I am too, we have exterior cameras facing both directions on the stop paddle side of the bus. As drivers we hit a panic button on our instrument panel, it marks the video, when we return to the yard, we can easily review the video, confirm license plate numbers and vehicle description. A woman is accused of nearly hitting two children as they exited a school bus in northern Minnesota last month. Brianna Johnson, 28, was charged in a warrant filed Tuesday for the near-miss in Pine County on Dec.
@@iSlutCake_only2genders You are the clown; she was recognised from a witness description, which was matched to a previous crime booking photo; there was a warrant for her arrest after law enforcement hadn’t been able to find Johnson, so she’s charged via warrant.
I definitely agree but in this case it wouldn't have helped anyone since they went around and parked car and off the road. So even if they had checked beforehand which I'm sure the kids probably did you wouldn't expect someone to fly around a parked car off road. We should just hold these horrible drivers more responsible as well
Ironically if you’ll slow down and pay attention you’ll see that both the kids were looking. Secondly, they are taught to look up at the bus driver who will wave them on as the driver has the best point of view of the rearward direction. Thirdly, the little boy saw the truck coming at him directly as the truck was pointed at him when it was coming back on the roadway. He ran from a point he thought the truck was headed to.
A woman killed three children at a schoolbus stop in Indiana. It was a girl(9) and her younger twin brothers(6). She was only sentenced to four years in prison, three years home detention and three years probation. She only served a little over two years in prison and was released. She never accepted responsibility for her actions and claimed to have not known she was coming up to a bus stop. The bus had the flashing stop sign and I believe a crossing arm as well.
At the least! One of my children's schoolmates who fell crossing the highway was nearly struck by a motorist who was driving over the speed limit & was just barely able to avoid hitting her by braking hard & swerving at the last moment then speeding away as fast as the curvy road would allow, likely endangering others with irresponsible driving.
@realist-2023 Why not? A normal person would assume children are crossing there. Therefore, driving through that intentionally, at that speed, is attempted murder or, at the very least, negligence, which could have resulted in death or great bodily harm.
Don't be so fkng stupid. Prison is for criminals. By the looks of it, these cars were driving at a sensible speed and were in no danger of hitting anyone.
When I get my 8 year old granddaughter from the school bus I tell her to look both ways. I tell her that it is taking responsibility for her own safety. She says that the bus driver tells her when it is safe. Her mother doesn’t think that it is necessary. I going to show both of them this video.

As a school bus driver, this irritates me to no end! ANYONE caught doing this (without injury) should be fined beyond reason AND lose their licence for life! Glad the kids were ok
I am too, we have exterior cameras facing both directions on the stop paddle side of the bus. As drivers we hit a panic button on our instrument panel, it marks the video, when we return to the yard, we can easily review the video, confirm license plate numbers and vehicle description. We then fill out a stop paddle violation form, our manager forwards it to our police department with copies of the video, and drivers are issued tickets! I believe they’re around $300, and they cannot be excused or given deferred status. It has stopped frequent violators on my route. So thankful!

Ironically BOTH kids did look both ways. Maybe slow down and pay attention to what really happened here. The kid was waiting in front of the bus until the moment the truck comes back into the roadway. At that point in time the truck was pointed directly at him in front of the bus. The kid thought the truck was going to hit the bus. He’s too young to realize the truck would correct its path so he took off running.

Law doesn't work like that. These are legal definitions, and murder doesn't line up. That's why manslaughter exists.

Always teach kids to look both ways before crossing any road or street, because there will always be one irresponsible driver.
I definitely agree but in this case it wouldn't have helped anyone since they went around and parked car and off the road. So even if they had checked beforehand which I'm sure the kids probably did you wouldn't expect someone to fly around a parked car off road. We should just hold these horrible drivers more responsible as well
Anyone should still look both aways before crossing the street
Ironically if you’ll slow down and pay attention you’ll see that both the kids were looking. Secondly, they are taught to look up at the bus driver who will wave them on as the driver has the best point of view of the rearward direction. Thirdly, the little boy saw the truck coming at him directly as the truck was pointed at him when it was coming back on the roadway. He ran from a point he thought the truck was headed to.
I get it driver’s at fault. But geez, teach your kids to look both ways before rushing out the roadway.
Facts
A woman killed three children at a schoolbus stop in Indiana. It was a girl(9) and her younger twin brothers(6). She was only sentenced to four years in prison, three years home detention and three years probation. She only served a little over two years in prison and was released. She never accepted responsibility for her actions and claimed to have not known she was coming up to a bus stop. The bus had the flashing stop sign and I believe a crossing arm as well.
This is why it’s the legal system and not the justice system 🫤

At the least! One of my children's schoolmates who fell crossing the highway was nearly struck by a motorist who was driving over the speed limit & was just barely able to avoid hitting her by braking hard & swerving at the last moment then speeding away as fast as the curvy road would allow, likely endangering others with irresponsible driving.
