- How can we go a whole Navaratri without a Deekshitar navavaranam? Today, the students of Tapasya and I, come to your Golu with the incomparable Sahana Navavaranam -“Sri KamalAmbikAyAm”. in praise of the Goddess who is the healing Raja Yoga who removes all transient illnesses (Sarva Roga Hara Chakra)
Sincere thanks to my students for taking the mammoth effort to learn the subtle nuances in the Kriti and executing the recording to the best of their abilities. They truly are such gems! We were lucky to have Vid Delhi Sairam play the Mridangam for this project. Thank you and hope you enjoyed listening to today’s Kriti! Part 2 coming soon!

Melodious and beautifully modulated, the presentation stands out for its perfect Shruti and spontaneous feel for the raga and the natural expression of bhava, demonstrating the rigorous and yet the loving care paid to the perfection of every minute note and each sangati in the highly evocative and soothing raga...the superb quality of training is clearly evident in each phrase and in the unerring instinct for modulation that combine to constitute a piece of artless art ..easily one of the best group singing events featured in this season of devotional music. Highly creditable for young trainees of Tapasya!

Agree, Navaratri Naadopasana would not be complete without rendering of the Navaavarana krithis. Raaga bhavam of Sahana is brought out. May the Goddess Kamalambika bless you all to continue singing such divine krithis.

Appreciate the efforts taken by you and your students. Keep up the good work. However, if allowed to make, I have a humble suggestion. Kindly give enough attention to the sahithya.
