- Hello! Today I answered some questions I received in the comments about accutane. I also did my morning skincare routine while on accutane. I am almost finished with my entire experience on accutane. I have my last checkup the 8th of November. So, if you have any other questions regarding accutane leave them in the comments below and I will answer them to the best of my ability!

Yes I have! It might be a little confusing because I post videos about 2 weeks after I film them. Sorry about that! I have my last checkup tomorrow!

Hi. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I would like to ask what’s comes after accutane, will you start a topic retinoid for maintenance? Will you be adding any other topic acne medication to your routine ( BP or salicylic acid) ? By the way your skin is looking amazing!!
Hello! While I was doing research online I saw some dermatologist say you should wait 6 months after you stop accutane to add anything new to your routine. So when I was talking to my dermatologist about this, what to use and how long after accutane to add it into my routine. She said wait a month or so after you stop taking accutane and slowly add it (retinoid) into my skincare routine. I don't know if all dermatologists agree with this, but this is what she recommended for me. Specifically she said only like twice a week, and if any irritation occurred to stop and wait a couple more weeks and try again. And I haven't really looked into anything else other than retinoid, and vitamin c serum. I think in the next couple weeks or so I am going to be trying retinoid and seeing how it goes! I think I will be making a video about it as well! 😊

I am Bangladeshi, I want help from you. After 1 month of taking Isotretinoin, I do a blood test and see that the triglycerides in the blood have increased and become a border line. Shall I continue the medicine now? Has any of this happened to you ?? .

hey marie..i am finishing acutane...and here in india cerave is soo expensive...plz can u suggest some moisturisers...i had exactly same redness that u have during acutane bt my redness is still thr what to do

did accutane have any effect on your rosacea. Im just about to start accutane but have underlying rosacea and am worried it will flare. Please let me know your experience ?
The first couple months I did have some flare ups, so I talked with my dermatologist. Since it wasn't out of control or anything she recommended using a good moisturizer on it, and keeping an eye on it. She said if by my next checkup it got worse she could prescribe me a topical cream for it, but thankfully it got better as the months went on. So, I wouldn't stress to much about it😊
How long did it take for the pigmentation to go away
Hi! So I still have hyperpigmentation/scars on my cheeks, but it's slowly fading as time goes on. While on accutane I noticed around the last couple of months my scars really started to fade. I don't think I would have noticed it if I didn't take videos/pictures every month!
Did your acne come back after acutane and how about your hairfall on acutane ?
Hello! It's been about a month since I stopped accutane, and I haven't had any pimples. For overall skin maintenance, I am going to start using a retinoid to help keep my skin clear. And my hair did pretty well on Accutane. I noticed around the last month I was shedding more hair than usual, but not so much that it was concerning. I hope this helps😊
When did your purge begin and how long did it last ?
For me, purging was at its worst in month two. It slowly got better throughout the month, and ended by month three! Hope this helps😊

Hi I am on my 2nd day with accutane . I have lots of pustules which are so painful😢
Yes purging is very normal. It sucks at the beginning, but the end result is totally worth it! Hang in there😊
hello dear are you aviod dairy product like milk yugurt etc?
Hello! Yes, I avoid a lot of dairy products! And if I do end up eating something with dairy in it, I just make sure to limit how much I eat. Sometimes I will use aged cheeses like asiago since there is a lower lactose level. Other than that I don't eat a lot of dairy.😊

I didn't experience any hair loss on accutane. I was very scared as well before taking accutane. If your dermatologist thinks it will be okay then I would listen to their advice. Also, if it ends up not working out for you, you can always stop taking the medication! I wish you the best of luck😊
