thank you for an honest feedback and I do appreciate that. I did want to be careful with my words in that video and I do consider that I only commented about the art part. And the art is not something I consider as ”my thing” so I just wanted to give my thoughts how it connects with the actual perfume or at least how it feels to me when I wear it. But I understand your point and thank you for letting me know about it :)
@@tinkeviitanen You are totally right in that respect: it is cartoonesk but, indeed, also objectifying, a stereotyping “pin up” style, “artistic” but not necessarily stylish or tasteful. And in that sense you are 100% entitled to distance your self from it. I may have misinterpreted “sexual identity” and “it is simply not my taste”. Apologies if I did. Anyway: your reviews are clear, to the point, you know how to convey the character of a perfume in a comprehensive story, free of hypes. And, weirdly maybe, I would love to hear your take on the new Trussardi release, Primo? I think it would kind of fit your bill.
@@thatman-t8f Thank you and I do apologize too as sometimes I might not be clear enough with my outcome using a language that’s not my main one. I actually haven’t tried Primo yet as I think it’s not at least yet being sold in any stores here. I will give it a go if I cross ways with it somewhere 🙏
French Lover is discontinued btw.
@@abcap2011 Oh really? Wow, that’s not good news
@ no it’s not , gotta have a back up bottle for me
@ Good plan!
Tom Ford have discontinued all their best masculines; for some reason, Mr. Ford ran his brand to the ground and Estee Lauder appears similarly inclined to finish the process. Axing stuff like Patchouli Absolu is criminal(ly stupid) and so are the asking prices of what few bottles remain these days.
Have you had a chance to try Escada pour Homme EdP?
Great list, thank you! I also have a request: if you (still) have the original Donna Karan for Men, please review it! I only have the subsequent flanker ”Unleaded” which I understand is very similar (and was available in 100ml bottle unlike the original).
@@drewanstore5550 Yes sadly TF fragrances has suffered a total twist in the style and definitely not my cup of tea anymore. I had a decant of Escada PH Edp. It was equally as lovely and maybe even slightly more round but I didn’t notice much difference.
Oh wow enjoy your Unleaded! I always wanted to try it. I actually sold my vintage DK Men and also DK Fuel For Men and I think that I should kept at least one of them 😅
That’s relieving to hear about the Escada EdP - FOMO is real with these scents that are practically extinct, so hearing it’s not all that different from the EdT sets my mind at ease (I would still like to find it, mind).
”Enjoying” the Unleaded is difficult as I know I will never be able to replenish should I run out - so I mostly just admire the outrageous bottle still 99% full. I respect your ruthless approach of axing stuff you don’t find absolutely necessary… But yeah dude, you SHOULD have kept either the DK Men or the rerelease. Did you find them distinct from each other, or more of a case of same stuff in different bottles?
@@drewanstore5550 Yes I personally wouldn’t lose my sleep over the Escada PH Edp but it sure was awesome.
Yes I’ve ”forced” myself to sell some fragrances to be able to make some change for not having so many fragrances anymore but there has been few that I’ve realized afterwards that maybe I should have kept them but I guess it’s alright 😁
Dk Men and Fuel were really similar. In the 90’s Dk Men I got more mossy elements and some kind of bit more ”dirty” aspect. Or if not dirty but it had little bit of something that wasn’t as polished as in the Fuel For Men.
any perfume that smells like weed?
@@remotemanagement4686 I’m sure there are some like that out there but from these none does
French lover is a disaster. Amazing scent but poor performance and it’s been watered down . The price didn’t change though.
@@dimitriorlov4542 It could be stronger yes I agree. On me it does work well enough though so I guess I can consider myself somewhat lucky
The new batches are really bad.. also have you tried Fièvre Verte by Kilian ?
@ yeah I’ve heard so unfortunately. I actually haven’t tried that Kilian yet
