Honestly, Knack is one of those franchises that deserves to be better than it actually is. Not saying that neither game in the duology is bad, they're both fun and underrated, but I feel like if it was more mature and had a better first impression from an artstyle, gameplay and story perspective, then I feel like people would've appreciated it more other than the graphics being really good.
The character designs are off to me, in my opinion. That could be why the games are not as good if the characters feel somewhat stiff.
