People find stuff like this spooky but I find haunting for a different reason. This place was made for a purpose. Whether you think the simple and perhaps gratuitous pursuit of selling stuff admirable is up to you, but there was joy here from the customers. Id wager 95% of every visit I’ve ever had to a mall as a pleasant, fun, or even joyous experience. This place was no different for thousands of people yet…. Now there’s only ghosts and rot. It’s like a building size broken and abandoned toy now devoid of its once served purpose. It fills me with immense sadness.
Yeah, they were once living breathing complexes and now they stand echoing silent, preserved like this in a weird limbo, like what's with the power on in these places, the apparent upkeep? Isn't it odd to leave these on and not clear out all the leftover stuff and recoup some of the owners financial losses? And everything is still plugged in, talk about running up the bill for an empty mall!
I think it’s so sad to see these beautiful malls closing everywhere. Going to the mall was always a fun time. A great way to spend a day with your kids.
@@AdventureStones-zm4gd yeah they overbuilt the big malls and then cannibalized them with outlet malls and strip malls. Then of course the 1-2 punch of Walmart and Amazon killed most of them.
This place will probably be vandalized now after you told the name and location of this mall. It's sad to see all these malls close and be demolished because nobody wants to shop at malls anymore. Eventually Temu or Amazon will be your only 2 options for buying clothes, groceries, and everything else
@lidelse666 They think us urban explorers do all the paint tags and smash windows in. I don't ever imagine doing things like that because I respect the buildings I explore. Take nothing only photos or videos, no vandalism and leave nothing but pawprints behind.
Getting in here was like we just walked in, It is HARD to get in and we are lucky to have found that, every single window and door of this place broken or not has been sealed with plywood.
as we were leaving the property some guys told us abt how they used to go there every now and then, it is sad especially when you think about the state of that town
Happen to come upon you on my recommended videos, good shit man!
Always love hearing it!

was that music playing in the mall or was it added to the video in editing?

It sadly is, I think that there was a big boom in the 90s and now the only malls that remain are ones in populated cities and areas

nah, gatekeeping is for whiny sissies plus everyone knows where this mall is, i see it everytime i’m in aberdeen. its not a secret lmao
not to mention, hold the kids who actually vandalize accountable, not curious people who just want to visit when they’re in town
