My wife watches your wife's channel and recommended yours. I think its because I recently talked about giving learning guitar another shot. Your advice about playing in the dark to feel it, I think that is something I want to get good enough to learn.
Skills can be learned and improved upon. Talent can be developed. The best advice I can give from my personal experience is try to find someone to play with (either same or different instrument) and/or someone to encourage you. It’s easy to be self-critical and get frustrated - it helps to have an outside voice to support and encourage you
Dude, I really enjoyed this episode of your channel. It truly is all about the enjoyment of the journey. If I had anything to add, it would be something someone once told me a long time ago. He said, " a guitar player should always try to have a guitar that is better than he is because it gives him something to strive towards ". Keep up the good work, friend.
Hey Nick (and Jaime)! What are your recommendations for learning guitar from scratch? How do you practice meaningfully to actually improve? Also my dog Delilah looks like a slightly smaller Penny, just thought you should know 😂 love from western NC
"Its meant to be played to enjoy" can you talk about how to overcome wanting to enjoy the playing? When youre so early in the skill it feels like its all frustrations and no fun
Clicked right away, because I've been failing for years and right away you intimidated me playing like that man! 🥺😭🥹🤣 You play like you came out of the womb like that!🤩🤭 Ok Nick I'll try to be more proud of my musical failures😅
"guitar doesn't have to be intimidating".
Intimidates me with his guitar for 1 minute lol.
You’re doing fantastic, Nick 👏 👏
