Hey everyone. How does the german dub deal with the starlights having a male body but are actually female? Spanish dub gives the starlights male voices while not being transformed but, after transformed they have female voices. And the Seiya wanting to be with Sailor Moon is still a thing. The German version has all female cast. The voices were cast with being able to give the male identities a bit more brash sound at times, and then sounding more smooth after the henshin. Ditte Schupp, the German voice of Seiya/Fighter was all new to Sailormoon, and improved herself during the run of the season very much. Her performance in the end was wonderful. Martina Duncker (Taiki/Maker) was already well-known to the German audience as the German voice of Koan (SMR) and many, many Daimons (SMS). Her English pronunciation for the word star was quite funny though. She used to say “Shtar Power”, instead of “Star Power”. 😂 Apart from that her performance was really balanced. About the third one, Irina Wanka, who played Yaten/Healer, I could write essays. She and the voice of Sailorgalaxia were the absolute Stars (haha) of the season. She is the established voice for actresses like Sophie Marceau and Charlotte Gainsbourgh in Germany, so you can guess, she’s great, and she performed Yaten’s moods very funny.
