      Amy Monsoor God Bless him; There is no greater gift than man can give them to give his life for his friends. And that is exactly what he did. Again, God bless him for making the ultimate sacrifice and following our Lord's greatest commandment in doing so.

      I participated in Mike's CASEVAC. That was the last time we (C Co. 1st Plt 1-6 INF) worked with the SEALs. The Eagle's Nest was the hotbed of the Ma'laab, and I'm grateful every day for his sacrifice.

    When a man has such a superhuman sense of selflessness to the degree in which he throws himself upon a live grenade to save the lives of others around him, how could those others not have some degree of survivor's guilt? I wasn't even there and I feel like I have survivors guilt just knowing about this man. I was toiling away in a factory the day he sacrificed his life. How can any man feel worthy compared to a man who had the balls to throw himself upon a live grenade? Fucking-A, man.

    Jesus Christ this makes me want to break down and cry. I didn't even cry when I watched my mama died I watched her draw her last breath it shook me to my core. But she was 74 years old riddle with cancer I knew that she was at peace. But hearing these men of strong moral character the love they have for they're Brothers is heartbreaking to say the least. I am so glad I found this channel that is going to help me shape my young 16 year old child into the man that I want him to be. Even though I am 58 years old and I've already raised three older children it's almost like this channel is giving me a guidebook a handbook on how to raise a strong child. Thank you so much for y'all's service and your information.

    So far, my favorite. As much as I hate the fact that young men die in battle, it is truly an honor to me that you are willing to share the emotions of that loss. This episode though, was about much more than that; Andrew sharing some hard truths about life after the Navy and the transition he went through. Jocko hearing that story, and then taking ownership about not being available to his friend and brother. Realizing that sometimes it's embarrassing to reach out for help. Understanding that in my own life, I shouldn't be embarrassed about failures, and that there is dignity in all things. Even failure. Just don't quit. Thank you gentlemen.

      The military and the system in our country has afforded us the opportunity to be soft. It’s definitely terrifying the majority of the population in the United States is softer then Charmin ultra soft lol. Thank god for people like Jocko and Andrew and countless of others that are out of this world warriors in this country. @rmv4646 3 роки тому +1

      @@kevinzhang3313 the men that served are studs ...I know because I trained them or I trained with them.
      Many, if not most of the younger generation, are the spineless cowards that he is talking about. You can see this in the average Testosterone levels of the general population. They are getting softer and softer. How does the saying go....."Soft men make hard times, hard times make strong men..." We seem to be in the weaker men time.
      When you speak of strong character, fearsome fighters and all of the other characteristics that describe strength, You can not compare the men that served with softer boys. They are not in the same ballpark.

    • @rmv4646
      @rmv4646 3 роки тому

      @Spartan that is a good point. But there is another part to that. The men that are competing are the top men. The average men are still getting weaker and softer. The extremes are getting further apart.

    From where I work between 6th and 7th on Chicon St I heard the 21 gun salute for Chris Kyle. I will never forget that.

    Another great interview Jocko! Echo also seems like a really cool guy. Would be great to see Marcus Luttrell on the podcast.
