I read the most interesting thought about Courtney in a long form magazine profile once-whether you love her and her work or absolutely hate her, ultimately no one pities her. She’s too strong to warrant it.
kind of impressive how the clothes and furnishings look like something which would not be out of place today. very uncommon to see something like this from the 90s
She’s classy and sassy, intelligent, very aware, talented, genuine and incredibly beautiful. Although I don’t like her attitude in the beginning, there’s no way not to fall in love with this woman.
Her attitude towards the media in general was understandable considering how the media treated her (and Kurt). She never knew if an interview was going to be twisted and warped after the fact to demonize and /or make her out to be a Yoko Ono in printing even though they were nice during the interview (as is what happened with the Sassy magazine interview).
You think doing an interview with her nipple hanging out and ordering people around with an over inflated ego is classy? You have a lot to learn about people...good luck in life!
Say what you want about her but she isn't stupid and knows this market and business very well. She is like Lars Ulrich both aren't top tier musicians but both are very marketable and know how markets work. They understand the business. These people always end up on top of the mountain.
1:54 I can see the clear difference-she knew what she was doing, but the guy in the interview definitely was rolling his eyes. He doesn’t get it. She does. Fuck him. The shot looked a hundred times better after Courtney adjusted their light.
Cortney gets what she wants no matter how big or small it is because she is a sociopath and Eric is just one of her puppets. If you cross her she'll kill you or get someone else to do it for her by paying them off and giving them a lifetime supply of Bjs ☠️☣️

As a huge CL fan, a fascinating interview. Bonus that EE spoke too. Such a shame that powder and pills took her away after this for over 10 years but now she really is her authentic self, living her best old lady life in London, challenging the patriarchy in social media & new music coming again soon.
She's washed up and over the hill. She thinks she's still significant but she's not, never has been. The reason she moved to London is because she had to get the bell out of Dodge after the kidnapping/ possible attempted murder, (repeat of what she did to Kurt), that she ordered on her ex son n law because he wouldn't give Kurts acoustic guitar back that Frances had given to him as a wedding gift. Also, because she has tax debts and other debts and she's out of money. Her new album will be a flop. The only time she has been significant was after her famous husband was murdered. She rode those coat tails as long as she could. She is vile and evil.

It's interesting what she said about privileged people going into rock might have been very violent to the working class people that have created it.
