Very well explained, I have a query, exactly how much time does it take the syrup to come to 1 thread consistency after the first boil as I want to make mysore pak
Depends on the quantity of sugar you are using 😊 i would suggest you start checking from the 2nd min once your sugar dissolves and has begun to thicken if you are a beginner.
Thanks for this video. What if I have 2 string consistency and want 1 string? Do I need to throw away my sugar syrup and try again anew or can I rescue the same. Thanks
Unfortunately it can't be reversed... And I don't think you should take that risk too... But you can use the syrup to make a sweet that calls for two string consistency..
One more Q, I made mysore pak & it turned out a bit grainy.. Like biting sugar crystals... Not smooth.. So what exactly happened.. I did get the 1 thread consistency with 1 cup sugar & a quarter cup water.. Please Help😒
Thank you so much for your video, I found it very helpful to make my sweet meats 😊

@@TomatoBlues Thanks for your quick response. Very helpful
How long it will take for 1 string consistency 250 grams sugar, please confirm.
The time depends on your flame. But you need to start testing 3 mins after the sugar has dissolved fully

Hi Meera you cooked the mixture for longer time than required dear
@@TomatoBlues U mean the sugar syrup or the whole mysore pak mixture at the end?
The mixture at the end
Thank U so much for Ur prompt replies.. Helps a lot
I burned my finger touching the syrup 😩
It's recommended that you wet the finger slightly before testing
What do we do if the sugar syrup gets more thickened???
The recipe won't work.
@@TomatoBlues I mean can we rectify it???
Nope. I won't recommend it.
