Most men would just scratch their heads and call for help! That’s why homesteading isn’t cost effective for everyone‼️ This is an innovating channel that I love to watch.
Good Morning, Tyler and Callie! Installing the Scale! The Load Bars! Chipping Cement! To Store for Cement! The Cement Mixer! It’s a lot of work, but the result will be worth the work! Pouring Cement and Leveling! The Entrance ramp! Waiting for Drying of Cement! Great was really a Great Video! The Work was all worth it! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Concrete projects are SO satisfying "when they are done"!!! Pure Misery during the process, lol Great Job!! The cattle will love ya forever for this!!!
Amazing! The mind of an engineer/architect/farmer/artist at work. Gotta give you a real feeling of satisfaction to stand back and look at a job well done, Tyler. We sure like watching it all come together.
You are very creative and resourceful! Great job on the concrete pads, imo. Cows should appreciate your efforts to keep them safe. That’s if cows can appreciate.
My father was an master of cement to concrete and he would have loved to see a flat shovel used as a trowel. Worked perfectly! You do remind me of him as you both think the same way, best described as gather your thoughts than hop skip jump to the conclusion. It can be instantaneous but usually happens on it's own schedule so you have to be patient but ready.
Hi to FTR and everyone else too😊😊Always an incredible job on your experience work❤❤thanks for sharing and sending prayers everyone stay safe! 😊God Bless You All Hugs And Prayers❤❤
My husband and I have been watching you for quite some time, we love watching your videos. We have been running a small ranch for the last 37 years and can totally relate to your content. FYI, please use gloves when you are working with concrete. This advice comes from personal experience. My husband had to spend 3 days in the hospital on iv treatment from concrete poisoning from forming a pour without gloves.
Good morning Tyler so glad you are getting you scales fixed into the shute its awesome to see how you use your head to think out ways to help you build things you need
hey tyler that ramp looks great you did a great job .....is never easy to do things that need to be done but you did great. the cows are going to love it . thanks for taking us along on this project it turned out nice , from seattle washington
Those were my thoughts too, but I wondered if that texture would be too light and eventually wear down smooth after many cow's hooves trampling across it.
You remind me of the younger version of my husband….very engineering minded with great innovation vision and fabrication/building skills!! Such an asset to also being a caring and competent cattleman! Keep up the great work; we really enjoy your channel!! 👍🏼👌🏼
Tyler, another great video. It is amazing to me how resourceful and creative you are on sooooo many different things. A Jack of many trades and a master at all of them. I am entertained and educated every time I was one of your videos. Ranch is growing and flourishing with you. Your grandpa would be proud of you. I know I am.
Great video. Liked seeing you use the striker board for leveling your concrete. Don't see that so much anymore. That's why there are so many ponds on your concrete after it rains. Looks good. Don't worry about changing chutes, Tyler would figure it out. Always good videos.
Great work Tyler. U r so very Creative and it Always shows. Making it Happen, Good Bad or Indifferent shows ur willing to attempt on making things better for the Cows. I Appreciate that so much. Keep up the great work, and Keep it Moving!
Tyler, you have got to be a jack of ALL trades, I have not seen you fail doing anything on your farm. You Rock ...... love looking for your videos........btim 🔨🛠🔨⚒
I consider myself pretty smart when it comes to things. I have been told that I have an engineering way of thinking. Now I know that you have an engineer way of thinking ➕ the added benefit of growing up with your father and Grandfather. Some knowledge goes beyond knowing something very well and you have that. Knowledge plus caring is very powerful combination........😊
I do concrete for a living Tyler and you did a great job! Sometimes the smaller more custom jobs in a tight environment are much harder then pouring huge slabs out in the open. I love what you chose to use to add traction I think it looked very good. We have a tool we use when we pour slabs at farms that has 2 wire mesh rollers that we use to finish the concrete. It leaves a good texture and adds traction.
Looks great man! Another FTR project win. That scale is going to be sooo nice to have. Especially if you sell any cattle off the farm, instead of the sale barn.
No one is an expert at first. I always hate to hear people say I can't do it. You just got to drive in and try. Make mistakes and learn from them. I think you did an excellent job on the ramps.
Would it be proactive to the next wet period in California to use the loader bucket and scrape half of the now dry dirt from the holding pen? Make a wet weather recovery pile and tarp what you remove for future drying needs? Just a thought. Farm management is endless. Your killing this. Love watching all your chores.
Farmer Tyler...You did a great job on this project !! You always have the safety of your animals in mind when making something they will need. That's why I really enjoy all your videos ! My Dad was the same way. Thanks for taking me along ! 😊🐂🐂😊
Those ramps should work just fine and not be impossible to remove if you ever get a new chute. One suggestion though, perhaps you could do what we do in cold areas to assist with grip on ice and just sprinkle some sand/gravel on top of the setting concrete? You get a rough surface that gives perfect grip and since the cows don't walk around on it constantly it shouldn't affect their hooves.
You never fail to entertain Tyler. Just think, one day you'll wake up and look around and see that all these "lil jobs" are all done and the only thing you have to do is the daily chores. (yeah right)
Just a note for future concrete mixing. You want to add Just enough water to hydrate the concrete. The more water you add decreases the strength of the mix as well as you will get more cracking. A lot of people want to add to much water to make it flowable. Makes easy to work and level but not for the life of the concrete. The other thing is you want to use a wood or magnesium float for the initial leveling and finishing it allows the top of the concrete to breath and excess water to evaporate. The steel trowel seals off the top and allows you to create a smooth finish. Allow what is called bleed water to come to the surface and evaporate mostly away before using the steel trowel. A dry sub grade can effect the way this all happens as well. Wetting the sub grade lightly can be helpful. Weather conditions will effect things a lot as well. Hopefully this will be helpful information and I didn't get to technical.
For texture on things like sidewalks they just use a stiff push broom. Just wait for the concrete to get stiff and then drag the broom across the surface. Makes that nice rough surface that's hard to slip on. Also, an edge trowel will put a nice rounded edge on the slab so the edges won't chip away over time.
You Did that good, only what is missing at the exit ramp is peace of head board to make that concrete thick enough,it may crack at the edge, but it will work anyway for shure.
I'm no construction person but if you did get a new larger shoot in sure you could buy a concrete blade for your saw and possibly cut some of the new concrete away.
Great job! I was watching some of your older videos of when you helped a heifer deliver her calf. Lately I noticed you don’t have to do that. They pretty much do it by themselves. I’m thinking it’s cause you feed them well and they get all their needed vitamins and minerals, don’t you think? When was the last time you needed to assist a cow during delivery?
Most men would just scratch their heads and call for help! That’s why homesteading isn’t cost effective for everyone‼️ This is an innovating channel that I love to watch.
YOUR ADDING THOSE LITTLE PARTS TO SAVE CONCRET, BRINGS BACK MEMORIES WHEN I HELPED MY DAD BUILD A STONE WALL

"It's going to be really nice when it's done" is one of my fav comments to get through tough goin', especially road construction.
Concrete projects are SO satisfying "when they are done"!!! Pure Misery during the process, lol Great Job!! The cattle will love ya forever for this!!!
Exactly!

My experience is that cows can appreciate and do. They are just past masters at concealing this from the farmer. 😊
FTR congratulations from Georgia USA on hitting the 103k subscribers mark ‼️
Thank you!

Use what you have, reuse/repurpose to meet the need, make it sturdy, straight, animal friendly and voila you have a farmer! Great job!
Good morning Tyler, can't wait to see what you get into in this video
Looks nice Tyler!
It was good to help you with the concrete project today. 😃
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video and I hope you have a great weekend
Hi to FTR and everyone else too😊😊Always an incredible job on your experience work❤❤thanks for sharing and sending prayers everyone stay safe! 😊God Bless You All Hugs And Prayers❤❤

You did a wonderful job Tyler keep it up. I love your videos. May God be with you
Job well done Tyler
You have made so much progress since we began watching you about a year ago. Pete at Just A Few Acres recommended your channel and we're glad he did.
Good Job!
always great f tyler
When you talked about concrete I was expecting a ready-mix truck . Glad to see the way you did it
You mixed the concrete the "old fashioned way" - by hand !!
I was shouting use the spade!!😅😅 nice job.
You forgot to get a trowel.
Good morning Tyler so glad you are getting you scales fixed into the shute its awesome to see how you use your head to think out ways to help you build things you need
Its cool watching you use the shovel as a trowel
hey tyler that ramp looks great you did a great job .....is never easy to do things that need to be done but you did great. the cows are going to love it . thanks for taking us along on this project it turned out nice , from seattle washington
Nice job looks good 👍. A stiff broom sweeping across works well for giving concrete some texture and ruffed up the surface.
Those were my thoughts too, but I wondered if that texture would be too light and eventually wear down smooth after many cow's hooves trampling across it.
I think they call that "broom finish" and works well to give a non-ßlip finish !!
Non-slip !!
What an awesome job. It looks amazing. Have a great weekend.
Lots of work, great job as usual!😊😊😊
I love how creative you are and how you think about the animals comfort and safety!

Looks great Tyler. You can allways take a jack hammer and easy bust that out if need be. Have a good day.
Hope you and the family have a great weekend!! Its always nice to have a solid working foundation.
Great video. Liked seeing you use the striker board for leveling your concrete. Don't see that so much anymore. That's why there are so many ponds on your concrete after it rains. Looks good. Don't worry about changing chutes, Tyler would figure it out. Always good videos.
Who knew that a square nosed shovel would make a great concrete screed !!!!!!! Great job Mr. Tyler, inventive as always!! Just love watching you.
Great work Tyler. U r so very Creative and it Always shows. Making it Happen, Good Bad or Indifferent shows ur willing to attempt on making things better for the Cows. I Appreciate that so much. Keep up the great work, and Keep it Moving!
Outstanding job. The new entrance and exit areas looked great!
You're making a rootin' tootin' shoot there Tyler.. You do damn good work! Love your vids...
You are a perfectionist and I don't think there is anything you can't design and build 👏👏👏
Thank you so much
Thanks Tyler,peace brother..!

Hey did a great job, looks good!! Love your channel, watch you all the time !!
Great job ! I’m getting some ideas from you as I set up my chute this spring. Thank you
I just love watching your channel. I learn so much. Keep up the good work.

Hi 👋🏽 Tyler., you will get it done no matter how 4-15-2023👍🏽❤
It's GREAT how you skillfully figure out how to get things done.
Looks great man! Another FTR project win. That scale is going to be sooo nice to have. Especially if you sell any cattle off the farm, instead of the sale barn.
Another great video 👍 Let us know how the exit ramp turned out next time. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend

Glad to see a how video on complete Concrete work... It enlightened me to understand the process better
I’m just in Awe of you doing everything alone. You need a farm hand at least part time. I guess at 70 I’m in awe of everyone thats does better than me
Farmer Tyler...You did a great job on this project !! You always have the safety of your animals in mind when making something they will need. That's why I really enjoy all your videos ! My Dad was the same way. Thanks for taking me along ! 😊🐂🐂😊
Looks good! Definitely Field Expedient! Good video!
This was quite interesting! I am impressed with how it turned out. Good job!
Thank you!
The c channel was a great idea, I will keep that one in my back pocket.
A gravel rake works good for texture. Also I would recommend a gallon jug for water. That way you get consistent batches.
Gone say before I get hate. Love this lil family.
You do some good work! I’m excited to see how you use those scales.
👍👍👍 job well done. It looks real good 🚜🚜🌿🌷🌿🚜🚜
Hi Tyler you really need to give yourself a lot of credit you work hard on your farm I see that every video
Good work. You're pretty Smart Farmer Tyler Brown !!!!
Did Callie desert you on this day??? I'm glad the weather has improved for you.
Callie paw prints in the cement weren't part of Tyler's plan.
@@davidk7324 I did think of that.
She was hanging out with the family
Good morning FT.

That’s a good idea
Tyler use the grinder on the hard one and bolt cutters on the rest
Much better than most farmers I know would do.
Good job 👏
Next time try Screed uphill 😉

It seems like that should happen but…I can’t think of anyone I know that it has happened to haha!

I bet you slept well after that workout!
I really enjoy your program, you have so much knowledge till it amazes me. FROM GEORGIA
Brotha you are great at your work! Amazing to see! Resourceful!
Looking good! Great video. Thank you FTR. 👍
You Did that good, only what is missing at the exit ramp is peace of head board to make that concrete thick enough,it may crack at the edge, but it will work anyway for shure.
Ramps look great, sir!
Great job on the ramps!
'Note to self: Always pound form stakes below the level of the form.
I like your round work bench. Where can I get one ? lol
Haha!
I'm no construction person but if you did get a new larger shoot in sure you could buy a concrete blade for your saw and possibly cut some of the new concrete away.
Nice work, as always. ❤
Another job well done 👏
Good job Tyler
Good job..liked it and the grooves.
My head hurts so badly watching this I would have to give up on farming and go to work at Walmart!
U did a great job as usual.
Thanks Tyler. Great video
Finest fab man on d tube!! 😮😊
Pretty dang good job.
Lol...Smart ! Those 80 lb bags of concrete get too heavy. 60lb are the way to go. Same Harbor Frieght concrete mixer, does the jobs I need...
Another Great Job!
