another way is to cool the 6 beers in the first place and then pressing the button would release the beer from the cooling compartment to the opener. But it is a great idea as it most probably has lesser energy usage than having the beer in the fridge for days.
Yeah, the rod that was stuck into the beer was extremely cold, which got the beer to a cool [good for drinking] temperature. l'm pretty sure it's hooked up to a solar panel because the power that rod would demand would be far too much for an NXT program counter to give.
Shame lego's are so incredible slow. Upgrading this to use normal mechanics and electronics could make this entire process almost instant, longest wait time would be the cooling still.
so I have 2 choices either spend $500 and 4 months making and engineering a machine to make a beer cold or just get up and put it in the fridge for 2 minutes
its a cooled metal plate under the beer oh heres your comment so you dont forget. :How are you actually cooling the beer? i see a giant heatsink but how are you getting refrigeration?
some people just dont see logic and reasoning. yes it is easier to walk to the fridge but seriously can you do this? do you even have an idea about engineering,CAD or any type of designing and layout. this guy is a genious. its sad to see guys like this having to show off on youtube instead of actually working for leading engineering companies such as motorola. well done nxt1engineer its good to see other people besides myself enjoy challenging theirselves constantly building their I.Q.
This construction brings to us whole essence of LEGO...
How we are lived without that?
Vladimir Nikitin lol beer or LEGO :^)
how does it cool the beer
Its blocked in Australia for copyright
The whole point is creating this kind of machine! Nxt1engineer, Id really like to shake your hand. Great job, man!

Wonderful usage of color sensors as a method of brick-to-brick communi
Best invention since the internet! Future is now!
seems like a lot of work to go through to open a beer, but its bad ass! i want one
this would also make one hell of a bud light commercial.
I needed a beer just to sit through the music.
and now you need to build a track to bring youre beer to the couch
Why do i see this now?
Imagine how many beers, they must have opened to get it right :D
did it really cool that beer ?
great machine

I have to get one of those (to open soda bottles). This is AWESOME!
Hmm... cover it up with something so it looks better :D Well done on that beer machine!
Had a big smile on my face while watching that :). awesome dude!
no it dosent look like it has any can opener lever system plus that make it too long also you wold have to choose opening method in middle of process
Shame lego's are so incredible slow.
Upgrading this to use normal mechanics and electronics could make this entire process almost instant, longest wait time would be the cooling still.
Please give a brief explanation of how you are cooling it. I don't see the other part.
left open the bottle, right cooling the bottle
omg you have to wait 2 min if you want a cold beer lol!
nice dude it's amazing!
my manliness can't stand the music, but i sacrificed for the beers.
The best machine i ever see in my life!!!
This is amazing.. seems like a lot of effort but jeez nice work
so I have 2 choices either spend $500 and 4 months making and engineering a machine to make a beer cold or just get up and put it in the fridge for 2 minutes
Damn, now I want to make one that will mix a cocktail.
there is a fan under the heatsink and that sucks air through the heatsink whitch cools the air whith its surface area
oh well..this is amazing..but my question is how can u get all of the parts u wan?can u pls tell me?i wish i can make another product..
I think it's faster to open up a bottle and put it in the cooler, in less than a minute.
Quite fun. :)
You would just have to speed up the whole process to replace every bartenders in the world. ;)
hey are you dutch because the golsch i wanted to know how the cooling system works?
Me encanta, simplemente genial... Robotics de IEEE en mi campus estaría complacido con conocer más a fondo este proyecto :D!!!
its a cooled metal plate under the beer oh heres your comment so you dont forget. :How are you actually cooling the beer? i see a giant heatsink but how are you getting refrigeration?
order of operations. 1: Check beer temp then, 2: open
Hey I need a beer, where's my beer droid?
Very well done video.. now i need a beer ;)
i think i will do the manual part with the cooling and opening...
man's dreams finally coming true !
wouldn't it be more optimal to just have it cool all the time?
yea well....... this takes forever, i'll just put my beer in the refridgerator, and open it with my hand...
the COOL beer machine got my like
@420HoLLyWooD420 its the building kick.
A fan ain't gunna chill the beer. Maybe if the beer was scolding hot it could cool it down a bit... but it's useless otherwise.
super cool :) I always wanted to build cool stuff like this...but I am not awesome enough D: lol
@SeanyPMac thanks
@prolnx You are totally right... but the project itself is awesome... I think i'm gonna get a beer now :)
does it really cools the beer?
How many beers did you drink during this project?
twist-off bottles only? can it open regular bottles
man i want this thing duuuuuude!
does it really cools???
Guys can someone help me get the building instructions for this?:D please i need it for a school project
I assume the peltier effect, not exactly a lego piece.
dude did you get one of those things to type for you
Damn, now I gotta get a beer or four.
never seen a beer cooled that fast....what did you use? (maybe a Heat exchanger)
Its a solid state cooler. peltiear cooling.
in second part what does it do?
You should make a robot to get the beer
Not available on mobile??? WTF!!!
it has a freezing metal plate under it
Perfect! What else man needs. :)
Wouldn't mind a tutorial on this man! :)
so how do you cool it that fast if the beer is outside the fridge? ;)
Mumamamaaaaa -Bobs head- RADADADADADDADADADADA DADADADADADA OW WO WOWOWOAAA
Congratulations !
@snowydro1 sorry but what is VSAUCE,
Love the project! It combines two of my favorite things, beer and Legos. Good job and good video. Ignore the haters and trolls.
peltier cell, true?
Today is such a beerish day
Сегодня прямо пивной день какой-то.
Damn!! that's a cool device!!
How many beers got spilled at the start? ;)
It's Heineken, it tastes like raw sewage any way.

Not available on mobile devices
The only reason i would by this lego set..
uuhuuul lady gaga, nice idea my friend
@bl4ckprez most test with water,
@kiyotewolf see film part 4
@wsantos83 Peltier effect - google wikipedia
where is the beer ???
a real beer drinker from belgium ;-)
@301heng its about the building fun
See the oder part , that explane the cooler
Please make it available on mobile thx
What is this music?
I would rather get one from the fridge and open it with a bottle opener....
got it cool beer....
yes its peltier element he says it on another video
Tweet this to budlight or something.
that's not beer, its marketed tapwater from holland.
0:43 The BeerMote.
you first open than cool ?
wat Seth Rogers sayd
if you can do this can u make a soda can opener and send me the commands and the picture.
whats that video , i don't get it !!!
@atspencer89 Ok if you have the contacts let me now
Prędzej bym sobie język odgryzł niż czekał 1:30 na piwo :
@madman19931612 Yes
Awesome dude! BUT, I'm from belgium, and let me teel you 1 rule, don't call EVER Heiniken beer, come to belgium and taste real beer ;)
Ah ah ! Very good job man ;)
@snowydro1 thank now i get it, verry nice to now.
