Idk why but the part at 2:03 is always my favorite, something about the way it ascends and gets deeper and deeper filling out as the song goes on really speaks to me...

Somebody already said this on another video, but I love the way you preserve the melody and clarity of the song, without flooding it with a bunch of useless notes for dramatic effect, like a bunch of other piano covers do. Wonderful job! This is truly beautiful!

Tip for people playing this who dont have hands big enough to play the chords at 0:11 remove the 2nd note from the first 3 chords. It really helps make them easier to play!
Or you can break your fingers to play it 😛
Or you can do some goofy technique to hit the first two red notes (of the first chord only) with one thumb allowing you to stretch your hand further

I don't think they reached the level of Toby Fox, but for a small fan-project they still did an amazing job. Better OST than in most big projects nowadays.

@@MilesProwerUA A fan project that took 7 or 8 years to finish development. Truly, the Undertale fanbase, is one of the most dedicated fanbases out there. The ones who made Undertale Yellow actually finished developing it. Far too many fanprojects out there gets abandoned and never get finished. I can speak from personal experience, kinda. I've wrote many stories, but none of them ever got fully finished, and quite a few of them I've lost the text files of them due to the devices they were stored on giving out on me. Some of the stories I wrote I abandoned because I hit writer's block and couldn't think of anything to continue the stories. I can only imagine how daunting a task it is to work on a fangame and stick to it in development to it's completion, no matter how many years it may take. It's not every fanproject that ever gets finished. Most fan projects are never completed. Be it a lack of any more inspiration to continue it, real life complications, the project data being lost and cannot be recovered, or the IP holders tied to what the fan project is, threatens legal action for using their IP in the fan project. Nintendo is infamous for doing that. It's clear the devs of Undertale Yellow were very passionate about the development of the game. They had new music made for the game (not having all the music directly coming from a source other than their team for the project as is), original characters, and the game is accurate to Undertale lore. Since Clover lacks the Determination soul, and therefore doesn't have enough Determination to gain the "SAVE Ability", Clover should not be able to save their game. So, the devs handed the game saving job to Flowey, who had the SAVE Ability before Frisk arrived. This game is so good as a fanmade prequel to Undertale, that I've placed a headcanon that it's what happened before the events of Undertale

I like how “A Mothers Love” could be both referring to Fox lady (forgor the name) love for their daughter but also the LV, aka Level of violence, since she’s going all genocide route by the end of the pacifist route

Who knew the pea shooter soul could take her down
Nice reciting of Ceroba in the Pacifist route of Undertale Yellow. I vaguely remember back when the project was incomplete. I think I've seen a UA-camr play the game several years ago. But after 7 or 8 years, Undertale Yellow finally got completed. I have great respect for the devs of that fangame. Most fans give-up at some point with their fan projects before they are finished. But the devs of this fangame saw this game to the completion of it's development. That's some great Perseverance to stick with the game till it was fully finished. They clearly love Undertale allot to do so

After listening to this one a few times, I think I like it better than the original. The original had more of an “Epic final battle” sound, but this cover seems more appropriate for the situation. The piano really helps sell the desperation. This is someone who is risking everything for what she sees as her last chance at salvaging her life. Helps sell the tragedy of it all.

@@Cleavrr actually there is one piece of dialogue somewhere in the Steamworks where Ceroba mentions that if they went through waterfall they would have to deal with Undyne, however, Undyne will not have known about this (which is why I have to tell her)

This feels like it would work so well with ceroba and you can feel how it matches with her regret and sadness as you go in and a build up to her past haunting her and how it really builds her character
I find it amazing how you can play just about anything on a piano, since it is so versatile.
I’m working on learning this song and have the first minute or so memorized thus far. I really love the how the segment around 0:51 feels!

My hands hurt a lot, my fingers are stretched too much. I need more hands to play this or to simplify the music even more. The progress is slow and hard, but that's just how the fight is.

this is a really good rendition and this is just a little nitpick, but why is the very first note for the right hand? playing it with the left yields the same result, and doesn't require the stretching of 12 white notes. really good though, guess I've found a new challenge.
It's just a limitation of Musescore, the app I use to make these covers. You can't stretch an arpeggio across two staves, so I had to put all the notes into the right hand. In the sheet music, the bottom note is notated in the left hand 😊
